cannot believe you encouraged him to do that!" Eleanora squeaks, angrily gathering up her dress to put back in its bag. Mark stands a bit behind her quietly, watching with slight amusement as his wife continued on.

"It was her and Matthews , Mark! Now Matthew is going to be heartbroken and traumatized all because you and Jackson have this weird bond and weird understanding of romance!"

"My understanding of romance is not weird." Mark argued, raising a brow. "It got me you, didn't it?"

Eleanora turned on her heels, her eyes narrowed as she put her hands on her hips. "You do not get to charm your way out of this one!"

"Doll, listen to me." Mark said slowly, walking over to his wife. He brushed some hair out of her face, some of her anger disappearing at the action. "Avery and Kepner have obviously been in love for a very long time. You know this because you have been one of their biggest supporters. It was either him do this or let the two of them sit in unhappy relationships that would never work out."

Eleanora bit the inside of her cheek, her eyes still a little stormy. However, Mark can sense he '', a large grin slipping on his lips.

Before either of them could continue, Cristina marched into the room, already out of her bridesmaid dress much like Eleanora. She looked between the two for a moment before rolling her eyes, pointing behind her towards the other dressing room across the hall.

"Meredith is mad at Derek because the President called him or something and there's an emergency at the hospital. Can one of you handle them and help me—"

"I will go to the hospital." Eleanora said quickly, handing her husband the duffel bag. He let out a small '', his brows furrowing. Eleanora gave him a sarcastic, charming smile, patting him on the chest. "The love guru here can handle Mer and Derek."

Eleanora grabs her purse, Cristina snorting as the two make their way to leave. Mark lets out a small scoff, calling after Eleanora and Yang.

"Okay, that's not fair!"

, Miss Maynard." Eleanora spoke, helping the woman onto the CT machine. "We are going to take a couple scans if your brain. Now that a few weeks have passed, it's time for one of the checkups to see if any brain chemistry has changed. Do you have any questions for me?"

"No." The woman said softly, her face tired. She had gotten much tinier since the last check-up, her cheeks and eyes hollow. Eleanora frowned a bit but just nodded, strapping her in and starting the machine.

Eleanora quickly went into the viewing room, sitting down beside Jo Wilson. She sighed, taking out the chart and clicked her pen open, shaking her head.

"You know, she's the only patient to have had this bad of a reaction. Everyone else was a little tired, sure, but it only lasted a week after the injection. I wonder if it's because her Alzheimer's is farther along or if it's something with the actual drug."

When she doesn't hear a response or hum, Eleanora slowly looks over at Jo, only to find the second year resident staring her down. Eleanora cleared her throat, raising a brow.

"Yes, Wilson?"

"Can I ask you something personal?"

"Uh....sure?"

"If someone were to propose to you without you knowing and you, without your knowledge, said yes, how would you break that off without sounding like a total bitch?"

Eleanora's mouth opens a bit, her eyes narrowing as she stares at Jo silently. After a few seconds, she finally spoke up, her head tilting.

"Alex Karev proposed to you?"

"Suddenly! A-and without my knowledge. I mean, he just made it seem like he wanted a dog or something and he was upset about his dad but, I mean, there wasn't even a ring!"

"Would you have said yes?" Eleanora asks. Jo shuts her mouth, her eyes wide and staring Eleanora down as she was obviously at a loss of words. "If Alex had shown you a ring and got down on one knee, would you have said yes?"

"N-no! I mean..." Jo scoffs a bit, rubbing at her arm. "I'm only a second year resident. I don't want to be married! I don't have the time, a-and there's....well..."

"Jo, I mean this in the kindest way possible." Eleanora said Lu softly, giving her a soft smile. "I don't want to know the reasons you would tell one of my best friends '' to a proposal. You should tell him that."

"Right."

"But do that later, because right now we have a woman who is not doing that well and I really want to figure out if and how we can fix it. Okay?"

"Yeah, Dr. A. Sorry."

sat beside Alex at his fathers bedside, rubbing up and down his arm softly. Jimmy was doing nothing but worse, the damage Ross did to his heart the night of April's failed wedding finally taking its toll.

The two friends were silent, Eleanora not knowing wha to say in this situation and Alex not knowing what he wanted her to say.

"Dr. Karev?"

Shane's voice makes Eleanora stiffen, her eyes flashing over to Alex's face, watching as he clenches his jaw. He looks back at the resident before looking back at his father, taking a deep breath.

"Walk away, Ross."

"Dr. Karev, I owe you an apology." Shane continues. Eleanora turns to throw the resident a look, shaking her head quickly. He obviously doesn't understand that Eleanora was trying to potentially save his life because he continues. "I owe you both—"
