Chapter 1: Acendia and Lo

Upon realizing that he should have died, Wu Jinyang's mind was filled with numerous questions, perplexing him. Who was the voice that had helped him, and why did he have the ability to sense the blue energy? Countless thoughts raced through his mind, but he could not come up with any answers.

Shaking his head, he thought to himself, "Never mind. I don't have enough information to comprehend what happened, so I should take it slow."

Suddenly, he felt an excruciating pain in his head, causing him to stumble and collapse onto the floor. As he lay there, countless memories flashed before his eyes, each one more vivid than the last. He couldn't help but clutch his head and grit his teeth, trying to endure the pain.

Gradually, the pain began to subside, and Wu Jinyang managed to sit up, resting against the side of his bed.

"I understand now!" he exclaimed, his voice trembling with a mixture of confusion and exhilaration. "I've been transmigrated to another world, but where exactly?" Despite his confusion, Wu Jinyang felt a sense of relief, knowing that he might be reunited with Meili, his beloved friend.

The sound of his voice seemed to reverberate within his mind as he waited for a response. For a moment, there was only silence, and Wu Jinyang began to feel a sense of disappointment. But then, a soft voice spoke to him, causing him to jump in surprise. while a transparent window appeared in front of him.

However, this also led to the appearance of countless blue portals, runic structures, and tower-like structures that caused destruction and chaos throughout the continent.

From these portals emerged new races that settled in Acendia, forever changing the continent's landscape and the lives of its inhabitants.

As Wu Jinyang shifted through his memories one after another, his heart ached at the thought of a certain white-haired girl. He promised to himself that he would bring back her lover at any cost, even if he had to become the enemy of the world.

Traits are powers obtained through enlightenment or achieving milestones in one's class. Promoting classes enables the host to ascend a specific trait of their choosing. Traits are ranked from G- to SSS+.

In the world of Acendia, energy is one of the most common concepts, with twelve different types of energies known as : Qi, Mana, Magi, Aura, Demonic Energy, Spiritual Essence, Draconic Energy, Blood Essence, Divine Essence, Celestial Energy, Renque, and ■■■■■.

Skills can be acquired through a variety of means, such as System Quests, Trials, Gates, Dungeons, Towers, and Skill Books. They are ranked from G- to SSS+.

In one of the scenes inside his memories, the old man asked Lo, "Kid, why do you keep stealing the locals' food?" He stared deeply into Lo's scarlet red eyes, trying to read his thoughts.

Lo replied, "No food. No AC."

Wu Jinyang remembered that AC was the currency used by every being in Acendia. The old man thought for a moment, then responded, "What about joining one of the four great academies? You would not need to resort to stealing food once you enter the academy."

The old man was impressed by Lo's physique, while he thought inwardly, 'This kid has the potential to become a 4th crescent rank.'

"No parents. Alone. Cannot accept," Lo replied in a tone devoid with emotions.

"What about this? This uncle will recommend you to one of the four great academies, and you will be in the academy for the next six years," the old man answered with a smile.

"Uncle?" Lo puzzledly inquired.

The old man chuckled, "Yes, call me Uncle Venes."

Lo nodded his head and answered, "Okay."

'So, Venes recommended me to one of the four great academies after our encounter,' Wu Jinyang began to skim through Lo's memories once more after he got admitted to one of the four great academies.

"Lo, has a cold personality and has been a loner for the past six years inside the academy. Despite being nearly identical to me, he appears much younger and has a more delicate body. The most striking feature about him is his white and grey hair and intimidating scarlet ruby eyes, which are much more intense and menacing than mine. It's no wonder the orphanage abandoned him. He literally looks like a demon king," Wu Jinyang mused, resting his chin in his hand.

Wu Jinyang continued to ponder Lo's origins. "I have no idea where Lo came from, and he has no prior connections except for Venes; he was a loner during his academic days."

Wu Jinyang then reflected on the beginning of his own story. "Usually, anyone between the ages of 10 and 16 can enter an academy as long as they can afford it or If you have a scholarship, you can gain an admission to a battle academy once you turn 16. Since I'm already 16 and have a prior scholarship at one of the four great academies, I'll be qualified to apply for Aleksia. However, I need to prepare for the admission test that they'll provide."
