While testing multiple theories, we decided that we need practical lessons first. But we still had fun trying some spells, not that any of them worked of course. Dad did catch us once, but he just wink at left, I'm just glad mum didn't catch us. I shiver at the thought. On the morning of September first, we get up at four in the morning.
"We're going Hogwarts today, I can't wait." Ginny said while packing up stuff to put into her trunk.
"What house do you want to be in Ginny?" I ask, wondering if she wants to be in Gryffindor like her family.
"Whichever house you're in, then we can continue with our research, even at night. Have you thought about it?" She said, picking up her books and stuffing them into her trunk.
"I don't really mind to be honest, but I think dad will be annoyed if I was in Slytherin." I said, I start to laugh, thinking of the face he would pull.
"I think mum and dad would be annoyed with me as well, if I ended up in Slytherin." She said, laughing as well.
When we stop laughing, I look around the room, and see an empty birdcage.
"Ginny, have you seen Kuro?" I ask, trying to find her.
"Maybe she's still out hunting?" Ginny suggested, pointing out the window at the still dark sky.
She was probably right, so I start getting ready, putting on a t-shirt I got from a trip to Japan. It's got a manga character called Vegeta on it. Then I put on a pair of black jeans. Look in the and just nod my head. I start brushing my hair and see Ginny, looking at my t-shirt.
"Want one to wear?" I ask, looking at her.
She nodded her head and I smiled, I look in my wardrobe and pick out a Goku one for her. She smiles while putting it on. She looks happy when she sees herself in the mirror. Now it's just a waiting game, we have about six hours to kill. So we just try to come up with some new theories. Time flew and we heard dad shouting for us to come down. I put Kuro in her cage and drag the trunk downstairs, with Ginny following.
We reach the front room, and I see mum, she has eyes like mine, but the colour is dark blue instead of my bright blue. She has shoulder length black hair, and an oval shaped face.
"Mum you got the time off then." I said, giving her a hug.
"I'm not going to miss my little girl going off to school, now am I?" She said with a smile. "Perks of owning your own business, plus that woman has no more days off, so if she doesn't come in, I'll fire her."
"Mum you know you can be scary sometimes." I said still hugging her.
"Well how do you think I tamed your father." She said with an evil smile. "Oh and I'll need you to pass Severus a letter for me."
She hands me a letter, with the same evil smile. I'm starting to fell bad for dad and Mr Snape. I look at it, at least it's not a howler.
"Come on girls, Sirius is waiting in the car." Mum said, while using magic to lift our trunks up.
I grab Kuro's cage and we follow mum. Getting into the back seats, we start talking about Hogwarts houses with mum. She still thinks I'll be in Ravenclaw, I ask about what sorts us but nether mum or dad would tell us. I tried a puppy dog look on dad, and as he was about to tell me, he was stopped by mum. Damn I should of asked earlier, oh well I'll know soon enough. I wonder why they won't tell us, maybe it's a rule?
We reach kings cross and I look around. I've always had a dislike for London, I think it's because of how stagnant the magic is here. Mum looks at me with a smile.
"I know that look, why don't you like London?" She asked wondering, but then her face changed as she thought of something. "It's the stagnant magic right?"
I just nod my head not wanting to look around. She just starts to laugh.
"Claire, if you look up, you'll see it's only stagnant because of the building's, higher up it's purer." She said pointing to the sky.
I look up and see what she means, it's so much clearer. Why does muggle building's do this to magic. I wonder if there is a way to fix it, I have a new thing to research. I hear mum laughing even harder, while looking at me.
"I swear you're just a mini me." She said, trying to stop laughing.
