Leaving Midgar

"Nice to see that you three are safe," says Aerith as she smiled that the three while standing beside Kieron.

"What happened here?" asks Cloud as he looked at the hole with curiosity when everyone looked at the man in blue armor.

Cloud didn't know it was John since he never saw him in armor as he looked at him suspiciously when John takes the helmet off making it obvious what happened here.

"I just grabbed it and slammed it against the ground before cutting it in two. But we should talk about this later," says John as he could feel people surrounding them outside the building.

"My father is right. Shinra has already surrounded the building. We should try to escape Midgar and reform ourselves," says Yui as everyone nods while she turned back into herself.

"There was a vehicle collection in the entrance hall, right? Let's get some of them and disappear," says Barret as Cloud and Tifa nod when suddenly the three siblings take their watches off.

"What are you doing?" asks Cloud confused when suddenly all three watched turned into cars while John and Nesiara took a motorcycle that was there.

"Just enter the cars we have later time to talk about it," says John as he started the bike when Nesiara summoned her armor and Queen.

"Let's go hunting," says Nesiara as she was excited.

Aerith jumped into Nora's red Aventador while Cloud and Tifa jumped into Yui's golden Gemera. Barrett and Red XIII had to jump into Kieron's R8 Kingsglaive edition because Barret was too big for the other two cars.

They press on the gas when they rush straight into a window that led directly to the streets when the troops see them and shoot against the car when a man in uniform with black hair and beard shouts, "Shoot at the tired idiots!"

The troops follow his order as they shoot at them but nothing happens only to see Nesiara break the glass of the building with Queen as the group passes through them as they feel the rush go through their veins.

They landed on the street and begin to drive near each other when John asks, "Which way to leave the city?"

"Just follow the road and we should get there soon enough," says Barret as John nods when Nesiara looks back.

"Company," says Nesiara as she suddenly was standing on the bike surprising the others by seeing her balance when she pointed Queen at the enemy while saying, "Burn for me"

Queen turned into a flamethrower as Nesiara pointed her at the tires of their enemy when suddenly a giant tank arrived again and Nesiara suddenly jumps while saying, "Kill everything in your way, Queen."

They looked at her confused only to see her spear suddenly surrounded by molten magma that burned the tires on the left side of the tank. The tank tried to shot at her only for her to jump and make a twist to evade the attack in the air while attacking the other tires on the right side before piercing Queen into the mainframe before jumping back onto the bike.

"Did you have fun?" asks John seeing that his wife was quite happy to finally swing her spear again when the spear turned back and another one came for them when John says, "He is mine."

He puts his hand on Yamato and jumps from the bike while Nesiara took control over it. Everyone was looking when John swang Yamato as he sheathed it again making everyone look at him confused when the tank began to split apart into little pieces making the four newcomers open their eyes wide while Aerith only smiled.

"You are not surprised Aerith?" asks Nora as she was driving.

"I have seen it before in the garden when John cuts the wood. He uses the same technique back then," says Aerith as she explained why she wasn't surprised.

John landed on the bike again as he was back to back with Nesiara when she shouts, "Switch!"

Making both switch positions making the others see how well they worked together as they were about to reach the end of the road that would lead out of Midgar when Helicopters were flying over them.

Nesiara changed Queen with her staff as she extended it and swung it taking them out of the air before retracting it while John asks, "We are almost out of Midgar where would be the best place to go for now?"

"Kalm is just east of here. We should go there and change our appearances before continuing running for now," says Barret out of the window when John and Nesiara nod.

"Then we have our next destination," says John as they drive east following the path.

They drive two hours in the darkness to see the town as a Tower was pointing out of it when John whispers, "We should be there."

"We should kill the engines before entering the town, don't you think so?" asks Nesiara as John nods and she gave hand signals to her children.

They understood and once outside the town the group shuts the engines down as John pushes now the bike while Nesiara walks beside him.

The others did the same just that the cars turned back into watches while the others were quite exhausted from today.

They entered the city and found an old man who John asks, "Where is the inn?"

"Just turn around. It's right behind you," says the old man as the group did so and entered the Inn.

"The old man didn't seem that friendly," says Aerith worried when Kieron puts his hand and her shoulder.

"Everyone has his problems," says Kieron as Aerith smiled at him.

They see the Innkeeper who was still awake and John says, "Can you give us 5 rooms for 9 persons."

Red XIII was looking at John as if he was saying 'You not counting me as a person.'

"That would be a thousand Gil. Breakfast will be served in the morning," says the Innkeeper as she places the keys on the counter.

John places the Gils on the counter as he takes the keys and gives Kieron, Barret, Nora, and Yui a key while saying, "Girls sleep with girls and boys with boys. We see each other tomorrow in the morning."

They all walk up as Barret entered his room with Cloud. Red XIII shared the room with Kieron. Nora was with Aerith while Yui and Tifa shared one together. Nesiara and John entered their room as they took their clothes off before laying in bed.

"Tomorrow we will have to buy clothes so we won't be recognized that fast," says John as he was already planning what to do tomorrow after breakfast.

"We will also need a map to find our way through Gaia," says Nesiara as John nods.

"Yes, but first we will have to change our transportation to something that doesn't draw to much attention," says John as they couldn't continue to use the cars and bike to continue their journey as long as they were on the eastern continent.

"How about Chocobos or monsters that could be tamed," says Nesiara suggesting it to John who yawns and hugs his wife.

"Good idea but let's keep talking tomorrow," says John as the bed was quite short for him with more than half of his legs looking out of it.

"Good night," says Nesiara as she let John embrace her.

The next morning they wake up and put their clothes on and go downstairs finding a different person behind the counter as he says, "Ah, you must be the clients that arrived last night. My co-worker told me about it. Breakfast will be served in an hour."

"Thank you," says Nesiara as she walks towards one of the tables and sits down with John who heard the chair he was sitting on creak.

"I really hate to be the big guy lately. Thank god we won't be in cities for a while," says John as he was nervous that the chair would break because of his weight.

They were having some small talk when Nesiara asks, "What happened to Corneo n the end? You said that you wanted to take care of it."

"He won't border any woman any longer," says John confident about it.

Flashback some hours before the infiltration

John was in the canalization of Sector 6 with a young man with silver hair that was wearing a black cap when John says, "So you want revenge. Why wait so long?"

"It wasn't easy," says the silver-haired man as John laughs.

"Everything is easy. Either you have the confidence to stand against it or you cower like a coward. If you wanted to put a bullet into Corneo's head you would have done it long ago, Leslie," says John as he was there because of another mission he took to help the people of Sector 7 that lost everything because of his selfishness.

"Not everyone is as strong as you, Monster Hunter," says Leslie back making John smile.

"No, but before I was this strong I had to prove to myself that I was something even without powers I fought people with powers just by outsmarting them," says John missing the old times in the lab.

"Anyway," says John as he turns to Leslie and continues, "You only got one shot. You either kill him and have your revenge or I will kill him. The world doesn't need someone like that."

They continue walking through the canalization as they encounter the last safe house John was looking for. He kills the Sahagins and their Prince quite easily taking the last jewel from it.

Then they continue on their journey when they arrive in a room that had many crates placed there. Leslie and John see Corneo and Leslie shouts something at him while John was concentrating on the surrounding since he picked up many living beings around them with the Force.

Suddenly monsters jumped out of the water and the giant pipes that were on the wall with a giant pork monster that didn't have horns any longer making John smile as he just used one hand and all stayed in the air while he swung Yamato once with his free hand before placing it back.

Then he let go and the monsters fell apart into little pieces while raining down upon the three standing there. Corneo wanted to run but didn't get far with John appearing in front of him.

"My son told you that we will meet again," says John as shivers run down Corneo's spine.

He shot at John who wasn't in armor only to see his bullets just fall to the ground after hitting John's torso.

Corneo was still pulling on the trigger but no bullet came out when John grabbed him by the collar and says, "Leslie, it's your turn."

Leslie looked at John scared too since he never saw something like this before. When Yui broke into Corneo's mansion he was blindsided so he didn't know what happened.

But now he was seeing it and it was scary even more so with John having blood all over him while holding Corneo in his hand.

"Either you do it or I," says John intimidating Leslie making him shot at Corneo.

John suddenly sees Corneo's brain coming out of the head in little pieces when he then throws Corneo's corpse to the ground and says, "Good Job. We should leave."

John sends a fireball at Corneo's corpse as it began to burn while he and a traumatized Leslie leave the canalization when John says, "Killing isn't really your thing."

John then gives Leslie the bullet that he caught before it hit Corneo making Leslie look at him while asking, "How...? Why...?"

He couldn't process it when John says, "You aren't a Killer, Leslie. Just live your life honestly and atone for what happened. You will find her sooner or later. People don't disappear like ghosts without leaving anything behind."

They part there while John takes the jewels he collected while staying in Midgar towards the playground that was beside the wall that split the Sectors 6 and 7.

He talked to Marle that his daughter mentioned and handed the jewels over while saying, "It's not much but it should help."

He didn't wait for a reply as he left because it was his fault that many lost their homes when the Plate fell.
