THE TOXIC BOND

Love can conquer Evil, but what if your love is EVIL? A promise was made two years ago between the two broken souls...a promise of working on their imperfections and sharpening them to fit in each other perfectly. THE TOXIC DEAL was what clashed their destinies together. Life threw the thorns of secrets and betrayals in their way, yet they fought together. They won together! Parting their ways was their conscious choice with a hope of a better tomorrow. Their promise kept them going and battling their demons. But not all promises are meant to be kept! Bria Maxwell and Hayden King couldn't find their happy ending in the first book- THE TOXIC DEAL. Now it is time for the reunion, but are they ready to face each other after growing into two completely different persons? Is their love still strong enough to burn bright in the fire of desire? Or the willingness to fight for each other has already faded away? Join them in their further adventure that is grander, scarier, more thrilling and... more dangerous! ***** This is the second book of the 'TOXIC' series! The cover photo belongs to its 'rightful owner', and I have only used it for my book. If you want me to take it down, then please contact me, and I will do it immediately. 58 I PROMISE, I WILL BE SAFE!

BRIA

My heart lurched in my chest as fear hit me like a brick thrown into my face. Before I knew it, I was already on my feet, running towards the cabin, not realising that my phone had slipped from my hands and crashed on the ground behind me.

I heard the sounds of struggle and curses as Sam yelled curses before that yelling turned into groans of pain.

"Bria!" I heard Joshua's concerned voice from behind me. But I didn't stop. My legs carried me faster to the front door. I pushed it open only to see the sight that I never wished to see.

Sam lay on the floor near the dining table, matted in his own blood. As I took a step closer, a knife rooted in his side caught my attention. I gasped in shock, feeling all the air leaving my body for a moment.

But before I get a chance to recover from that shock, I was pushed to the side. I turned to see Bonnie holding a man's hand with a knife from behind me.
