First Words and Steps

The months pass as everyone returned to their worlds. John and Nesiara were enjoying their time with the children and the friends that come and go once in a while

Their only worry was Kieron that really was a glutton when it came to absorbing weapons while Nora was calmer and obediently to what John and Nesiara were saying to her as if an adult was in her tiny body.

"So your babies are already one," says Asuna as she watched Kieron crawl on the floor while Nora was already walking with difficulties.

"Yes, but I still am worried," says Nesiara as the women of Alfheim were sitting around a table.

"And what is worrying you?" asks Lisbeth as she drank her tea.

"Nora is far too intelligent. She is quite shy but I heard her talk already with herself. I don't know if it's normal for a child of the Parker family since its something new in my family at least," says Nesiara as she sighs when she sees Nora look at her confused while tilting her head to the side.

"And sometimes she just behaves like a child her age like right now," says Nesiara as the women saw how cute Nora was behaving while Kieron crawled right behind her.

"But it seems we have a new friend with us today," says Nesiara as he looked at the blue-haired Cait Sith sitting with them.

"My name is Asada Shino, but everyone just calls me Sinon," says Sinon as she entered the game some days ago.

She heard rumors about Nesiara and John being NPCs as well as their family since many streamers were streaming the wedding cementing it that the Sword God and Spear Goddess are a match made in heaven.

"Welcome then if you are a friend of Asuna you are also a friend of mine," says Nesiara as she drank from her cup.

"She is more of a friend of Kirito aren't I right," says Lisbeth with an undertone that made Sinon blush while the others were smiling.

"Don't worry at least everyone in this room except for me and Nora wants something from Kirito," says Nesiara as everyone else started to blush in the room while she giggled seeing them.

"Where is Yui by the way?" asks Asuna since she couldn't find Yui running around the house.

"She is out with Yuuki while John sent a clone to watch their back," says Nesiara when suddenly Asuna was forcefully logged out.

"What do you think happened?" asks Silica worried.

"It must be her mother. Last time it happened too," says Lisbeth as she explained that they were talking about smithing a sword when she suddenly was forced out of the game.

"That's quite dangerous isn't it being ripped out of the AmuSphere," says John as he enters the living room completely soaked up in sweat while his upper body was exposed.

He walked into the kitchen as he takes a water bottle out to drink it while the girls were staring at him. Nora followed John slowly while Kieron was faster than her as he crawled towards him and even crawled his leg up.

John puts the empty bottle away as he picks Nora and Kieron up and says, "Who is the best dad in the world?"

As Kieron just raised his arms in excitement while Nora just tries to hug John as good as possible because her arms are too short to grab around John.

He walks while carrying them until he put them down in the living room with the women before returning to the smithery.

"I knew that he started to smith things but how can he have that many muscles have you seen his abdomen," says Lisbeth as she couldn't believe how the muscles were all shaped to perfection.

"He is taken, woman. You can look but not touch," says Nesiara as she was quite proud that her man was complimented when she asks, "When are you going to present us to your new friend you made?"

"That will take some more time," says Lisbeth shy as they continued to talk about there daily life while Nora left the room without them noticing.

Nora was slowly walking in the direction John left. She arrives at the smithery and finds John hammering some steel into plates to make armors later on for the twins.

Nora could see some of the failures beside smithery as she enters the room seeing her father completely concentrated in hammering the plate to the best steel possible before making an armor out of it.

Nora walks slowly towards John when she trips and was falling to the ground when a hand catches her and John says, "Now what is my little princess here and not with Mama."

John then drops the hammer and takes the plate out of the fire as he then takes Nora in his hands before making the third arm disappear.

"You know it's dangerous for a little girl like you to come into the smithery and spy on your dad. What if something happened to you," says John peacefully as Nora looked dejected when he continues, "We know that you are more intelligent than you believe we know, Nora. But you are still small and can't walk normally so be a good child and don't overdo it."

"Yes, Dad," says Nora slowly almost not understandable as John suddenly got pumped.

"Can you say that again but when we are in front of your mom," says John as he was shining.

"No," says Nora as John became dejected hearing that when he smiled again.

"At least I have Justice to record everything so you don't have to repeat it," says John as he carried Nora into the living room again as he leaves her there and says, "Behave."

Before returning to the smithery while sending Justice over to Nesiara to show her what Nora said to him.

Nesiara and the others saw that. She got quite jealous as well as angry of John when she picks Nora up and says, "Come on my little princess say 'Mama'."

Nora was now in a pinch since Nesiara wouldn't let her go until she said it even if she struggled while the others were waiting with expectations when Nora says almost not understandable, "Mama. Down please."

"Alright my little princess," says Nesiara as she kissed her cheeks while putting her down happy while Kieron wanted a kiss too.

Nesiara picked him up and kissed him too and let him on her lap when Asuna returned all of a sudden again and asks, "What did I miss?"

"The first words Nora ever told in front of people," says Silica as she wanted to carry Nora when suddenly Pina flew over to Nora's side as Nora was playing with Pina as if it wasn't a dragon but a dog.

"I think your daughter would be talented to become Beast Tamer if it can play with Pina like that," says Silica as she was seeing the spectacle in front of their eyes.

"Let's wait until she gets older. Also, Kieron seemed to have his urges under control normally he would have already tried to absorb our weapons," says Lisbeth as she lost many swords to the little glutton that was sitting on the lap of Nesiara.

"He can control his urges now. As if he knows the quality of the weapon he sees with one glance at them. He noticed that you only bring some scraps that you made before and not the high-quality weapons you used to bring to those meetings," says Nesiara as Kieron raised his hands in agreement looking quite cute doing so.

"Well can't have the little glutton take all of my masterpieces. Does he absorb all of John's creations?" asks Lisbeth as Nesiara was thinking.

"Some of them," says Nesiara as Kieron nods cutely and suddenly stands up for the first time with the help of the table as everyone was suddenly surprised to see him stand.

"His excitement must have made it possible it seems," says Nesiara as Kieron wasn't really walking but was balancing himself on Nesiara's thighs while looking at the weapons everyone was carrying seeing that no one had one he sat down again when Nesiara says, "Do you want to join your sister."

Kieron nods as he pointed at Nora signalizing that he wanted to join her and Pina. Nesiara then puts him back down as they continued their little meeting.

But like Nora, Kieron had his own plan and began to crawl towards where his father would be. He knew that John was hiding the good stuff away from him leaving only the decent and failures in the house.

He arrives at the smithery and sees only scraps lying around as he sees John hammering on a steel plate that was taking slowly shape making him sit at the entrance since John always scolded him when he entered the smithery.

He sat there for a while watching his father finish the masterpiece of armor that was crimson with a hind of black on it and had a horn at the shoulder guards sticking out it was quite bulky and resembled a bit John's own armor.

He continued making the arm guards and leg guards for it as he hears some clapping coming from behind and turns around seeing the little glutton outside the room clapping his hands in excitement.

John puts the armor to the side as it was almost completed and picks his son up while saying, "That armor will be yours once you grow up but until then you will have to wait understood. I already finished your sister's armor. So keep it a secret understood."

Kieron nods as if he was understanding making John smile as he walks with him back into the living room and says, "It seems the children are more interested in the smithery than in staying in the living room."

"It's because they are curious about what their father is doing," says Nesiara as John puts Kieron down who suddenly stood on his feet again and made his firsts steps in front of everyone walking with difficulties towards her older sister just to fall on his ass when he arrived.

He began to watch Nora play with Pina while John returned to complete the armor. The women leave when Yui returned home from her adventure.

Asuna was about to leave when she asks Nesiara, "Can I come again tomorrow with a friend of mine? I want her to introduce her to the gaming world and seeing you and your family might help her understand why I like playing this game so much."

"You mean your mother right?" asks Nesiara as Asuna nods and Nesiara says, "Of course, just be prepared since it will be a long day."

Asuna smiles as she leaves and John who heard everything says, "Indeed tomorrow will be a long day. Kirito will be joining us after all. Meeting your in-laws over a game will be quite fun."

"It won't be this bad right," says Nesiara as she remembered meeting her in-laws wasn't that bad.

"I hope so now the two seem to be sleepy after their little adventures into the smithy today," says John as he was holding both sleepy heads in his arms.

While Yui was quite happy to have made friends with every one of the Sleeping Knights and that John and Nesiara praised her for clearing the 30th floor of New Aincrad.

From there they had a little dinner as a family after they put the twins into bed and after dinner, they themselves went to sleep.
