After Ajax got the heritage, he left as quickly as possible and returned to his room. The cube also vanished after he received it; luckily, the priests were knocked out by the heritage transfer and no one saw him out.

'Disentegrated?' Ajax was curious about the effect, so he took a dagger, activated the skill, and stabbed himself. To Ajax's surprise, the dagger did indeed vanish, or at least the part that touched him. 

Upon closer inspection, the dagger first deconstructed into small molecules before being erased by the void. Ajax smiled and nodded in satisfaction; this day has been the best he's ever had!

He didn't bother to check the attributes since he couldn't use them because he was still lacking strength; instead, he checked his stats.

After waking up, he checked again, and sure enough, it wasn't a dream; he rose up by three folds in stats! He was also a legitimate grandmaster now! 

Ajax planned to leave the village since he was healed and even got himself a souvenir. It took him three days to get to Nero Village, where he wrote his reports about the mission and the appearance of the beast. Due to this, he was compensated more for his troubles. 

Ajax had at least 30 gold now, and since he didn't have to work for some time, he decided to visit the library again and maybe learn a thing or two about survival tips.

Once Ajax got there, a girl with silvery curly hair greeted him. "Ajax! Are you okay? I've never heard from you for 2 weeks straight!" Dioni said in a worried tone. 

"I'm fine. I was on a mission outside the capital." Ajax said. He took out the part where he got mortally wounded to ease her worries. 

"I see. Next time, can you at least warn me before saying goodbye?" She said this while pouting. 

"Okay, okay, I'll do so, ma'am," Ajax said. They both spent the rest of the evening talking while reading books. After a while, Ajax bid his goodbyes before leaving, but Dioni stopped him before he could go. Ajax looked at Dioni and asked if there were any problems. 

"Ajax I have a request." She said it in a low tone and looked at the shadows before an isolation space was cast. 

Ajax was surprised to see that; he thought isolation spaces were only used by monsters, not humans! And to think she knows the people in the shadows, what was her identity?

"An isolation space... who are you really?" Ajax asked. "Don't worry, they don't mean you harm; they follow my orders and won't do anything as long as I'm not in danger." She said it in a reassuring tone. 

Ajax looked at her and slowly nodded, but he didn't completely let down his guard. He had only met her twice; that wasn't enough for him to fully trust her. 

"Why did you stop me, and why cast an isolation barrier?" Ajax asked. "You're an adventurer, right? I want to hire your service." She said. 

"Hire me? for what?" Ajax spoke. "Before I say where, I will first introduce who I really am, Im Dioni Lifeblood, my clan is a descendant of the grand primogenitor of blood." She spoke. 

Ajax had a realization; he finally remembered where he heard the last name Lifeblood; it was found in the book of legacy families! He was talking to the heir of a legacy family!

Ajax took a deep breath and regained his composure. Now the dots connected: the way she talked and acted, and the people in the shadows. 

"Where and when?" He asked. Her face brightened up, and she said, "The location you're escorting me to is called Valhalla; it's where most heirs go every 50 years to try and receive a blessing from their ancestors; it can be an heirloom, protection, or an ability." She said. 

"Hmm, okay, but when?" 

"Tommorow"

Dioni invited Ajax to look at their armory to get some gear before the travel, the journey towards valhalla was long and dangerous, many organizations tried to take this opportunity to attack the heirs of legacies. He was guided to a big mansion guarded by many awakeners and, of course, more people hidden in the shadow. 

Dioni herself guided Ajax, and guards and maids greeted her every time they pass by. Soon enough, they reached the armory, and there was a guardian there. Ajax couldn't measure his power, but by his aura, he was definitely someone strong. 

Inside the armory were multiple weapons, armor, artifacts, and many more. He was free to choose 3 items, but if he took more than 3, he would be pulverized by the formation. 

He looked around and saw multiple high-grade weapons, but while looking, he felt something—he felt a connection somewhere. Ajax followed this connection, and he found himself in front of a floating black box. 

"This feels like deja vu." Ajax said. He picked up the box and continued on; there wasn't anything that caught his attention like the cube from earlier, so he just took a legendary-grade armor that looked like Assasin's clothes and a legendary-grade necklace. 

While he didn't feel any connections with these, they were certainly something he wanted. The armor covered his full body, so it offered the best protection, while the necklace had a good effect.

After confirming the three objects he picked, the binding process began, and it was now his. Ajax immediately equipped it and followed Dioni to the meeting place. 

There he found three carriages with a ton of guards; he estimated that the guards were all somewhere around master rank, while the captain was ranked grandmaster. The two carriages are positioned in front and back of the third carriage, forming a shield. 

Dioni entered it, and Ajax followed the guards; the guards looked at him with hostility, but Ajax just waved it off and focused on his mission. Their journey had begun.
