walked beside Cristina in the front lobby, both women flipping through a wedding magazine. Eleanora hadn't been able to do much else during work hours, seeing as she had still yet to be cleared for surgery. So, she helped out in the pit, helped run labs, and planned her wedding. Well, she planned her own wedding and then helped Cristina plan

The elevators open, Eleanora glancing up from the article she was reading about the importance of getting the proper cake topper when she heard Meredith and Derek bickering.

"Oh, Derek got arrested again!" Meredith told her friends, Eleanora raising a brow. "Reckless endangerment."

"Did he lose his license yet?" Cristina asked, making a face. Eleanora giggled, focusing back on the article as the four friends started for the lobby so Derek could start his 'welcome back' speech.

"Please, they would never take the Amazing Dr. Shepherd's license away." Eleanora teased, Derek throwing her a playful glare. Meredith huffed, not finding the humor in the situation.

"No, because they don't charge him, because the cops worship him!" Derek shrugged off his suit jacket, rolling his eyes at his wife's (understandable) agitation.

"Because saved some of their lives. They probably wouldn't take Eleanora's license, either, because helped me save their lives." Derek argued.

"Well, Derek, there would be no need to take my license because I am just fine with my safe and legal driving." Eleanora added without looking up, flipping the page.

Meredith huffed, looking at Cristina's magazine first and then glancing over at Eleanora's. "What are we picking?"

"I'm trying to find a better color scheme. Mark just doesn't scream '' to me." Eleanora told her.

"Dress color. I'm not wearing white." Cristina answered Meredith, changing the magazine to another one. "It's sexist and....vaguely racist. No white, no veil, no rice."

"Well, you and Mark both look well with dark blues and purples." Meredith told Eleanora before focusing her words back on Cristina. "What will your mother say?"

"." Cristina told her, Eleanora giggling at it. Meredith let out a sigh before turning to her husband, the four of them turning a corner.

"You know, I didn't get cleared for surgery and I'm pretty sure it's your fault." Meredith told her husband, Derek giving an eye roll.

"Meredith, I am the Chief. I can overrule the counselor."

"You can?" Meredith asked. Eleanora's head snapped up, her voice confused.

"You can?"

"Yes!" Derek laughed out, Meredith giving a happy smile before pointing out a dress to Cristina.

"I love the blue."

"Chief Shepherd, you're back!" April exclaimed, exiting a nearby conference room. "I found a giant skull base chordoma. Biggest one I've ever seen. He came into the ER with trouble breathing."

Eleanora dragged her eyes away from her magazine to peek over Derek's shoulder as April handed him the scans. She let out an '', her eyes lightening up.

"You got cleared for surgery?" Meredith asked April, her eyebrows raising. April had become one of Mer's friends after the shooting and had even moved into one of the spare rooms, too sad to live in her and Reed's old apartment by herself.

"I did!" April told her with a smile before focusing back on Derek and the scans.

"Bitch." Her and Eleanora's focus was drawn away from the scans and April to Cristina, who wanted their opinion on the dress she had just found. April pushes open the doors to the surgical lobby, the crowd of Doctors, nurses, and other hospital staff waiting for the speech clapping.

Eleanora jumps at the noise, her eyes widening as she looks around. "None of us got a round of applause." She pointed out, Cristina snorting.

Derek moved to the steps, giving everyone tight lipped smiles and hellos. Eleanora glanced around, finding her fiancé towards the front. She locked her and Cristina's arms together and pulled her forward, Meredith following them. Eleanora settled in beside Mark, grinning up at him.

"Hello." She greeted, Mark looking up from his phone. A smile formed on his face as he bent down a bit to peck her lips.

"Hello to you, too." Mark told her. He finished up the text and then put his phone in his lab pocket, nodding towards the magazine in his fiancé's hand. "What color scheme you thinking?"

"Maybe dark blue and some kind of purple." Eleanora mused, flipping the page as the crowd settled and Derek prepared to start speaking. "Maybe a lilac?"

"Lilacs nice." Mark agreed, the smile not leaving his face as he watched her read.

"It's, uh, it's great to be back. First of all, I'd like to thank Dr. Webber for stepping up in my absence. Thank you." Derek spoke, a round of applause for Webber sounding before Derek continued. "Um, I'm grateful for all of you, for all of your support during my recovery. Thank you. Oh, it's just, uh, great to be back as Chief. I'm grateful for the, um...."

Derek trailed off, making Eleanora look up from the magazine in her hands. She scrunched her nose up and tilted her head, watching as Derek looked at the scans in his hands with a bright and excited look on his face. After a moment, he takes a sharp breath in and then looks up, addressing everyone.

"I'm sorry, that's a lie." Those words make Cristina and Meredith snap their heads up, Eleanora raising a brow. "That's what people say, and uh, the truth is.....I hate being Chief. I hate it. Chief Webber....Chief Webber is our Chief. Um, and I'm sorry, but this giant....sorry, I gotta go look at this chordoma. I'm sorry, but.....I quit."
