Infiltrating into the Shinra Building

"Do you think this will work?" asks Barret as he was with the group when Cloud nods.

"It should. We just have to be careful and everything will work out," says Cloud as he was the expert of the Shinra Building since he worked there before.

"Then we are only waiting for Kieron to hijack a transporter," says Tifa as Cloud nods when suddenly Kieron disguised as an Infantryman honks at them.

"Jump on the others already infiltrated the building," says Kieron as the others jump on the roof when he says, "You know the plan."

"Yes, stay up here until we are inside and you parked the transporter," says Tifa as Kieran smiles at them before driving towards the Shinra Building.

Once arriving at the parking lot, the Infantrymen made a short check-up as one says, "Pretty late today."

"The people seemed in a panic lately. I had to stop multiple times to reassure them that everything was alright," says Kieron as the man nods.

"I can understand the people. I'm also quite worried because my family lives in Sector 3. I had to reassure everyone at home that everything will be alright once we catch those terrorists," says the Infantryman as he looks at the others and asks, "Everything clean?"

"Yes," says one of the two other Infantrymen that were checking the transporter.

The Infantryman that was talking with him before hits the side of the door and says, "He is clean."

Then the barrier goes up and they let Kieron pass. He drives inside and parks the transporter without trouble when he gets out of the vehicle and begins to scout the area before returning.

"All clear," whispers Kieron as the group jumps from the roof of the car.

"It was finally time," says Barret as Kieron releases the jutsu turning back.

"Now then let's enter. Where are the others?" asks Cloud as he wanted to know that.

"My father and mother are already on the top floor with Yui and Nora right behind them. We should move fast to catch up to them," says Kieron as he was already moving towards the stairs leading up to the entrance hall of the building.

"It's far too quiet don't you think so?" asks Barret as the entrance hall was empty.

"Not really. The plate was destroyed and they gave us and Wutai the fault. They are preparing for the war and are showing military presence in the city to calm the people down. It standard Shinra protocol. The only thing is that the Infantrymen don't know the real truth behind everything," says Cloud as he walked towards the reception.

"How do you know that the Infantrymen don't know the truth behind everything. They tried to stop us from climbing the Pillar," says Barret angry as Cloud sighs.

"What would you do when someone tells you that the one climbing the Pillar wanted to blow it up. There is no time to think about if that's really his objective. You must try everything possible to stop the said person. You saw how worried the people are around here," says Cloud as he could get a glimpse of the Infantrymen that were controlling Kieron.

They were all stiff and nervous because of all those attacks when Barret asks, "How do you know so much about the Infantry? I thought you were a 1st Class SOLDIER."

"I'm not a SOLDIER, never was one from the beginning. Thanks to John I now know that I was an Infantryman that went to Nibelheim with two SOLDIERS. There I was experimented on and injected with the Mako," says Cloud as he looks at Tifa who seemed to piece something together.

"You dragged me out of the Reactor," says Tifa as she remembered seeing a shadow of Cloud.

"Yes, you and Zack after that I went after Sephiroth," says Cloud when Kieron interrupts them.

"We can talk about this after we have Aerith," says Kieron as he jumps up on the roof of the reception and enters it making a new ID-Card for them.

Then he jumps back out and says, "How do we go up running or with the lift?"

"We should walk it safer than taking the lift and getting a barrel pointed at you after the lift opens its doors," says Cloud as Barret gives Cloud a mean stare.

"How many floors do we have to go up?" asks Barret as they walked to the emergency stairs.

Once there he looked up and Cloud says, "Aerith is most likely on the 64th floor. The stairs only take us until the 59th floor."

"We should take the elevator," says Barret as Kieron suddenly packs him by his neck.

"He will meet you upstairs. Don't take to much time talking understood," says Kieron as he knew that Cloud and Tifa had things to talk about.

He takes off with Barret as he flew upwards until reaching the 59th-floor door and they pass it when Barret asks, "What do we do now?"

"We prepare everything that we need before they arrive and wait for them," says Kieron as they walked towards the reception of the 59th floor.

They wanted to get their card upgraded when they meet Yui and Nora.

"You took your time. Where are Cloud and Tifa?" says Nora as she wasn't seeing them.

"They are on their way. They need to talk about something important," says Kieron as he points at the seat beside the window.

Barret was looking out of the window when he wanted to say something when Kieron stops him and says, "Don't spout one of your Shinra is evil speeches now. We are in enemy territory and this could put Aerith in danger."

Barret closed his mouth angry but knew that Kieron was right when he asks, "What do you think about this problem?"

"That there are better solutions than just blow up several Reactors and risking people's lives," says Nora as she was still angry at Avalanche.

"Really what way?" asks Barret as he pushed his sunglasses up.

"Solar Energy for example," says Nora as she explained how that way of winning energy worked.

"Is there another way then just use the sun?" asks Barret as he was now curious about it when all three nod.

"Wind Energy, Hydropower, and many more. They are quite eco friendly and don't need Mako," says Yui as she was counting every possible way that was ecologically friendly to the planet.

"Really and all those work on your world," says Barret as he got some ideas thanks to them.

"Yes, but you will need time and money to build everything or you could wait until we are all done and maybe we can help you," says Kieron as Barret looked outside the window again.

"I can't leave my two friends alone after all and I promised to keep Aerith safe to Elmyra as she is looking after Marlene while we aren't around," says Barret as he then looked at them and says, "And you saved many people important to me so I still have a debt to repay with you."

The trio was smiling as Barret smiled as well when he hears Cloud say, "I never thought you would call me a friend."

"Don't let it grow to your head," says Barret as they stood up.

"You two settle everything?" asks Kieron as Cloud ignored him while Tifa smiled and gave him two thumbs up.

"We should get going," says Cloud as the group went through the glass door that opened to them.

"Now we only need to go through this boring tour," says Kieron as they entered the 60th floor.

"It's like a V.I. museum," says Nora as she walked through it and a voice was explaining everything to them.

"Yeah just that Shinra is almost worshipped in those halls," says Barret angry as he followed Nora like the others.

"See it as learning more about the enemy," says Kieron as they got stuck in a small corridor with displays as walls.

"Just how boring is this all," says Kieron as he was listening to everything while sighing.

"Suck it up. We still have three more floors before us," says Yui as she took the lead from Nora.

They listened to everything and advanced quite fast as they arrive at the last hurdle it seemed. They needed to enter a simulator and Kieron says, "Who also thinks this is a trap."

"It could be but they would have ambushed us in the corridor if they wanted to be effective against us," says Nora as she entered the simulator.

"Well let's enter then," says Tifa as she follows Nora with the others. Kieron was hesitating before entering.

The door closed behind him when he says, "I told you it was a trap."

"No, it normal for the simulator to close its door. It wants to take you somewhere else and with a hole in the room the visual effects wouldn't work quite well," says Cloud remembering that he had simulated battles in those simulators before.

Then the simulation began to talk about the Cetra and the Promised Land when suddenly the simulation overlapped with something else as a meteor was falling over Midgard destroying everything on its path.

Then the simulation ended and Barret says, "That was quite disturbing."

"I think someone tampered with the simulator before we entered," says Cloud as everyone nods knowing who it could be when Cloud says, "Sephiroth."

"Most likely but we should leave before they get suspicious about why we take so long," says Yui as she leaves the simulator and they find an old man waiting for them.

"You must be the guests that the other two mentioned," says the old man as the group looked confused at him when the old man says, "John and Nesiara mentioned that more people were coming. They are waiting on the 63rd floor for you."

"Really?" asks Kieron as the old man nods.

"Yes, or at least that's what they said before leaving after meeting the Major of Midgar," says the old man as he then walks towards the big doors and turns around while saying, "Will you please follow me. I will bring you to them since the Major is quite exhausted from all the talking with the other two."

The group then follows the old man as he brought them to Nesiara and John who were drinking something in the cafeteria on the 63rd floor.
