at one of the lab tables, Eleanora sat with her chin propped in her hand as she and all the other residents listened to Dr. Bailey speak about patient care and sensitivity.

"Uh, reaction, observation, communication. Any questions so far"

Pretty much everyone raises their hands, Dr. Bailey letting out a huff and she gives the group a look. "We are doing this because Chief Shepherd suggests we brush up on our patient sensitivity skills. That's . And it just so happens, this morning was a very good time. Besides, half of you were raised by wolves."

Eleanora giggled, turning her head to look at Jackson. "She means you." She teased him, Jackson giving her a look.

"Really? I hadn't noticed."

"Reaction." Bailey says as she writes the word on the white board. She looks at the paper in her hand, facing them as she reads off of it. "Keep your face impassive. Whether prompted by a patients appearance or lab results, facial expressions of surprise, concern, disgust, et cetera, can be counterproductive."

"Uh, lalalalalala, jokes. Don't make jokes about patients. Not in front of them, not even in private."

Cristina, who was sitting beside Eleanora, rose her hand quickly. Eleanora jumped at the sudden movement, pulling her chin off of her hand to stare at her friend with an offended look.

"Yang?" Bailey asked. Cristina put her hand down and leaned forward, voice and face completely serious.

"What if the joke is funny?" A few chuckles escape some of the residents, Eleanora flicking at Cristina's arm. Cristina rubs her arm and then flicks Eleanora back, a gasp falling from the smaller girls mouth.

"It's not. And neither is that one." Bailey answered before pointing between the two friends. "You two, stop hitting each other or I'll have to separate you."

"Observation." Bailey's pager goes off as she turns back to them from the whiteboard again, her checking it quickly before focusing back on her speech. "Okay, use reflective listening. Repeat the patients feelings back to them. Um, I hear that you're concerned about the surgery, let me explain the risks."

Alex leans to the side to speak to his friends, Eleanora glancing over at him as he talks in a funny voice. "I can see you like vegetables, after surgery you might become one."

Cristina bursts out laughing, Meredith giving a high pitched giggle. Eleanora gives him a look but can't help the smile that slips on her face at the joke, focusing forward again. Bailey gives the four of them a look, much like an annoyed mother, as she continues.

"Communication. Don't use jargon, use language that the patient can understand. Be creative in using metaphors."

"Ugh, I'm terrible with metaphors. I can never come up with 'em." Charles complains, Cristina speaking to him over her shoulder.

"Why, 'cause you're dumb, as a box of hammers?"

"You see, thats a good one. You're an ass, but that was a good one." Charles responds, Cristina giving a proud look as she crosses her arms.

"Be clear and comprehensive, explain all risks and all probable outcomes, leaving nothing out." Bailey rattles off. Eleanora blinks and furrows her brows at the rapid speed, sitting back in her chair. "Questions...Adamson?"

"Why are you going so fast?" Reed asked the Attending, Eleanora nodding in agreement.

"That was like Sonic, Bailey." Eleanora added, Meredith snorting at the comparison.

"It just so happens that we have an emergent patient arriving who will need a little extra sensitivity. So remember to employ your...R-O-C, and you will.... your patients world."

Groans filled the room at the words out of Bailey's mouth, Eleanora letting out a loud laugh as she scrunched her nose up and shook her head.

"Oh come on, that was so bad!" Eleanora told her Attending, Bailey throwing her a look.

"Okay, that's enough of that, follow me to the pit!" Everyone got up and followed behind Bailey, Cristina knocking into Eleanora's shoulder purposely.

Eleanora let out a noise and pushed her back, Lexie laughing as she stepped up on the other side of Eleanora.

"Yang, Amedeo, I saw that!" Bailey yells out over her shoulder, both Cristina and Eleanora's eyes widening in slight fear.

"How did she see that?" Cristina whispered to Eleanora hurriedly.

"She's like....all-knowing." Eleanora whispered back, shivering.

piled out into the Ambulance Bay, Eleanora skipping up and settling between Jackson and April. She gave the two a smile before leaning forward to look around the crowd when she heard the ambulance, Jackson scoffing.

"What kind of patient needs this many doctors?" He asked, crossing his arms. April perks up, shrugging.

"Maybe they're famous or something. Oh, what if it's the President?"

"I highly doubt it's the President, April." Eleanora told her friend. "It'd make more sense if it's like, Bono or something."

An ambulance drives up but passes them, a loading truck behind it. Eleanora furrowed her brows, confusion written on her and every other residents face. Bailey turns around to speak to them all, voice serious.

"All right, people, remember what you've been taught. Use it throughout the day. There consequences if you don't."

"What the hell is it?" Alex grumbled, Eleanora shaking her head.

"I have no idea."
