The Plan

Two days passed since the Great Ape sighting in Night City. The people were shocked after seeing the news report on it all over the world claiming it was a failed experiment from one of the Corporations but many are still questioning where the Ape disappeared to since it ran to the Badlands before vanishing out of nowhere.

In the meantime everyone was after the Great Ape, Goro, Jackie, and V met with Hanako in Goro's hideout. They had enough time to convince Hanako of what happened in the Penthouse on the night Saburo Arasaka died.

She now knew for certain that it was her brother that killed their father. She told the trio that she would clean their names if they helped her to take down her brother without killing him.

V and Jackie were confused by it while Goro agreed immediately before looking at the duo when V hears, "Don't take this."

V was surprised because it wasn't Johnny who told her to not take the deal but Graves when Johnny says, "It seems we are once on the same page."

'Why shouldn't I take the deal?' asks V when Graves and Johnny appear before her.

"I have seen such deals many times in my life. They never end well. But you should still accept it and play along to not raise suspicion," says Graves telling V to accept it but not follow through with it later on.

"Does the 'big man' have a big plan to deal with Arasaka?" asks Johnny talking about John.

"Yes, he has a plan which will separate you two but for that, he needs V near Mikoshi," says Graves making Johnny's eyes pop-up wide behind his sunglasses.

"That bastard, he knew it from the beginning," says Johnny as Graves nods.

"He did but V needs to get there by herself or she wouldn't become who she needs to be," says Graves as he looked at V seriously before saying, "This path that you are following is the path another you would have taken in a parallel universe without John's or Nesiara's help. They are just giving you a small push in the right direction the whole time."

'So I should accept the proposal for now,' says V as she looks at Hanako and says, "I will try my best in keeping your brother alive but I can't promise you anything."

"Chica, are you sure about this?" asks Jackie worried that V was selling her soul to the Devil at the moment.

"Yes," says V reassuring Jackie who agrees as well to help Hanako.

"Good, then I should leave and make it look like Oda sacrificed himself to save me. They will at least bury him in full honor instead of how they would bury him if they knew the truth behind his death," says Hanako ready to leave Goro's hideout.

She leaves them standing and calls a person that she could trust while Goro tells the duo that he will contact them when Hanako was ready to attack Yorinobu.

The duo leaves as well when Jackie says, "I feel like I sold my soul to the Devil. How many times do you think I need to shower to get the stain from my body?"

"We are going to backstab them," says V reassuring Jackie that they didn't sell their souls to the Devil but want to fuck the Devil before he could fuck them.

"So you have a plan, Chica," says Jackie not feeling that dirty any longer while looking at V curiously waiting for her to tell him her plan.

"Not I, but John seems to pull all the strings," says V a bit annoyed with John planning everything for her.

They soon arrived at Viktor's place and find John and Viktor together watching the news when John notices them.

"How was the meeting?" asks John curiously since Nesiara made the perfect distraction.

"Hanako wants us to help her gain control over Arasaka again while leaving her brother alive," says V a bit pissed because she feels used by John.

"Do you want to know why she wants Yorinobu alive?" asks John seeing that V was pissed but he doesn't know why.

"I think it is because they are family," says V making John smile.

"You are almost right," says John as he walks towards the duo.

"What if I tell you that Johnny Silverhand was just a prototype for something way bigger than you are even thinking right now," says John picking their interest.

"Which is?" asks V as John turns around towards Viktor borrowing his screen for a moment.

"The Relic could give a person immortality if he has a suitable. Why do you think Hanako wants Yorinobu alive?" asks John trying to make them think on their own when Johnny appears before V holding his head, walking in circles in a panic almost.

"Shit, they want to bring back the big boss," says Johnny to V who was stunned after hearing Johnny.

"Saburo Arasaka, they want to bring him back. But isn't he dead?" asks V not sure how they would be able to copy his brain on an engram as they did with Johnny.

"Saburo isn't dumb, girl," says John while Viktor and Jackie were too stunned to say anything.

"He regularly would copy his mind into an engram saving it in Mikoshi just in case something like this happens to him. Now for him to come back he needs a suitable body and who would be the best pick if not his own biological son," says John putting almost all the cards on the table.

"And how are we going to make sure that this doesn't happen?" asks V the only one not stunned enough to ask the question.

John smiled at her before he showed them the screen of Viktor's which has a map of Night City on it before saying, "An attack on multiple fronts."

Now the plan unfolded before their eyes on the screen while John says, "Grimoire and the Aldecaldos will be striking from underneath drilling a tunnel into Arasaka Tower. Nesiara, Rogue, and her team will be striking from the air. I will be entering from the front door. And you two will be right here."

John pointed at a red dot that was already in the building when he continues, "Hanako will be taking you two and Goro inside for a meeting. Just play along until Nesiara and Rogue arrive at your location."

"I don't have a good feeling about that," says Jackie as he sees the heli crash into the building on the same floor they would be on.

"Don't worry about it. Nothing will happen to you two except for Arasaka troops shooting at you," says John not reassuring Jackie one bit.

"Yeah, we will be in the Arasaka Tower which has already two giant holes in it while Arasaka troops will be shooting at us. I see no problem in it except that we are inside their FUCKING HOME BASE!" says Jackie getting loud when John looks at him and only smiles.

"Didn't you say that to become a Legend someone needs to die?" says John asking Jackie rhetorically as he was making fun of this world's logic that someone needed to die to become a Legend.

"I almost died once. I don't need to die for real leaving my girl and mother behind," says Jackie not joking around as he didn't seem to know that he already died once.

"Anyway, what do we do once we meet up with Rogue and Nesiara?" asks V disregarding the conversation John and Jackie just had.

Jackie looked at her with his eyes wide-open not believing what he was hearing from V's mouth when John says, "Then you will make your way to Mikoshi with Rogue and her team while Nesiara deals with another matter. Grimoire, the Aldecaldos, and I will be waiting for you near Mikoshi opening a way for you."

"Sound simple enough," says V not feeling any fear since she already faced death and returned to tell the tale.

"Good, once Hanako calls for your assistance we will mobilize ourselves to strike at the same time," says John as he deleted everything from the screen not leaving a print in the net that Arasaka could ever find.

"I need to leave you now. Vik, we will see each other in a day or two," says John as he leaves having some matters to deal with.

He disappears into thin air and appears again on the moon. He was walking around the moon passing small houses in which people lived when he arrived at the house Rogue previously informed him of.

He knocks on the door and the person peeping behind the door was seeing the impossible since John was standing outside without a spacesuit on.

"I am John Crownguard, I know who you are Lucyna Kushinada. Can I come in and talk with you for a moment?" asks John knowing that she was behind the door when the speaker activated.

"What do you want? We aren't on earth any longer which makes me a free woman," says the woman behind the door.

"I need a small favor from you. In exchange, I will be bringing the person you care about the most back to life. What do you say?" says John with confidence when he felt hostility coming from behind the door.

"He would only be an engram," says the woman furious as John shakes his head.

"He wouldn't and I will make sure that his Cyberpsychosis doesn't act up ever again," says John trying to reassure the person behind the door.

"Are you a God or something like that?" asks the woman behind the door when John suddenly hears a child crying.

"Is it his son?" asks John curiously as the woman was caught off-guard by John.

"What if," says the woman thinking that John was trying to trick her.

"I need the help of someone that can pass through Arasaka's ICE and you are the best. Your reward will be David Martinez back from the dead. You just have to keep it a secret from my wife," says John since he hadn't asked Nesiara for her opinion on this matter.

"How can I trust you?" asks the woman when John only sighs.

"If we succeed you won't need to hide from Arasaka ever again and you will be paid handsomely making your actual retirement plan look like a joke with the one you will get from me," says John reassuring her that Arasaka would be history after they are done.

"I want to see him before I agree to it," says the woman behind the door as John sighs.

"Fine," says John as he puts his hand against the door and slips through it entering the house surprising the woman which has white hair and light purple eyes.

"I couldn't bring him back outside or he would have died before your very eyes," says John as he clones himself before grabbing the woman while saying to his clone, "Look after the baby."
