Nero was playing with Joy at the moment when a rift opened in the living room when Ava and Kalina went forward to protect him while Joy was growling at the portal.

Kalina was holding a shotgun with which she practices with when Nora and Mary take her to the shooting range since she needs some means to protect herself when they aren't around.

She pointed the shotgun at the rift when Vergil and Dante came out of it making both adults gave a sigh of relief from themselves as Kalina lowered the shotgun.

"Is everything alright?" asks Vergil seeing that Kalina pointed a shotgun at them.

"It isn't every day that a rift opens in the living room," says Kalina as normally they would use the front door to enter the warehouse and not the living room.

Nero rushed past Kalina and Ava as he jumped at his father while saying excitedly, "You are back."

"Of course, this was just a little trip between brothers. I would always return," says Vergil as he was holding his son in his arms letting go of his Yamato to hold him better.

"I had a weird dream in which you didn't return," says Nero as Vergil and Ava knew of those dreams since Nero tells them about them.

He began to have them when he was three making Vergil keep an eye on him more closely thinking it was a demon whispering into his ears while he was asleep but that wasn't the case and now with what John said before he knew that Nero was dreaming of the future that might never occur.

"Don't worry about your dreams. I will never leave your or your mother's side when I am needed most," says Vergil as Dante couldn't believe what he was hearing and seeing.

"Where is the brother I know. You know the one that wants to defeat me every time we fight each other," says Dante sarcastically about the situation when Trish and Nesiara came through the rift.

They saw that they were standing in the living room and Nesiara says, "This is new."

"That's what I said to those two as well," says Kalina as she looked at the woman beside Nesiara when she turned to Ava before she turned back to the woman.

"I didn't know you had a twin," says Kalina as Nesiara gave a chuckle from herself after hearing Kalina say that.

"They aren't related. She is a demon that just looks like Ava. Her name is Trish for now," says Nesiara as she presented Trish to them.

"For now?" asks Dante as Nesiara nods.

"I suggested to adopt her to John and he has nothing against it. So she could soon be named Trish Crownguard if she accepts to be adopted by us. She would also have many family members to talk to if she ever finds herself in trouble," says Nesiara as John was the last person to pass through the rift before it closed behind him.

He looks at everyone as he says, "Did something weird happen before I returned."

"Nesiara just told us that Trish might become your daughter," says Dante as John placed his hand on Dante's shoulder.

"I told you already. A man needs to compromises on some things and this is one of them," says John as he looked at Vergil and Nero which were quite close.

He then walked to the couch and sat down while saying, "It wouldn't be something new for our family to adopt a person into our family. Our first daughter was adopted by us. But maybe we should rather look towards the future."

"What do you mean?" asks Dante as he sits down as well.

"The future or better your future is quite funny for a person that doesn't take everything seriously to have an adopted daughter very soon even if you don't make it official," says John as Vergil almost dropped Nero after hearing that while Dante almost fell from the couch after hearing John say that.

"You can't be serious. He, being a father," says Vergil as he pointed at his younger brother while Dante did the same pointing at his face.

"Yeah, do I look like a person that can raise a child," says Dante insulting himself in the process of denying those facts John was telling them.

"You don't have to believe me if you don't want to but it will happen sooner or later. I want to see how she will change your life the same way my daughter changed mine," says John wanting to see the trouble Dante will be dragged into because of the girl.

He laughed just imagining it when Nesiara looks at him and asks, "Where is the John that normally says 'We shouldn't interfere with the timeline.'?"

"I think that I should warn him since soon his world will be turned upside down," says John as he stands up again and walks towards Nesiara and Trish.

"But maybe we should show our guest to her room. She will need a place to stay for a while even if she doesn't want to be our daughter," says John as he passed them.

He walked past Ava and Kalina making Nesiara smile as she grabbed Trish again while saying, "Let us show you your room for now."

They reached an empty room with white walls when Nesiara says, "You can decorate it to your liking and when you want to move out you can take all the things with you. But remember that you are always welcome to stay here when you need someone to talk to you."

"Thanks," says Trish as she looked at the room which seemed quite big for one person.

"You don't need to thank us. It is normal to help a person in need and you are quite new to this world. Try to adapt the next few weeks before you get out there to explore the world. It is big and it has many stories to tell," says John as Nesiara summoned a bed into the room.

"This should be your bed for today. Tomorrow we will go out and buy you the things you want to decorate this room on John's tap," says Nesiara pulling out a black credit card.

"Just don't buy the whole store," says John as he walked back to the living room finding Joy and Nero play again while Dante was holding his head because of the news John gave him before.

"I and a daughter, I can't believe that," says Dante still not believing it.

"Well, it seems that my baby brother will be a father pretty soon," says Vergil chuckling from imagining Dante as a father.

"Oh get over your shadow and embrace it. Having a child is the most marvelous thing that can happen to someone like you," says John as he walked towards one of the cabinets and he takes some glasses out and a bottle of elven liquor which they received from Legolas and Celine the last time they visited Middle-Earth.

John gives a glass to Dante, Vergil, and Ava since Kalina didn't drink before he opens the bottle and colorless liquor fluid came out of it.

Dante looked at it and was confused when he asks, "You sure this is alcohol? It looks a lot like water if you ask me."

"This is liquor is named Miruvor also called the Reviving Cordial. But this one is a bit special since it was made by a friend of my family. My daughter gave me one bottle as a gift the last time we visited. Normally it has a light yellow tone and it gives off a smooth fragrance from itself making it clear what it is," says John as it didn't give off any fragrance which Miruvor normally would give off.

Vergil takes a sip from it and he felt full of energy as if he didn't do anything the whole day when he says, "I feel full of energy and the taste is quite smooth as if it wasn't a liquor but juice."

"Doesn't it," says John knowing that already as he took a sip from his glass before Nesiara and Trish joined the group.

"I thought we were saving that bottle for when Nora and Mary are getting engaged," says Nesiara as two glasses came from the cabinet and landed on the table beside John.

He pours Miruvor into both glasses and hands them over to them. John then looks at his glass and smiles before he lifts it into the air.

"To Nora and Mary, let's hope that they bring back some incredible news tomorrow," says John as Trish couldn't follow what was going on when Nesiara looks at her.

"Nora could be your sister if you join our family since she is our daughter. Mary is Kalina's daughter...," says Nesiara as she explained everything to her while the rest lifted their glass up when Kalina walked towards the cabinet to get herself a glass.

She sat back down and she filled her glass with Miruvor before lifting her glass as well before Nesiara and Trish joined them and they say together, "To Mary and Nora, may they be blessed with a child."

They then begin to drink as this was quite a good occasion to drink something this good when John then fills the glasses again before lifting his glass into the air again.

"And for defeating Mundus and our new companion Trish. Let's hope she will find her way in this new world for her," says John as everyone cheers to that before drinking their glass empty.

"Are you going to stay today?" asks John to Dante who looks at the clock on the wall.

"I should get going. I will come tomorrow again to say goodbye to the others," says Dante as John smiles.

"You might think that you aren't capable of raising a child because of the fear of losing it to some demon that wants some vengeance against you or your father. But you can't let that fear hold you back. Just enjoy what you have while being prepared for every occasion," says John as he didn't think that Dante wouldn't be able to raise a child.

"I will see you tomorrow," says Dante as he leaves for his office to think about what John just said to him.
