Chapter 12: Betrayl

"Alistair." Fenrir pried.

"Calm down." Alistair tried to keep himself composed, "I'll draw out a map."Alistair being a Communicator, he could ask the walls to show him the way.

As Alistair sketched out a map, Fenrir's tail lashed impatiently.

"When do we make our move?"Fenrir grumbled.

"When the time is right."I was getting irritated with Fenrir's impatience.

"Are you sure we can trust all the people here?"Phoebe looked around at everyone skeptically.

"Phoebe..."Titan placed his large hand on his Sublime's shoulder. His branding was on his bicep, it was a black shield. Phoebe's was a pentagram on her left cheek. "These are our friends."He tried to console her.

She sighed, not wanting to go against her love, so she forced a smile. You could see the rage in her eyes. She was excellent at hiding her true feelings, something was off about her. I just couldn't figure out what.

"We'll make our move in one week."I decided finally.

Alistair finished sketching the map, and began explaining the corridors and the guard schedules.

"How do you know their schedule so well? It couldn't possibly just be that you asked the walls."Phoebe glared at him.

"Actually it is, however I've been studying it myself for years, in the hopes that one day I'd finally have the guts to escape."He blushed, scratching the back of his head.

"Everything will work out."I said, trying to convince myself more than anyone else. It had to.

"I don't know that I can go through another drug dependency treatment."Stella said weakly, leanig against Fenrir's chest, his arms protectively around her.

"When is your next treatment scheduled for?"Shira looked at her with soft, sympathetic ruby eyes.

"Five days."She said meekly.

"But they just put you through a treatment two days ago."Fenrir looked concerned, his eyes full of a mixture of rage and sadness.

"Yes, they are uping my treatments, they are afraid I'm building up resistance."She coughed.

"Are you?"Phoebe said impatiently.

"I'm not sure."Stella looked off to the side.

"We need seven days to gather the supplies."I sighed, I felt bad for Stella.

"Can you stand one more treatment?"Phoebe's voice was sterile of any emotion.

"How dare you!"Fenrir growled. "I'm not gonna let them put Stella through any more treatments! They weaken her body..."He looked like he was going to lose it.

"Well she has to."Phoebe said bitterly.

"No--"Fenrir started.

"Yes...I can hold on."Stella croaked weakly.

"Ok...One week...Then we will escape "I said feeling bad for her.

Seven days passed by in a flash. It was 2:32AM. We had all gathered supplies in bags and met in my cell room.

"Are you ready?"I said in a hushed voice.

"Wait where's Phoebe?"Titan looked anxiously around for his Sublime.

Everyone looked around, but she wasn't with us.

"We have to make our move now if we are gonna make it."Alistair rushed.

"I can't leave her."Titan voice was filled with heart ache.

"Come on Titan, she'll be okay. She will find a way out."Shira put her hand on his back.

"I...I can't."He closed his eyes looking away from everyone.

"We aren't leaving you behind."Fenrir glared.

"And I can't leave Phoebe."

"You won't be. We will find her along the way."I assured him. He nodded and agreed to come along.

"This way."Alistair guided us through many halls, we would have been lost without him, all the hallways blended together, it was dizzying.

"Wait."He held out his arm, as two soldiers passed by, distracted by each other, not paying any attention to the surroundings they'd gotten so desensitized to.

It seemed to go on for hours, before we came to an open room, that was as harshly lit as the hallways.

"Well well well."I heard my father's voice, he stepped out from behind the large doorway, leading to the outside.

"So...You really are trying to escape."He looked aggravated.

"Wha..."I felt a grip on my heart. I looked down at Ambrosia in my arms. This can't be happening. I have to get her out of here.

I glared at him, "Move."I growled.

"Unfortunately..."He grinned. "I cannot do that."He rubbed the bridge of his nose, he was quickly losing patience.

"How did you...How did you know?!"I glared at him with deep hatred.

"Come on out dear."He grinned with that devilish look in his blood red eyes.

Foot steps echoed, bouncing off of the high ceiling.

"Ph...Phoebe."Titan looked devastated.

"Do you really think that you would have so easily escaped?"He laughed.

"...So...We came all this way because you...because you wanted to toy with us?!"I yelled.

"Yes. I wanted your hope to fester and grow then crush it all at once."His eyes were crazed.

"Little Phoebe here told me all about it."He pat her on the head.

"Why...?"Titan looked heart-broken.

"I did it for us!"She called out to him. "So we could be together forever!"

"We could have been together and free!"Titan placed his hand on his chest, his heart must have ached greatly. "You...You betrayed us..."He paused for a moment. "You betrayed me..."Titan said trailing off to a whisper.

"I did all of this for us!"The look she had, matched the crazed one of my father, she was just as Dark as him.

"Move!"Titan looked up from the ground, glaring at her.

"Titan.."She looked confused. "Come over here. We can be together."She took a wobbly step towards him. Her mind wasn't hers anymore. It was like she had been poisoned.

"Phoebe..."My father glared at us coldly.

"Yes my Lord."She stood up straight, attentively waiting for his next words.

"Kill them all..."
