As James walked through the bustling streets of the capital city of the magic world, he couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. It had been a few years since he had become the supreme being of this world, and he had thought that he had left all his troubles behind in his old world. But it seemed that fate had other plans for him.
As he was lost in his thoughts, he heard a commotion coming from a nearby alleyway. He quickly made his way towards it, only to find a group of thugs harassing a young girl. Without hesitation, he stepped forward and asked them to leave her alone.
The thugs, however, were not intimidated by his presence and instead, turned their attention towards him. James knew that he could easily defeat them, but he didn't want to cause a scene in the middle of the city.
As he was about to make his move, he heard a voice calling out to him from behind. Turning around, he saw a hooded figure standing a few feet away from him.
"James, we need to talk," the figure said, and without waiting for a response, disappeared into the shadows.
James knew that he had to follow the figure if he wanted to get to the bottom of this. He quickly made his way through the alleys, following the figure's trail.
Finally, he reached a deserted part of the city where the figure was waiting for him. As he approached, the figure revealed its face to him, and James was shocked to see that it was his old friend, Paul.
"What are you doing here, Paul?" James asked, still unable to believe his eyes.
"I'm here to warn you, James," Paul said, his face serious. "There's a new threat in this world, one that even you may not be able to handle."
"What kind of threat?" James asked, his curiosity piqued.
"It's a group of powerful mages, who have been gathering strength for years now," Paul explained. "They call themselves the Dark Council, and they're planning to take over this world."
James knew that he couldn't let this happen. He had a duty to protect the people of this world, just as he had in his old world. With a determined look on his face, he thanked Paul for the warning and set out to gather his allies and prepare for the coming battle.
