Chapter 30: Greetings

Ray and his friends are in infirmary now but Ray is being placed in a separate room. The healers are trying their best to heal Ray's friends especially Ryo who has received a lot of damage after using his transformation skill. Zed is suffering from the broken ribs after confronting the rampaging Ray, Bell only had minor injuries because Zed is always protecting him from Ray.

Ray slowly awake, He opens his eyes slowly and he notice someone is sitting beside him. His vision is blurry, But after a few seconds his vision finally back to normal. He immediately ask the person who is sitting beside him.

"Who are you?"

"I'm Gravs the king of Dwarf"

"Oh I see, Forgive me your highness"

"Tch, Don't be so formal you're also the king candidate"

"Ah hahaha, Really?"

"I know you're the one who is using the king's aura back then"

Ray can't deny anything. He admit he has the potential to become a king but his goals is not to become the king but he want to become the strongest being. Gravs eyes widen, This is the first time someone didn't want to become a king. Gravs immediately change the topic and ask Ray about the regeneration ability and Ray without hesitation start to explain his past and the power that he had right now.

"Oh my, Must be hard for you kid sorry for asking you"

"It's okay, This must be my destiny"

"I see, I will pray for your journey then but for now just stay here for a while and let's give the old man a proper burial. Tonight we will hold the burial for the old man"

"Ah I see, I will keep that in mind"

Ray visit his friends in another room, They're stable for now but Ray is wandering what is actually happen to Zed and Bell the only thing that he remember was he defeat the Elf bandit leader and become mentally unstable. After that he doesn't remember a thing,

"It seems you doesn't anything I guess"

"Tezz what happen to them?"

"You attack them"

"What! Me?"

"Yes"

Tezz starts to explain why Ray attack his friend, It's a powerful skill but the downside of it, You will lose control of your body and will slaughter anyone on sight. No one has ever control this skill, Even the king afraid of this power, Using hatred and rage as its source the stronger the hatred and rage and so on the skill.

But if Ray can control the power he can become the first person who control the dangerous skill. But people acknowledge it as a curse and not a skill because once the power take control over someone's body, It will be the end for the person because the only way to stop the curse is to kill the person who has been consume.

"What a terrifying power, I'm sorry guys because I'm mentally weak you have to stop me but don't worry I won't cry anymore I will change"

"Just don't overdo it, You can talk to me if you're too shy to talk with your friends"

"Hehe thanks Tezz"

"Tch, You better do it if not I will take control over your body you know"

"Haha okay I will keep that in mind"

While waiting, Ray take a look at his dagger, It's so beautiful and the sharpness is top notch he feel that he can cut anything with his dagger. Then he check the other weapon, The first one is a bow Ray knows it is for Bell. Next is a pendant, Ray feel a surge of power flowing out from the pendant so Ray assume the pendant is for Zed and the last one is a pair of bracelet.

"Hm interesting"

He immediately wear the bracelet, Ray feel like his hand is a diamond that won't break. He just swings his hand lightly yet he feel he already break something and it turns out to be true because the wall has a little crack because of his light swings.

'Gulp'

"Woah that was insane, I should never swing this thing at the first place"

"HAHAHA"

"Shut up will you?"

Two hours have passed, His friends slowly awake from their sleep and the first thing they see is Ray but this time Ray is the one who is sleeping. Good thing Tezz notice he immediately wake Ray's up.

"Yo you guys awake"

"Ray the old man is de-"

"Nah Ryo it's okay, It's not your fault"

"But still I can't sa-"

"Enough Ryo, Rather than whining about what has done we should appreciate the weapon that the old man forge for us, Come on cheer up everyone"

They notice something is different about Ray but yeah Ray is right what's done is done. Ray then tell them to look at the table, He already place their weapon on their table. The moment of silent struck for a second, They want to cherish the moment that the old man spent to forge their weapon.

"Guys let's get ready tonight is the night for the old man funeral"

They immediately put on their cloth, It's a brand new cloth and also a present for helping the kingdom. Ray excuse himself first because he want to inform the king about his friends.

"Your majesty my friends has awake"

"Tch cut the crap will you I said don't be formal with me"

"Haha it can't be help you're the king here"

"Tell your friends to get ready and we will start the funeral"

The old man has been put into the coffin, Ray and his friends are the first one to pay respect for the old man. No matter how hard they hold their tears, It still drop.

The funeral is done in just 30 minutes, Ray and his friends sitting under the hut and discussing where they should headed next. Ray explain to everyone that they will need a new party member that excel in dealing and at the same time supporting the team with buff.

"I think we should recruit Jazz, He is the one we fought against in the mock battle and I think he excel in magic and buff."

"Hm alright it's set then so let's depart now"

"Heh are you serious!?"

"Of course Bell but don't worry I've got a friend in here, Well then if you can excuse me for a few minutes"

Ray once again meet with the king, But this time he want to ask Gravs to provide him with a wagon.

"It's settle then but why leave now?"

"Hehe I want to recruit a new member"

"Ah I see, Okay then I'll pray for your journey"

Just as Ray said it will be done in a few minutes, He come back with the new wagon and two horses. They immediately left after Ray get the wagon out of nowhere.

On their way to the human kingdom, They have been greet by a mysterious figure wearing a hood. The figure ask for the direction to some place and Ray point it out.

"Thanks kid I hope we will meet again in the future"

Somehow Ray's instinct warn him that the guy in the hood is dangerous, But he just act normal and let it go for now but for real after the guy left Ray notice that he is sweating and his cloth are wet.

But the figure is real deal, If they are fought with it then it will be their lose for sure.

"Hehe that kid is interesting, I'm 100% sure we will meet again in the future"
