2 Weeks Later-
Harper's POV:
I've been out all day with Eliza, everything's been back to normal so far. Oliver and I are better than ever, Elliot went back to California where he'll be safe, and everyone else has been getting by just fine. Tonight we have a ball to attend to. Since the Franklin's are one of the most respected families in Chicago they're basically obligated to go. I'm tagging along so I'm not sitting at home on a Saturday night all by myself, and to keep an eye on Oliver. There will be lots of alcohol at this party and when Ollie's drunk he gets murderous. Eliza and I have been trying to find the perfect dresses. It's a ball so we have to look like a million bucks! Eliza picked out a dark purple tight dress. It looks beautiful on her. It took me quite awhile to find the perfect one, but eventually I did. I chose a dark blue dress with a long, slim cut to show some cleavage; the two inch wide straps are designed to look like flowers, and the top of the dress has a tiny bit of a silver sparkle to make it shine. The dress is pretty big, (puffy) but it looks so much better. I'm so excited to show Ollie, I think he'll love it!
Oliver's POV:
Michael and I have been bored out of our minds waiting for the girls to get back from shopping. They've been out nearly the entire day! "When do you think they'll be back?" Michael asked. Before I could answer I heard Harper yell, "No need to worry...we're back!" I smiled and walked over to Harper. I gave her a quick kiss, helped her with their bags, and said, "How was shopping?" Harper have a me a weird smiled and replied, "Why don't I show you!" I chased after her when she started running upstairs with her dress. By the time I got into our room she had already locked the bathroom door. After nearly ten minutes she poked her head out and asked, "You wanna see my dress?" I smiled and nodded as she slowly opened the door, revealing her gorgeous gown. The silky blue fabric bounced off her skin beautifully. "You look stunning, darling!" Harper blushed and replied, "Thank you. I'm gonna change back into some actual clothes before the party tonight!" Once Harper was done she popped out of the bathroom in sweatpants and a t-shirt with her hair falling down her shoulders. She walked over to me with a smile and crawled on top of my lap with her arms wrapped around my neck and said, "I can't wait for the party, I've never been to a ball!" I widened my eyes in shock and said, "Really? Never?" Harper shook her head so I continued, "Well don't worry about it, I won't let you do anything stupid!" Harper giggled and replied, "Uh-huh, sure. I'm the one who needs to be watched! You get drunk and like to be reckless!" I smirked and shrugged my shoulders. She giggled. I stared deeply into Harpers eyes and said, "God...I'm so in love with you!" Harper blushed and replied, "I love hearing that. Nothing could make me happier!" I raised my eyebrows and said, "I could maybe think of one..."
Harper's POV:
As Oliver said that I immediately became curious. I looked at him in suspicion as he pulled out a little black velvet box. My eyes widened in fear and confusion. Ollie noticed and laughed as he said, "Relax, it's not what you think it is!" I exhaled dramatically as he opened it and continued, "Earlier today I was going through the things my family has collected and kept over the past two thousand years and I found this. It belonged to a very important person in my life. Her name is Bianca Rosewood. She was the only person I trusted for a very long time, a vampire of course. And my best friend. I haven't seen her in nearly three centuries! This was hers, she told me to keep it and one day when I found a woman that I love very deeply I should give this to them. According to her it was a very romantic piece of jewelry in the 1600's. Quite the antique, and I want you to have it!" I smiled very emotionally and turned around so he could put it on me. He clipped it around my neck and I took a long look at it in the mirror. The deep red jewel in the center of a pure silver base with diamonds surrounding it. It was by far the most gorgeous thing I'd ever layed eyes on! "Can I wear it to the party tonight?" I asked Oliver. He laughed and said, "Of course you can! It's yours now, and I think that it looks good on you." I smiled and sat on our bed. I became curious so I asked, "Can you tell me more about Bianca? She sounded like a true friend to you and I'd love to hear about her!" Ollie nodded and said, "Bianca is an amazing person! She pulled me out of a very dark period in my life over a thousand years ago. She spent about everyday waking second trying to help me and get my humanity back on. Once I did we became closer, she'd hang around my family, travel everywhere with us, and keep me from going off the deep end! Everyone else thought it was annoying having Bianca around so much but it never really bothered me. She's like a sister to me. Aside from you, she's the only person I truly trust!" I thought for a moment and said, "Not to risk sounding like a jealous girlfriend, just out of curiosity, how many times did you two hook up over the years?" Ollie laughed as if I just said the funniest joke in the world. Once he caught his breath he said, "Oh God no! Bianca and I never did any of that, we were strictly best friends! Nothing more, ever!" I smiled and replied, "So... when do I get to meet her?"
