Chapter: 1, Mortals first glance.

An old man once told me that "A choice from the gods is as useless as the gods themselves" and ever since I met that old man, he taught me so many things, much more than I thought I needed.

I am Achilles Kratos Jin-woo Uchiha, the adopted son of Kratos. I was 5 by the time he found me, my knowledge of the material world was quite adept at the time, even for my age, but he told me I still had a lot to learn. So I did, he taught me how to fight, hunt, kill, cook, track, and taught me how to read and write in multiple different languages dead and alive. He taught me about the hidden worlds of the pantheons, the way of battle, and the cycle of life. He taught me about my unique abilities as a "shinobi" from the Shintoism pantheon, apparently a dead pantheon. He taught me everything I needed to know and gifted me weapons from his travels, but now at 11 years of age, after the death of my father, I have only one place to go, The mortal world.

"This is the mortal realm. Not much changed." I muttered to myself in a bored tone. 'If I remember, my father said that the "mist" would make it so that a "sally Jackson" will believe I'm their nephew'. I strolled across the road and up to a regular looking 6 story apartment building, but, it was the scent, I could smell a Horrific stench, it was as if something was gutted, shat on, burned, and rotted in brine for thirty years. I simply shook my head and walked toward the elevator. 'Door 2A… this is it.' I thought as I knocked on the door. 1 second. 2 seconds. 3 seconds. I went to knock a second time but the door opened and it revealed a roughly eleven-year-old boy, my age, with jet black hair and sea green eyes.

"Hello, is this the residence of a miss? Sally Jackson?" I asked the boy as I got a waft of a godly scent, it smelt like a summer beach breeze.

"Mom! Someone's at the door." he called out but what I heard was an inhumanely disgusting voice, "Who is it boy!?" but before the boy could answer Sally walked out of the kitchen and hugged me, and said "It's been so long, Percy, this is your cousin. Here come in and have a seat, Percy and I will be ready and we'll get going."

'Hmmm, she's very empathetic from what I've seen,' "Okay, where should I wait?"

"Just in the living room honey next to Gabe's poker friends."

After about 45 minutes Gabe took a break from his poker game and told Percy ``Not a scratch on this car, brain boy," he warned him as I loaded the last bag. "Not one little scratch." not like he could even drive he was 12, but that didn't stop that shitstain from trying to intimidate him, I got annoyed when he walked away I saw Percy make a three-fingered gesture over his heart, I whipped my head to Gabe and almost chuckled as I hopped in Gabes Camaro when Percy told his mom to step on it.

I was outside pumping weights. It was nothing compared to what Father put me through but some sort of exercise is good no matter how small the exercise is.

Percy walked outside to what I assumed was to get some fresh air, he saw me and walked towards me, and spoke, "Hey, uh, Ace, I know we don't know each other but do you think I could vent out here?" I nodded in approval to answer in response, he then continued to speak about all of his 'misadventures' and how he had bad luck for a while.

"Thanks, Ace, I think I just needed someone to listen to me" he finished as he walked outside, although I don't need sleep I like to lay down to relax.

I was fine for a few hours until the scent of a satyr and the beasts filled my nostrils I quickly grabbed my gun bag and the keys to the Camaro and opened the door only to find a satyr galloping towards the house he looked at me desperately, I nodded, in turn, left the door open and ran to the Camaro, started it. Sally, Percy, and the satyr ran to the car as I started the car, usually, anyone else would have trouble but the powers I gained from training allowed me to learn how to drive the car as well as a professional racer.

"So, you and my mom… know each other?" I heard Percy ask,

"Not exactly," he said. "I mean, we've never met in person. But she knew I was watching you."

"Watching me?"

"Keeping tabs on you. Making sure you were okay. But I wasn't faking being your friend," he added hastily. "I am your friend."

"Um … what are you, exactly?"

"That doesn't matter right now."

"It doesn't matter? From the waist down, my best friend is a donkey-"

Grover let out a sharp, throaty "Blaa-ha-ha!"

"Goat!" he cried.

"What?"

"I'm a goat from the waist down."

"You just said it didn't matter."

"Blaa-ha-ha! There are satyrs who would trample you under hoof for such an insult!"

"Whoa. Wait. Satyrs. You mean like … Mr. Brunner's myths?"

"Were those old ladies at the fruit stand a myth, Percy? Was Mrs. Dodds a myth?"

"So you admit there was a Mrs. Dodds!"

"Of course."

"Then why-"

"The less you knew, the fewer monsters you'd attract," Grover said,

"So you are a Demigod," I said I could hear Grover visibly gulp, and understandably he couldn't smell me, Father had taught me how to cover my scent.

"Percy," Sally said, "there's too much to explain and not enough time. We have to get you to safety."

"Safety from what? Who's after me?"

"Oh, nobody much," Grover said, obviously still annoyed about the donkey comment. "Just the Lord of the Dead and a few of his blood-thirstiest minions."

"Grover!"

"Sorry, Mrs. Jackson. Could you drive faster, please?"

"On it" and floored it.

I had smelt a metallic scent and felt a static sensation, and I thought 'SHIT!' "Brace yourself!"

"Wha-?" everything went silent, my hearing was gone, and time simply dilated all was peaceful until I blacked out, I was in my mindscape, I got annoyed and forced myself to wake up. When I came to I saw sally barging against the door, the roof was split open though so I grabbed Percy and sally to throw them out, I grabbed Grover and threw him out as I climbed out, 'Shit.' I thought it was a minotaur.

"He doesn't want us," Sally told Percy.

"He wants you. Besides, I can't cross the property line."

"But…"

"We don't have time, Percy. Go. Please."

As it was sniffing around the car it got angry and threw across the asphalt sparking the entire way until it stopped and it exploded. It sniffed the air and looked at us getting ready to charge.

"Percy," Sally said. "When he sees us, he'll charge. Wait until the last second, then jump out of the way- directly sideways. He can't change directions very well once he's charging. Do you understand?" we both nodded.

"Go, Percy! Separate! Remember what I said." she yelled shouldering Grover. Percy froze so I had to grab him to stop him from being run through. The Minotaur turned furiously to Sally. I tried to run but a minotaur's leg strength isn't what I'm used to. It grabbed Sally and she poofed into golden dust.

"NO!" Percy wailed, he looked over at Grover and then at me, he ripped off his red jacket and flailed it around "Hey! Hey stupid! Ground beef!"

The Minotaur roared as it shook its meaty fists. And charged at the red jacket and once it got close Percy jumped eight feet in the air, I didn't jump though he looked at me as I uppercut the bull right in the face causing it to trip and fall dazed on the ground. But as it got up I noticed that Percy was trying to choke out the Minotaur, that was until *snap* he was flung 10 feet on his back, we looked at the Minotaur, and it was charging this time with one horn Percy had the other, Percy lunged to the side as I leaped towards the beast and kicked its other horn clean off. Percy had rammed his horn into its side when I jumped. The Minotaur Flailed and screamed in agony as it turned to golden dust. I Grabbed Percy and Grover and made it to the barn house hearing,

"He's the one. He must be." a girl said

"Silence, Annabeth," the man said. "He's still conscious. Bring him inside." but it seems my time is up as I passed out.
