Chapter 4: "Brothers' Pact"

Kai and Zac ascended to their room, their minds buzzing with thoughts and questions. As they sat on their beds, Zac turned to Kai with a determined look.

"We need to figure out our next move, Kai. We can't stay here forever."

Kai nodded, his eyes gazing into the distance. "I know. But we need a plan. We can't just wander into the unknown."

Zac pulled out a small map Sophia had given them, spreading it on the bed. "Let's start with this. We have the location of the nearest city, Eldrid. Maybe we can find answers there."

Kai studied the map, his finger tracing the path. "It's a few days' journey. We'll need supplies and gear."

Zac's eyes sparkled with determination. "We'll get them. We'll make a list and ask Sophia for help."

As they pored over the map, their conversation flowed easily, their bond strengthened by their shared uncertainty. They made a pact to rely on each other, to face the unknown together.
