Conner Village

Luke and Lucy were making their way to the west. Naturally, the safest place even during the war was the capital, however, security there was too tight, and many of the players would, be inconvenienced to remove all their weapons before entering.

Therefore, to build his base, Luke was moving towards a special location.

He would build his base at Westernmost village in the Leon kingdom, which had taken over most of the south and west of the continent, nearly 1/3rd of the entire continent itself.

Being the edge of the continent meant that it was a coastal village, and would have sandy beached and steep cliffs into the ocean.

And this was the location Luke had decided for his home and base. His reason? Simple! This was the place where the rest of Asia would connect with the Gamin continent. Naturally, Russia and a few others would connect to the north-East, thus forming a larger continent, which the Game producers lazily names the Ferdin continent, with Gamin as the centre-piece, holding the north-east and west together.

And the weirdest part was that each of the side continents which made up Ferdin, were only connected to Gamin with an extremely thin lang connection spanning not more than 5 km wide. And the Western-Ferdin, which consisted of all Western and Eastern Asian countries, connected to Gamin from this point on the map.

And that was why, Luke was building his based here, at the meeting point of two halves of the largest continent in-game.

Furthermore, there was an even greater reason for this. The magician used special magic, by burning his own life-force to pull together all the continents.

This meant that the meeting points of continents would have special disturbances making the strength of the space-time fabric rather weak in such places. Similar to how a person's joints are weaker than the rest of their bones.

And only in such places could the first prototypes of the dimensional gates, a.k.a. the planer gates be built. Naturally, the following versions got better technology and magic knowledge, and gates were able to be built anywhere.

But being based in such a place would give him an absolute advantage for a whole Version!

Furthermore, there was an even greater reason. The fact of whether or not he could live, and survive up till those versions was still a matter to be considered. Therefore, Luke intended on living his life to the fullest while he could, and not madly focus on only levelling and making magic arrays, and new spells from his exp-hole. He would also try and find joy in the small things in life.

A method of distraction if you will, to distract Luke from his inevitable death.

The journey took quite some time, since Both Luke and Lucy needed to take rest, and the duo stopped along the way at a few towns, trying their best to avoid the notice of MI9 members, and other third-wheelers.

Nearly a week later, the duo finally arrived outside the village they intended to build their base at.

Luke had already visited the Baron in charge of this territory, and bought out the village, and 10 km in any direction of the village using 18 coins.

Although MI9 held the executive power, and the council of 12 held all the real power, the face of Leon was still the king and his nobles, who owned the rights to the land.

Naturally, Luke 'persuaded' the Baron to give him the land slightly below market price of 100 gold, and thereby got the deed of the land.

Now, he had finally arrived at his land.

"Alright! Let's get down to business!" Luke said as he gently patted Lucy awake, who yawned and stretched like a cat for a while before finally waking up.

"We have reached Lucy! This is the Village of Whateveritwascalledbefore, now renamed as 'Conner Village'!" [1]

[1] For people who did not know, in case I forgot to mention it before, Luke's name is Luke Conner, and Lucas' name is Lucas Ferland. Lucas is the original owner of the body, while Luke is our Sage from the future. Thanks!
