Chapter 1: Acendia and Lo

Upon realizing that he should have died, Wu Jinyang's mind was filled with numerous questions, perplexing him. Who was the voice that had helped him, and why did he have the ability to sense the blue energy? Countless thoughts raced through his mind, but he could not come up with any answers.

Shaking his head, he thought to himself, "Never mind. I don't have enough information to comprehend what happened, so I should take it slow."

Suddenly, he felt an excruciating pain in his head, causing him to stumble and collapse onto the floor. As he lay there, countless memories flashed before his eyes, each one more vivid than the last. He couldn't help but clutch his head and grit his teeth, trying to endure the pain.

Gradually, the pain began to subside, and Wu Jinyang managed to sit up, resting against the side of his bed.

"I understand now!" he exclaimed, his voice trembling with a mixture of confusion and exhilaration. "I've been transmigrated to another world, but where exactly?" Despite his confusion, Wu Jinyang felt a sense of relief, knowing that he might be reunited with Meili, his beloved friend.

As Wu Jinyang tried to make sense of the situation, a sudden ding echoed in his mind, as he couldn't help but wonder where the sound was coming from. His thoughts turned to the memories of the original owner of his body that had assimilated with his own after the sudden headache.

Suddenly, he remembered the novel that narrated the concept that started this world: a power that every living being was born with. Excitement and curiosity filled him as he called out, "System."

The sound of his voice seemed to reverberate within his mind as he waited for a response. For a moment, there was only silence, and Wu Jinyang began to feel a sense of disappointment. But then, a soft voice spoke to him, causing him to jump in surprise. while a transparent window appeared in front of him.

[ The host has been transmigrated into the popular novel called [The Heroes Legacy] in order to save the previous world. You must clear the trial. ]

Wu Jinyang was filled with frustration as he realized the story he had transmigrated into. "What in the seven hells did I do in my past life to get transmigrated into a trash novel? And why does this world even exist? Out of the countless novels, why does it have to be this specific one!" he exclaimed.

[ Error! ]

[ %@$#&#@%$%!@ ]

[ Error! ]

Ding!..

[ Due to unknown circumstances, The host must save the world from the Void Order ]

"FUCK!" Wu Jinyang was even more frustrated now, as he was tasked with saving the world from the mysterious Void Order. Countless unanswered questions swirled in his head, fueling his resentment towards the system.

trying to calm himself down, Wu Jinyang realized that the task was too much to handle, from clearing the trial to saving the world. He then skimmed through the memories of [ The Heroes Legacy ], trying to make sense of the situation.

"In the story, there's no such thing as the Void Order. Furthermore, why does the system want me to save the world?" he muttered to himself.

The more he wondered, the more he felt his brain was about to explode.

"This is extremely exhausting."

He rubbed his temples as he continued to read through [ The Heroes Legacy ]. The world he was now in was called Acendia. Five thousand years ago, mana had assimilated with Acendia, granting humans the ability to use the 'System.' However, this also led to the appearance of countless blue portals, runic structures, and tower-like structures that caused destruction and chaos throughout the continent.

From these portals emerged new races that settled in Acendia, forever changing the continent's landscape and the lives of its inhabitants.

As Wu Jinyang shifted through his memories one after another, his heart ached at the thought of a certain white-haired girl. He promised to himself that he would bring back her lover at any cost, even if he had to become the enemy of the world.

Snapping out of his train of thought, Wu Jinyang inwardly called out, "System info," hoping to check his own status info.

'...'

The young man furrowed his brows, deep in thought as he recalled all the information about The Heroes Legacy. He knew that understanding the mechanics of this world was essential if he wanted to become stronger.

According to the narrator of the novel, there were 11 ranks in total, each with three tiers: low, intermediate, and peak. To reach enlightenment meant breaking through one's current rank, and it was no easy feat.

The ranks, in ascending order, were the 0th mortal rank, 1st star rank, 2nd star rank, 3rd star rank, 4th crescent rank, 5th moon rank, 6th bluemoon rank, 7th bloodmoon rank, 8th sun rank, 9th black star rank, 10th white star rank, and 11th demigod rank. Each rank was based on the amount of attributes being held within their system record, which was connected to their soul. This concept was known as Akashic Link.

Titles could be earned by completing specific milestones. Unique titles are obtained by performing actions that defied logic, while hidden titles were only given through the Administrator of the System, Akasha, or through the Hidden Trials.

Classes, just like any role-playing games, are the framework of the host. The system will record every action taken by the host to find the most suitable class for them. if a host defied logic, the system would create a unique class suitable for them. Hidden classes were obtainable by breaking the concepts of a specific class, and classes could be promoted once enlightenment is achieved.

Martial techniques can significantly improve a host's combat prowess. The strength of an individual increases with the strength of their martial technique, making it one of the most essential principles of a person's strength. Techniques are based on the strength of an individual's attribute stats.

The techniques had six ranks, ranging from 1★ to 6★.

Blessings are powers that defy logic, and one must have a deep understanding of a blessing before they can use it. Blessings can be obtained by receiving the blessing of a certain god, each of whom have a different concept.

There are currently 12 gods residing in the world of Acendia, but there are more than 12 gods in the entire universe. These 12 gods are the Guardians of Acendia. However, gods cannot intervene in the world of Acendia due to the immense power they hold.

Akashic's Record, the consciousness of the System. while Akasha is the Guardian of Akashic's Record, the Administrator of System.

The Akashic's Record placed a restriction on all gods, preventing them from interfering with the world of mortals. If a Demigod Rank being broken through the God Rank, they're no longer considered as mortals, and if a god intervenes in the world of mortals, they would receive a heavenly tribulation from the Akashic's Record.

"Currently, there are only 12 blessing holders residing in Acendia," Wu Jinyang mumbled. "However, my case is a little special. Only newborns can receive blessings through the system. If a blessing holder dies, a new one will appear. unless the original owner of the body had received a blessing."

"And that's not all," he continued. "My blessing is unknown. This has never happened before in the novel. Even if you are unfamiliar with the concept, the system typically offers clues about what kind of blessing an individual has. But in my case, there is no indication whatsoever." He frowned while deep in his thoughts.

Bloodlines are very significant in the world of Acendia. It determines a person's physical abilities based on their bloodline purity. The purer the bloodline, the stronger the physique. As a person's rank increases, their bloodline purity also improves. Some bloodlines possess unique superpowers, such as the [Forsaken Flower - Ice Manipulation Bloodline].

Legend has it that a pregnant woman was abandoned by her husband due to power greed. The woman was left freezing to death inside a dungeon called the Frozen Palace. Her unwavering determination to survive with her baby and resolution of killing her husband awakened her bloodline deep within her. Due to the freezing environment, the bloodline within her absorbed the frozen mana inside the dungeon, and she awakened the bloodline called [ Forsaken Flower ].

Talents are innate powers a person is born with, determined by their birth, bloodline, and luck. Talents align with an individual's nature and personality, and are ranked : Rare, Unique, Epic, Legendary, Exotic, and Chaos.

Traits are powers obtained through enlightenment or achieving milestones in one's class. Promoting classes enables the host to ascend a specific trait of their choosing. Traits are ranked from G- to SSS+.

In the world of Acendia, energy is one of the most common concepts, with twelve different types of energies known as : Qi, Mana, Magi, Aura, Demonic Energy, Spiritual Essence, Draconic Energy, Blood Essence, Divine Essence, Celestial Energy, Renque, and ■■■■■.

Skills can be acquired through a variety of means, such as System Quests, Trials, Gates, Dungeons, Towers, and Skill Books. They are ranked from G- to SSS+.

After recalling all the information regarding the novel "..." the young man was speechless about the system info displayed in front of him. He began to ponder, "Who is Lo? The original owner of this body. In the novel, I don't recall a character named Lo. Not only that, but why does he have question marks in his surname, bloodline, and talent?"

Wu Jinyang furrowed his brow and delved into Lo's memories, hoping to find some clue about his origins. He learned that Lo was an orphan with no known background, taken in by the orphanage at birth. At the age of seven, he was abandoned due to his intimidating scarlet eyes, and he had to survive alone by stealing food from the locals. For three years, he honed his skills as a thief, until one day, he was caught by an old man.

The old man wore a black fedora on his head, had scarlet red hair, and a pair of protruding purple eyes that shone with intelligence. He was as handsome as a young adult, with a lean body that exuded a sense of power and authority wherever he went. His noble aura was filled with grace and perfection, as if he was born to rule.

In one of the scenes inside his memories, the old man asked Lo, "Kid, why do you keep stealing the locals' food?" He stared deeply into Lo's scarlet red eyes, trying to read his thoughts.

Lo replied, "No food. No AC."

Wu Jinyang remembered that AC was the currency used by every being in Acendia. The old man thought for a moment, then responded, "What about joining one of the four great academies? You would not need to resort to stealing food once you enter the academy."

The old man was impressed by Lo's physique, while he thought inwardly, 'This kid has the potential to become a 4th crescent rank.'

"No parents. Alone. Cannot accept," Lo replied in a tone devoid with emotions.

"What about this? This uncle will recommend you to one of the four great academies, and you will be in the academy for the next six years," the old man answered with a smile.

"Uncle?" Lo puzzledly inquired.

The old man chuckled, "Yes, call me Uncle Venes."

Lo nodded his head and answered, "Okay."

...

After reviewing Lo's origins, Wu Jinyang shook himself out of his thoughts.

'So, Venes recommended me to one of the four great academies after our encounter,' Wu Jinyang began to skim through Lo's memories once more after he got admitted to one of the four great academies.

"Lo, has a cold personality and has been a loner for the past six years inside the academy. Despite being nearly identical to me, he appears much younger and has a more delicate body. The most striking feature about him is his white and grey hair and intimidating scarlet ruby eyes, which are much more intense and menacing than mine. It's no wonder the orphanage abandoned him. He literally looks like a demon king," Wu Jinyang mused, resting his chin in his hand.

Wu Jinyang continued to ponder Lo's origins. "I have no idea where Lo came from, and he has no prior connections except for Venes; he was a loner during his academic days."

Wu Jinyang then reflected on the beginning of his own story. "Usually, anyone between the ages of 10 and 16 can enter an academy as long as they can afford it or If you have a scholarship, you can gain an admission to a battle academy once you turn 16. Since I'm already 16 and have a prior scholarship at one of the four great academies, I'll be qualified to apply for Aleksia. However, I need to prepare for the admission test that they'll provide."

"Aleksia, the most prestigious battle academy in the entire human domain." After some contemplation about the story, he approached the mirror in front of him and stared at himself, planning every action he would take in order to achieve his end goal.
