Chapter 1: The beginning

As the cool wind rushes by, hearing the leaves rustling on this summer eve, I write in this journal with blood-stained hands to tell the story; the story of an assassin.

It all begins with a little girl named Ivy, whose beauty was unrivaled with hair blacker than the night and eyes so blue that they challenged the sky, but the one thing is beauty can hide the darkest secrets.

A soundless night she was awoken from the noise of a gun firing. Startled by it, she quickly get up and runs to her door; She slowly opens her door to see her mom lying in what seemed to be an ocean of blood. As Ivy saw this she screamed, mortified of what was staying right in front of her.

Right in front of her was a woman whose hair was scarlet red with eyes to match. She was wearing all black, but it was stained with red. As Ivy looked up there eyes connected and it was like the fiery redhead lit a match in her. They stood there in utter silence, just staring at each other. Ivy knew there were only a few options in this, she could go with the redhead or be killed by her.

Suddenly something came over Ivy, her calm and collected composure fell to pieces. Her eyes started to fill with tears and her heartfelt so heavy that she thought she would fall to the ground. The redhead wasn't ready for that reaction her serious faces turned into pity and sorrow for Ivy. Soon dizziness came rushing to Ivy and she collapsed to the floor.

The redhead heard police sirens coming closer to the house, so she scooped Ivy up into her arms, grabbed one of Ivy's stuffed animals, and ran out into the darkness.

Later into the night Ivy slipped in and out of consciousness from the lack of sleep. When she opened her eyes only to have the sun pierce them with the bright light that radiated throughout the room.

As she sat up, she heard a woman's voice say. "So you finally wake up."

She quickly turned her head to see the redhead from the prior night in a flowing sky blue dress and her hair in a ponytail. The redhead asked Ivy if she was hungry. Ivy didn't answer, she just stared at the redhead until she saw something for the corner of her eye, as she turned her head a pair of Japanese swords hanging from the wall was in her line of sight.

The redhead said. "I got those in Tokyo from fighting some thugs."

Ivy immediately turned back to the redhead with her eyes so wide that they looked like they would pop out of her head.

"Wait really!" Ivy said with so much excitement.

Soon Ivy's enthusiasm died down, she asked. "Who are you?"

The redhead looked at Ivy with a caring tone and said. "My name is Vivica…. Vivica Himura and I are going to take care of you and teach you how to be an assassin."
