The Uneven Teams

The Uneven Teams

Kai and Zach turned to look behind them, expecting to see a formidable team of adventurers. But their hearts sank as they saw only 10 D-rank adventurers trailing behind them.

"Whoa, that's not a lot of people," Zach said, his voice laced with concern. "I thought we were going to have a bigger team."

Kai's eyes widened as he looked at the other groups. Derek's group had a B-rank adventurer, plus 10 C-rank adventurers. Scarlett's group had a mix of 25 D and C-rank adventurers. But Ace's group, the one they were in, had only 5 D-rank adventurers.

"G, is Ace going to be okay with only 5 D-rank adventurers?" Kai asked, his voice low with worry. "I mean, we're going up against some pretty tough monsters."

G chuckled. "You don't need to worry about that, monster. Ace is the strongest of our group. He can handle himself."

Kai raised an eyebrow. "But what about the rest of us? We're not exactly the strongest adventurers out there."

G smiled. "That's true, but we have something that the other groups don't: teamwork. We work together, we watch each other's backs, and we get the job done."

Zach nodded. "Yeah, and we have G's beast taming skills. That's a huge advantage right there."

Kai smiled, feeling a bit better. "Yeah, you're right. Let's do this!"

Just then, Ace called out, "Team, move on! We have our tasks to complete!"

The groups began to move out, each one heading towards their designated areas. Kai and Zach exchanged a nervous glance, but G just smiled and nodded.

"Don't worry, we've got this. Let's go!" G said, leading the way.

As they walked, Kai couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. They were heading into dangerous territory, and they were doing it with a relatively weak team. But he pushed the thoughts aside and focused on the task at hand. They had a mission to complete, and they were going to do it no matter what.

With that, they set off towards their destination, ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead.
