Chapter 166 - Problems arise

Taking one last look at the dead guard's corpse, Aziel sighed and steeled his resolve. Stepping over it without looking back, he rushed towards the central area of the floor. He took that way because he picked up faint sounds, something akin to mayhaps screams earlier when he was fighting.

Though he wasn't sure, they felt like multiple sources, meaning that the attack of these infected creatures would have reached farther and may have come from multiple directions after all.

Three people who were gathering supplies in the east wing of the mall were now running frantically away as they were being chased by these fast moving growling infected. Further behind them were several more of these infected but weren't rushing with nearly the same seemingly limitless stamina as the forerunners. Instead, they were acting sluggish and were just slowly staggering as they were trying to catch up.
