Corel Prison

They landed and found themselves in a place worse than North Corel as John asks, "Is everyone alright?"

Everyone nods except for Barret that looked as he saw a ghost when Nesiara asks, "Are you alright Barret? You look like you saw a ghost."

"It because I saw one," says Barret as he thought that he was hallucinating from all the training thinking that John was right they needed to take breaks once in a while.

"Who did you see?" asks John worried now about Barret knowing that it might be Dyne who he saw in the Battle Square.

"An old friend of mine. I only have this mini-gun to remind me of him since I lost my hand while holding on to him before. Shinra shot my hand off while he was hanging from a cliff. It's impossible that he is still alive," says Barret as he was holding his head trying to sort everything out.

"Maybe you should rest and collect yourself," says John as he looked at their newest member and asks, "And you are?"

"Cait Sith, I am a fortune-teller. I asked Cloud to take me with him since I wanted to help you against Sephiroth and Shinra," says Cait Sith as John smiled at him not buying anything knowing that Reeves was behind that adorable speaking cat.

"You trust him?" asks John looking at Cloud who nods and John turns towards Cait Sith as he says, "I hope you don't betray the person that is trusting you."

"We can worry about that once we are out of here," says Yuffie as she created a ki ball in her hand wanting to blast the wall away with it when John catches it.

"Yuffie, I told you before. Power isn't the only way to solve everything. If we were to break out of here using that method we would say it was us," says John as he extincted the ki in his hand while Cait Sith was surprised by what he was seeing.

"But they labeled us as criminals," says Yuffie angry.

"Then show them that you aren't by showing patients. That way we can clean our names," says John as Yuffie's cheek began to blow up with air before sighing.

"And how do we do that?" asks Yuffie as Nesiara smiled seeing Yuffie's behavior.

"Simple we find the person that did it," says Nesiara as they looked around and Nesiara says, "But first let us take care of the scum that is trying to ambush us."

Yuffie was about to use a ki ball again when John stops her and says, "No Ki Ball. Use your Shuriken."

Yuffie takes her shuriken from her back while the others were already ready to intercept the enemy when a group of people attacks them.

Cloud was beside Tifa and Yui fighting the people coming from 9 o'clock. Nora and Red XIII were taking care of 12 o'clock while Yuffie, John, and Nesiara took care of the people at 6 o'clock. Kieron with Aerith and Cait Sith were taking the last side.

Barret was holding his head trying to collect himself before joining Nora and Red XIII once he was clear-headed as they were fighting off the people that were in Prison with them.

This was quite a fast fight while Aerith was sad about what she needed to do since she really hated to take someone's life even that of a monster but there was no way out for them but to kill them.

Kieron was cheering her up as the group looked around when John says, "It seems you are back to normal."

"Yes, and I know that it wasn't a hallucination. Dyne is still alive," says Barret with confidence as the group looked at him confused waiting for an explanation on who Dyne was.

"Dyne is... was my best friend. He is also the biological father of Marlene. I thought he died back then when Shinra burned Corel down as retaliation for what AVALANCHE did before I took it over," says Barret as Tifa and Cloud opened their eyes wide.

"I knew it. She was far too beautiful to be your daughter," says Cloud as Barret smiles pathetically.

"That's right. But that doesn't change that I love Marlene as my own daughter. She doesn't even remember who her parents are because she was too young when Shinra attacked Corel," says Barret as he was going in deeper into what really happened in Corel and not what he told them in Costa del Sol.

"We lost everything that day as Marlene lost her parent and I lost my wife. That's why I recreated AVALANCHE in reality it wasn't only to save the planet but also because of revenge for what they did to us," says Barret as his face showed how angry he was.

"You think that Dyne would do that?" asks Nesiara as Barret nods.

"Yes, he was the one against the reactor back then. If he survived the fall he made have also made some upgrades as I did," says Barret holding his mini-gun.

"Then we know our objective. Now we need to find him," says Cloud as he walked in front with Tifa and Yui.

"We should split up and search for him. When someone finds him send a signal," says Nesiara as the children understood which signal to send.

"Which signal?" asks Red XIII as John petted him making him fume again.

"You will see it quite well," says John confusing the group member that didn't see the signal before.

"It's like a firework," says Aerith as she saw it before in the garden in the middle of the night when they were celebrating.

"Alright," says Cloud as he could have imagined that himself.

They begin to move in separate directions to find that Dyne Barret was talking about. John and Nesiara were watching Yuffie as she seemed to be too reliant on ki after obtaining it.

"It seems we need to drill into her mind and body that ki isn't some sort of toy," whispers John to Nesiara who smiled at him.

"She reminds me of someone we met in Aincrad," whispers Nesiara back as the only person that could use ki there was Gabriel making John feel shivers all over again.

"She can't become a second one. You remember our marriage when he wanted to have a revanche against us for what happened in Aincrad if not for Logan and Jack the wedding would have been crushed," says John just remembering Gabriel.

"Well work hard then," says Nesiara with a smile as John rushed over towards Yuffie to lecture her about her new gained power as if he was her father.

In the meantime, Kieron and Aerith with Cait Sith were walking around looking for that Dyne or an exited when Cait Sith asks, "Who are you two by the way?"

"Right we never were presented to each other. This is Kieron and I'm Aerith. Nice to meet you, Cait Sith," says Aerith as she welcomed their newest member warmly.

"Nice to meet you too. But why could Kieron and the others fly?" asks Cait Sith curious about that.

"You will find out about it sooner or later so why not tell you," says Kieron as he didn't know that Cait Sith was a spy.

"We use Ki to fly. You saw Yuffie create a ball in her hand before right," says Kieron as Cait Sith nods and he continues, "That was Ki. Just a little bit of it can be destructive that's why my father stopped Yuffie to use it against the wall."

"To be honest even a punch of hers would have done the trick. The walls are quite thin," says Kieron as hit the wall making a hole in it before saying, "See it's quite easy for us to escape but it's more important to clean our names."

Cait Sith was surprised to see the hole in the wall since the wall wasn't really thin. The Walls had at least 0,5m of reinforced steel holding the prisoners inside.

The next group was Cloud's as they walked through the prison fighting prisoners when Cloud says, "Why is it important to clean our names? We are already chased by Shinra."

"Shinra isn't the world. If we have a good name many doors can open to us since they don't see a criminal but someone chased by Shinra, and Shinra made many enemies," says Yui as they were done with the group of prisoners.

"Still I see no purpose since Shinra control almost everything," says Cloud while Tifa shakes her head.

"The Western Continent might let Shinra do what they want. But they still control their respective parts," says Tifa knowing full well that tolerating isn't submitting.

"Then let's find this Dyne and get this over with," says Cloud as he walked in front of both again.

The last group led by Nora was having the most success as they found the person Barret was talking about. While Barret was talking with Dyne a man with short black hair that had a gun arm like Barret just that he had only a long barrel while Barret's had three short ones.

Barret was talking to Dyne about Marlene being alive and everything that happened while Nora had her hands behind her back as she was sending a ki ball into the ground.

She navigated it through it when Dyne begins to laugh like a maniac and says, "Is she her. If yes, I will reunite her with her mother so she won't suffer as I do."

Hearing that Barret pointed his mini-gun at Dyne while saying, "I can't let you do that."

"Why not? You killed my wife, your wife. Hell you massacred a whole town because of your decision," says Dyne angry as his eyes turned red when Nora moves her index and middle finger to point into the sky behind her back.

Suddenly the ki ball comes through the ground right under Dyne's position making the ball hit him stride into the head making Dyne fall from the pain.

Dyne wasn't moving and Barret turns to Nora and asks angrily, "Did you kill him?"

"No, I just knocked him out," says Nora as the ki ball returned into her hand and she throws it into the sky to inform everyone of their position.
