Touring Midgar

John and Nesiara were sitting across Elmyra as she says, "It must be uncomfortable for you John since the house wasn't made for people of your size."

"I can handle it but thank you for taking us in tonight. I will most likely sleep on the roof that way you won't need to worry about me breaking the floor with my head," says John as Elmyra looked at him seriously.

"You will sleep where I tell you, do you understand," says Elmyra in a commanding tone making John and Nesiara smile seeing that Elmyra wanted the best for their family.

In the meantime, Aerith was on the train towards the city with the others when she says, "We should do fine and return home fast today."

"Why?" asks Kieron making Aerith smile.

"Little brother you still have to learn many things it seems. What Aerith meant was that three beautiful women should be able to sell off those flowers easily by using our charm," says Yui as she explained it to Kieron while Nora was having small talk with Aerith who wanted to find out more about elves.

They entered a security checkpoint as a red wall came towards them when all three suddenly were ready to fight until Aerith calms them down saying, "Don't worry this was just a security checkpoint. Nothing should happen since you have IDs right."

"Sorry, just our instincts. We were trained to be ready at every moment after all," says Nora as she sits back down beside her while Yui sats on the other side of Aerith with Kieron was sitting beside Nora as he sat quite comfortable stretching his legs out.

As they enter Midgar, they began to look around finding that the city was quite futuristic but at the same time it was quite antic. If they began to compare Midgar with Tokyo and they said in Union, "I think Tokyo was more modern than Midgar even if they don't have Mako it."

"You come from a world without Mako?" asks Aerith as she became curious hearing about it.

"Well we don't really know much about how energy is made in our world but our father does. He lived the longest surrounded by electricity and how to produce it," says Kieron as they really didn't know since most of their life they lived in either the Time Chamber or Underworld.

"I will have to ask him later then," says Aerith as they were about to reach Sector 8 as the announcement informed them.

They step out of the wagon and Aerith guided them through the Sector while selling the flowers to most restaurants as they bought them for the atmosphere in the restaurant became favorable for some guests.

They were walking through the sector when Kieron sees people that look like soldiers and asks, "Why are there soldiers running on the streets?"

"Those are Infantryman hired by Shinra to keep the street safe," says Aerith as the trio were confused by this.

"Are you at war?" asks Yui as she was quite confused to see people that heavily equipped walking down the streets.

They remember their parents showing them how a policeman looked like and those people didn't look like the police.

Aerith dragged them away as she didn't want to get caught by Shinra and says, "Come on we still need to sell the leftover flowers they won't sell themselves."

The trio followed her as they sold the last flowers before they returned to the train station in Sector 8 to return to the Slums under Sector 5.

They waited for the train when someone bald in black clothes who was wearing sunglasses and had a goatee came walking towards them.

"Rude," says Aerith as she had her normal smile on her face.

"Hrmm," says only Rude confusing the trio when he says, "Shouldn't you be in the Slums. You know that if it was my mission I would have to take you away right now."

"I know but it isn't your mission that's why I think it is fine to talk to each other," says Aerith as Rude looked at her company.

"Friends of yours?" asks Rude as Aerith nods.

"Yes, those are Yui, Nora, and Kieron. They are siblings that arrived in Midgar today. Im helping them with my mother to get a foothold in the slums," says Aerith as Rude just looked at Kieron since he was quite taller than him.

"Kieron is also my new bodyguard," says Aerith as Rude could see why such a big guy could intimidate people that search for trouble as Rude only nods.

"Go straight home and don't get caught," says Rude without changing his expression as he leaves them alone.

"He is quite expressionless," says Yui as Nora couldn't say much about that since she was also quite expressionless.

"Don't be deceived by his appearance. He is quite a big softy inside," says Aerith when the train arrived.

They board the train when Nora asks, "What did he mean with 'If it was my mission to capture you I had to take you away right now.'?"

Aerith was trying to avoid this topic but couldn't any longer as she says, "You know that I'm a half Cetra. Well, how to explain this."

"You don't have to if it's that personal to you," says Yui as she and Kieron were more understanding of her situation than Nora.

"Thank you, but you should know it since they could go after you to get to me," says Aerith as she takes a deep breath and continues, "Well since I'm the last Cetra descendant they try to take me as a prisoner. Rude is one of the nice guys even if he works for Shinra who are trying to capture me."

"Alright, I think we know where this is going so how about we make a little promise. You won't do anything stupid and if you do then we will be there to save you," says Yui as she puts her hand on Aerith's shoulder creating a Hiraishin seal on Aerith while the other do the same making Aerith looks confused at them.

"What were you doing?" asks Aerith when Kieron enters the other wagon when Aerith asks, "Why is he going away?"

"He is just going to demonstrate why we put our hand on your shoulder," says Yui as Kieron suddenly appears in front of Aerith surprising her when Yui says, "This is called the Flying Thunder God Technique or for short Hiraishin. Everyone in the family can use this technique but you need to mark your destination before."

"That's what you did when you touched my shoulder," says Aerith as the trio nods when Aerith takes them into her arms out of happiness that they would go to such length of keeping her safe.

"Now I know that you are happy but Kieron is a young man. We shouldn't tease him that much," says Yui as Aerith lets go of them.

It was quite safe to use it right now since no one was in the same wagon as them. They arrived at the slums and they step out of the train.

Walking down the path home the path nothing really happened as they arrived home finding Nesiara and Elmyra cooking dinner together while John was sitting on a chair that looked as if it was about to break as he was quite heavy even if he didn't look like it.

"Ah, you are back. I hope you didn't encounter trouble," says John as he was the first to see them when he sees them holding their laughing back and says, "You can laugh if you want. Elmyra and Nesiara already did so."

They then didn't hold back since it looked quite comical seeing a man like John sitting on a chair that was about to break not knowing if it was because of his height or because of gravity since his head was hitting the roof.

"How about you all stop laughing and go to Fifth Cafe to borrow some chairs for tonight," says Elmyra as she also found it quite funny that if John made a slight move the chair would give off a sound warning him.

"Alright," says Aerith as she heads back out with the twins while Yui stayed behind.

"So you aren't Aerith real mother right?" asks Yui as Elmyra smiles at her sadly.

"I'm not. I adopted her," says Elmyra not wanting to talk too much about why she adopted Aerith when Yui walks over and hugs her.

"I'm also kind of adopted," says Yui as Elmyra looked at Nesiara confused since Yui was almost identical to her making it almost impossible that she was adopted.

"She is adopted even if that is only a theoretical way to say it. My husband's grandfather is a god if we don't take it precisely. He took a hair of mine and from John and that gave Yui her appearance making her our real daughter," says Nesiara explaining how Yui became their daughter to Elmyra.

"I would say it normal since you can't reject a child in need," says Elmyra remembering when she adopted Aerith when she says, "So she told you about her heritage."

"Well it was us that began since we aren't really pure human either," says Nesiara showing her ears as Elmyra looked at John.

"I was pure human until I meet Nesiara. It's quite hard to explain what I'm right now," says John as Elmyra nods.

"Everyone has secrets. I won't pry on them if it's uncomfortable for you to talk about it," says Elmyra as John smiles thanking her for understanding.

Aerith returned with the twins with some chair as John changed from the chair to the floor as it was more comfortable for him and the chair.

They began to eat dinner as a big family as John began to tell stories about Alfheim and Aincrad that even the children never heard of making the house have a nice and warm atmosphere.

After dinner, the women began to clean the dishes together while John moved the table and the chairs to the side as Elmyra thought that with some blankets on the floor they could make a bed in the living room while Aerith and Yui share a room while Nora and Kieron shared the attic.

Elmyra would sleep in her room with Nesiara for the night as Elmyra brought the blankets down for him with a pillow and says, "Good Night, John."

As she returned to her room to sleep with Nesiara as John made his own bed before sleeping for the day.
