BRIA
I couldn't describe how relieved I felt as soon as my body got in the van and I closed the door behind me. Noah swirled the vehicle skillfully in that narrow space and changed the direction leaving the attackers far behind.
He didn't slow down the speed even for a bit as bullets kept pointing in our way.
"Bria, are you hurt?" Even in that situation, he tore his gaze from the bumpy road to meet my face.
I was taken aback by the intense look in his worried green eyes.
"No. I am alright." I managed to tell only to see relief washed over him.
His tensed shoulders relaxed slightly. But I could still feel my heart thudding anxiously in my chest, and the aftereffect of adrenaline had me worn out with numbness slowly spreading throughout me.
I was worried for Sam. He had lost so much blood already. He was a kind person and didn't deserve any of this. None of them deserved it, to be honest. But I brought it all upon them!
