RETURNING BACK

After our little heart to heart talk, I and Gabriel went back to the others. I was feeling like I have won some battle and was in a good mood, but my body was crying for some rest. Though it had been hours, I was still in my cold and wet clothes.
"Where is Nora?" Gabriel asked him as we reached near everybody..
He, not much surprisingly, was busy with his phone. When he heard us nearing him, he lifted his head ever so slowly that I thought someone has to fade up with his attitude and broke his neck. I wish.
"She left."
A shiver ran down my spine at his deep voice, but it was not because of fear or cold. Mere two words from his mouth made me feel something different yet ecstatic that I couldn't pin-point on. I took a moment to watch his strongly build frame which was not less than a mighty mountain. I forgot about him because of all the recent events.
Gabriel only nodded and sat beside him on the metal bench.
