Blue Faction (2)

It was morning and the sun was just peeking through the horizon of the mountains. It was not that hot but the cadets can still feel the cold breeze of the night. But because of the recent skirmishes they are now on double time to train their bodies and endurance for any upcoming fight to be sent.

"Aim high enough! Then a gunshot followed (BANG!) "Aim! When I said aim I mean hit the target you buffoon!" the officer would tap the cadets head. "Argh! This is why we are losing this strategy game because of these incompetent rubbish cadets that came from the lower class." The officer would look disappointed on the situation they were in.

then the advisor to the colonel came to the officer and said "Lt. Palen, Can I have a word with you regarding the new order came from the top" The officer would look straight at the letter orders and said before taking it "If we need people we are in need of a good officer to lead this unit.." the advisor turns around and before walking away "You need to do something Lt. Palen or else you won't be seen in the graduation ceremony or even be assigned." The officer would look crushed, his hands would be shaking looking at the letter order and he gritted his teeth. Then opens the letter.

"Lt. Palen you are requested to move your unit to attack the mess hall at all cost even if it cost you and your dearest men signed by the colonel of the Blue forces Haraldar"

Lt Palen looked pale and couldn't even look at his unit that was practising and doing some training. "I guess I need to brief my warrant officer on the current situation and let this be a good chance to prove what my unit is capable of"

Meanwhile in the New faction camp in the library.

"Alright boys prepare yourselves we are moving out" shouted by shanks who was wearing his uniform and armour. He would look at the face of his men and they look still tired but they need to move and prepare. All of the units from platoon 1 to unit 4 we're all ready. And it has begun that each unit would prepare themselves to march towards their positions.

"Forward March!" shouted by a warrant officer in Platoon 1 and company 1. "Move out double-time march!" shouted by an officer in Platoon 2 and company 2. "Forward March!" shouted by a warrant officer in front of Platoon 3 and company 3. "Onward cavalry unit" a shout came from unit 4 then the platoon 4 would proceed to march too on the rear of the unit 4.

On the platoon 2 and company 2 would then move into their position on the rear of the Blue and Red forces. As they move into their position they would raise a flag signal to let the HQ know that they are in position. After a few minutes Artirian would then give the order of sabotage and raised a red flag signalling to attack.

"ARGHHHH! AHHHHH" shouted by the cadets who were charging on each of the incoming caravans. The clash would be devastating as the caravan that was heading towards their destination didn't know that there would be a surprise attack and their escort was not that many.

One of the cadets would punch a Blue forces cadet and it would be knocked to the ground. While on the red faction caravan it was also caught on surprise even the caravan guards that were to protect the caravan were pinned and been knocked on the ground. Some would try to escape and run but they were already knocked by the unit 4 from their escape route.

Artirian already planned the designated escape routes that the enemy forces will go if they are ambushed that is why there were no cadets that had escaped. Soon all of the knocked cadets would be put on a wagon and be transported to the arena which has a cell that has been built for Wild beasts that were to train cadets to fight them. The knocked cadets would be thrown inside the cell.

All of the captured caravan guards are counted to 20 and from both factions and the caravan suppliers were freed because they are not part of the strategy game. All of the loot that was taken was transported to the library and then each of the units was given a share of the loot that was taken.

After that sabotage attack Artirian would call out a messenger then a messenger would come "send the message to all forces that are on the sabotage operation you may attack freely and open." the messenger would nod and run out.

The raid was continuous for 3 days straight and all of the cadets from each side would now feel the fatigue and exhaustion and they are getting pissed because of the supplies that were not sent. Some cadets already resorted to trying to steal but they still have no guts facing the outpost commander.

On the 2nd day of the raid, a scout was sent on the route of the caravan. But on their confusion on the report of the scout that there were no signs of caravan and even bodies or ground type of distortion was not found. The outpost commander already sent 4 messengers towards headquarters about their problem but there was no reply.

Artirian would look at the map that he planned and he was hoping that on this third day that the plan must be executed. Then an alert form the outside came and the spies he sent from both outposts. The first spy came in and he is from the Blue forces outpost.

"Sir, my report would be simple as they are running low on ammunition and they are also low on food.that is the situation of the Blue forces and also to add to that sir that the Outpost commander receive a letter coming from the HQ that they will be receiving a backup unit that is composed of 2 companies and a light cavalry"

Then the spy saluted back and went out then the next spy would speak that came from the Red forces outpost "

Sir, My report would be that the Red forces outpost commander had sent 4 scouts and 4 messengers already. I think they are planning something big."

Artirian already noticed that the skirmishes were continuous even though their supplies were not being delivered; that was the flaw of both forces in strategy and tactics. They cannot secure their supply lines and Artirian knows that supply line is the lifeline of a unit. He also noticed that he must divert the outpost attention on the sabotage supplies rather than watching the mess hall attack.

Meanwhile, the platoon 3 and company 3 were only waiting for the given time for them to attack the MessHall. As they also see that their guards are slowly weakening because of the supplies being sabotaged.

When he looked at the position of the other units he was sure this is the time to initiate the final phase of the operation. Artirian calls a messenger Artirian voice would be serious and assertive, his eyes were locked on the strategy table "Send this message to platoon 3 and company 3 tell them that proceed to attack and charge the mess hall. And make use of their might and take it." The messenger would reply "Yes, Sir " before leaving the tent.

Followed by "Messenger!" shouted by Artirian then a messenger would come inside the tent and said "Sir?" Artirian replies with "Send this messenger to platoon 3 and platoon 4 that they need to combine their forces to attack the Blue forces outpost to divert attention."

Then the Messenger would nod and quickly go out of the tent. Artirian would then shout again "Messenger!" then a messenger would come in "tell this to unit 3 and company 3 to combine their forces and attack the Red forces outpost." then the messenger would reply "Yes, Sir" then hurriedly went out of the tent.

After all that sent out messages, Artirian smiled and while looking at the map Arthur would be beside Artirian and then Arthur would look at Artirian and said "When will I come to the battle scene" Artirian looks at Arthur.

"Split the remaining forces and remove the tent we are going to battle" Arthur face change quickly then Artirian added, "take the incoming forces that to reinforce the Red forces outpost while I counter the incoming Blue forces headed to the Blue forces outpost." Arthur nodded. And they both quickly armed themselves.
