There are around eight or nine drones with large ranged searchlights that drive away the swarm. Then Anna screamed in pain, Amy turned around to see a small bat bite her leg. Amy grabbed the squealing bat and purified it before settling Anna down and purifying the vampire venom. After sensing she is no longer in any danger, she teleported her to Boris for treatment.

The men are also in a state of confusion as the drones flew to where Amy is. The men continued to be attacked by the vampires. Amy would have gone and rescued them but she is not ready to face vampires, bandits and soldiers all at once.

Alabaster appeared close to her with a large case.

"What the hell was that? You actually succeeded on making them?" Amy said while observing one of the drones.

"I also used artificial sunlight to drive away the vampires. The hard part is making them silent but it is nothing to fix with a silencing charm."

She can't help but scoff at Alabaster's brilliance.

"Are you following the bats?"

"Yes, I even shot a checkpoint on them. We'll know when they land."

Amy then focused on Boris who is healing Anna.

"How is she?"

"The bite is small and there is no sign of vampirism. Since you purified it before anything else happens, she will be fine."

"Good." Amy pulled out a blue tipped spear in her hand and it extends to the right size. "The Blue Holly lock spear is finally done. Thanks,"

"The rest of the weapons are available for your use. You can take out the vampire infestation anytime." Alabaster said, opening the case.

Amy took the knifes and changed into something more comfortable. The outfit is made up from her construction ability. It was out of memory of her original life. She made the outfit back in the academy and gave it to Alabaster for safekeeping. She has seen many people wear this and she never got the chance to so she is a bit excited to have an opportunity to try it on.

"What is this outfit anyway?"

"It's called Kevlar. It originated from my world. It is the perfect material against vampires." She then put on a hood, goggles and mask to cover herself with.

After packing, she heads to where the men are and there are only a few left. The rest succumbed to the sun after being bitten. She healed all of them then she noticed that Ethan is gone. The armor he usually wears is on the ground, now ownerless. This is quite the ambush and planned by those vampires, no doubt about it.

She noticed the young boy, unharmed and hiding underneath the silk fabric. She grabbed some, ripped it with her knife and tended the wounded. It is quite fortunate the horses are unharmed. Vampires usually like human blood anyway.

Then she heard screaming and turned around to punch the boy who grabbed a nearby sword to strike her with. The boy fell on his back in disbelief.

"Put everyone on the wagon and go home. Those vampires won't be coming back. Take the gold as well. You have people that are counting on you now." But before she could walk away, he shouted,

"Where are you going?"

"Back," she answered, "Naturally, I have to go home just like you."

"W-Wha, I don't-"

"Vampires are intelligent. They must be planning this ambush. Though they don't know much about me, they mainly attacked your leader and killed him. Know anything about that?"

The boy was unable to answer, stunned. "He led a raid against a vampire settlement. They want revenge."

Amy nodded. With a short lifespan and no multiple births, raising an army must take a lot of effort for them. Vampires are capable of holding generational grudges. Whatever Ethan did must be terrible.

To compensate for their high death rates, they sometimes convert humans into themselves but the risk outweighs the benefit as it results in the transformed human to retaliate in revenge or commit suicide so they usually transform human children resorting to stealing them from the cradle. They are always careful with it though because the parents will retaliate and if they steal the wrong child; one with demonic or angelic ancestry like hers, it will kill them.

"That makes sense."

"Aren't you scared?"

Stunned, she looked to see the kid who barely looks any older than her scared out of his wits.

"Of course I am. I'm scared all the time." she said and starts brushing her hair with a comb.

"Where are you going and what's with these clothes?"

"To the vampires of course. If they are willing to attack humans like this then they are a menace." She said then began braiding it into her signature hairstyle.

"But how could you do that? You're just a kid!"

"I'm stronger than you'd think. Just because I'm ill doesn't mean I'm powerless." She said as she finished styling her hair and tucking it in her hood.

"Give me a weapon. I want to fight too!"

"No," she shot him down, "Take your wounded somewhere else. I'll deal with the vampires as soon as they get to their base." She then saw the approaching drones, waiting.

"What can you do?"

"Plenty," she answered then she got a signal, "I should go."

"Wait! I was told that if we take you to Getel then you would solve our problems. You don't look older than eleven." he shouted.

"Twelve," she corrected, "I'm twelve years old. And I belong in Solin."

She stared at him with an inexpressive look. "How old are you and what's your name?"

"Thirteen," he answered tearfully. "And my name is Colin."

"Solin is not perfect either. Despite the differences between our two countries, the struggle exists. Solin is at least trying and at least maintains its protection over its commoners. Getel isn't. People believe that the nobles have all the power but it is proven that the common people can topple even the tallest of positions. If you knew the stories of our founders then all of them came from humble beginnings and not all of them have powers. Solin is a warrior from a different land and he didn't start out as the all powerful hero king. Hekaton was a low-ranked acolyte who defied and destroyed a malicious cult and the god they worshipped, Damat was a slave who cleverly rose through the ranks and toppled the previous dynasty and became sultan, Karnei was a commoner without a formal education but a skilled politician and strategist and Getel was the world's greatest monster hunter and the best magician of the age." she said, "If you can overcome the inferiority of your class, then you can accomplish a lot." She finished then tossed him her blue holly lock tomahawk. It is small but compact and practical.

She then teleported away.
