They all stretched out their hands, prepared to reduce the professor and student duo to ashes.
The professor clenched his sword tightly as a feeling of unwillingness rose inside him, that wasn't the only thing that was rising though; his blood surged as well but he forced himself from spitting it out. Showing such weakness would not be helpful in this situation.
He turned to look at the student hiding behind him. The young girl was terrified as she covered her ears with her palms, her arms trembling.
Mixture of terror, anger, fear, and hate boiled inside the professor as his eyes suddenly lit up with a crazy light and a burst of deranged laughter espaced his lungs.
The dark mages stopped their actions as they stared at the professor in confusion, his sudden laughter left them confused as they could not phantom why someone in his situation should be laughing; did their action look funny to him or was this the case of one going mad at death doors?
