Ren was lying on the training ground looking at his stats once again, although all of his stats were almost imprinted in his mind, looking at his stats felt like a therapeutic experience.

"Ren-kun, come on! You promised we would go on a fancy dinner if I managed to keep up with your sadistic routine for a month. It's been two, now it's time to keep your promise." Ino was sprawled on the ground just a few steps away from him.

"I promised nothing," Ren replied as he turned his head to look at her, the difference between 2 months of training was apparent in Ino's thin frame. She still was lean, but now had some muscle definition on her. He looked into her pale blue eyes for a bit keeping all emotions out of his face.

"I'm not going to Choji's birthday party" Ren spoke and turned back to look at the dyed sky.

"Please, and how do you even know about that, Choji didn't invite anyone except Shimkamaru and me?" Ino pouted as she sat up.

"I'm a shinobi...in training" Ren added as he stood up, stretched, and leaned slightly hearing the satisfying cracks from his back.

"Come on it will be fun, none of the annoying people from the academy will be there..." Ino persuaded again, Ren gave her a deadpan look and she pulled up her teary-eyed face.

"You're annoying" Ren huffed as the blond whopped, knowing that she won the battle she happily hopped up and spoke, "Alright I'll go and get ready, Meet me outside the academy in 1 hour!" She yelled as she ran away.

'Sometimes I wanna know what goes on in her head,' Ren thought before he shook his head. He sighed another trouble was unceremoniously added to his roster. He stretched a couple more times before he started walking back towards the village. He could feel his muscle strain as he walked the beaten path, the resistance seal has done wonders for his physical stats in the past month.

The resistant seals worked a little differently than the leg weights he was using before. As he moved he could feel that his every movement was a little strained. It was like his body was experiencing a heavier gravity, but instead, it affected his every action no matter which direction he wanted to move.

'Moving through water would be the most appropriate description, except it isn't completely like moving through the water. The higher the speed in the water, more the resistance someone would face, while under the influence of resistance seal, there is a constant resistance to any kind of movement.'

Ren opened his skills tab to look at the description once again.

'The seal looks like it was perfectly designed for my powers, since my muscles heal every night I go to sleep I haven't needed to deactivate the seals due to danger of injury.'

To be on the safe side though, Ren does deactivate the seal every night before sleeping. The only thing that annoys him is the high cost of the seal, since his chakra control was at 50%, he had to use 200 out of his 280 Chakra every day to activate this seal. So after he activates this seal every morning, he is just left with enough chakra to perform the basic ninjutsu.

'It's not like I know a lot of Ninjutsu...'

It was another reason he had been thinking about the spy and the bounty mission as of late, in addition to the monetary reasons. He remembers that one of the things he could get by completing the bounty mission was skill scrolls as drops. While he didn't care about the spies sneaking around Konoha, truthfully he felt a little guilty about not reporting it to his higher-ups.

He couldn't bring himself to take that final step, he had a plan now that his {observe} skill was at a high enough level that he could at least see the stats of a normal chunin.

Ren looked at the 6500 Ryo he had for a moment, to buy a good enough Kimono to go to this clan gathering he probably wouldn't be able to buy anything good enough to look presentable.

'But to take a life...'

Ren stood pensively before he shook himself out of his thoughts as he walked back home. The streets of Konoha were filled with laughter like always, children were playing, and running after each other while the elders looked at them with fond expressions. In the shining picture of pureness, the dark red name floating above a middle-aged man still stood out to Ren.

Ren looked away from Nakai after using {observe} on him. It took him several moments to digest the information as he looked through Nakai's stats.

'He isn't overly strong, most likely a newly promoted chunin. The only chunin that I have seen who had lower stats than him was a kunoichi from the Kurama clan, and they are known for being born with weaker bodies.'

A sense of pride filled him as he realized that his physical standard had already reached low chunin level standards, but most chunin that he had observed still had above 50 points in each stat.

'Still, what's up with Otogakure, we weren't taught about it in the academy, I should go to the library to check later...'

AN- What do you think, an Oto spy in Konoha makes sense considering Orochimaru's plan to attack Konoha in almost a year from now!
