Chapter 7: Regina Babylon

The blonde girl slowly opened her eyes and stood up slowly, one completely incorporated, she blinked repeatedly a few times before she fixated her sight on Levisay.

"So... morning, I guess?" Levisay said while tilting his face to the left side.

"Howdy, Levisay Stallard, of the Stallard Dynasty. Well you see, I used my foresight device to see a lot of your adventures in the future, so it does not feel like it is the first time meeting you. Even so, good morning to you too" She said while raising her hand with a smile "The name is Regina Babylon, good to finally make your acquaintance"

"You know me?"

"Well, not in the strict definition, but there is this device I used and you are who appeared, it showed me so many of your adventures that some of them I even doubted to be real," The blonde girl said with a nod "But at the moment, you are a younger version of the person I saw, at least ten years younger"

"Interesting, so it could be said that you know what will happen in the future," Levisay said with a slight smile "I have to say I am curious to know too, but I rather live in ignorance in that regard"

"Oh my, you were fairly rational and intelligent in the way you think when I saw your sixteen-year-old self, but to think you would be this mature at this young age is surely something amazing"

"Hahaha... is that so..." Levisay said with a nervous laugh.

"Mhm, most people if they knew what would happen in the future would be asking for questions," She said with a small laugh.

"And you must be Liscia," The blonde said turning to the white-haired girl "I have to say, you are even more beautiful in person than through the screen"

"Thank you, but first of all, can you put some clothes on?" Liscia said with a smile, though looking closer at her face, one could tell she was not happy in the slightest.

"Huh, I have this on, I don't see what's the problem," She said tightening her lab coat "I think it looks quite well on me, what do you think Levi-kun?"

she said this last part with a seductive tone in her voice and a wink with the hope of getting a reaction from the boy, though he kept a poker face.

"First of all, thanks for the nickname, I quite like it, but please don't talk to me in that way, it gives me the frights," He said with an unbothered face, though his eyebrow was slightly raised "Second of all, that lab coat doesn't have any buttons on it, we can see everything behind it, it only covers the bare minimum"

"Oh my, such a young boy and you are lusting over my body already, and you like what you see?"

"I will keep that answer to myself for the next ten to fifteen years," The boy said with a sly smile and a wink "Even so, you need to dress, I don't know about how it is done in your home country, but here we normally wear clothes when we are in the company of other people"

"You are no fun..." She said with a pout and a sigh "But well, if that is what my master wants, there is not too much I can do about it"

Then, some clothes formed on the blonde girl's body, it consisted of a short dark brown skirt, large white tights, brown shoes, a white short-sleeved shirt, a beige waistcoat, and a red ribbon around her neck. Looking at her, Levisay got the vibes of looking at a student of some high society school. 

Though he also was of high society, even in his past life, and even in his youth as an orphan, he had a lot of money over him which he later found out his parents left for him, though he never bragged about it and preferred to live a normal life.

"So what do you think of my clothes now?" She said while making a pose.

"They really suit you well," Levisay said with a nod and a sincere smile.

These were his real thoughts about it, and by the expression he made, Regina knew he was honest with it, which made her form a smile of her own.

"So anyways, from an engineer to one of his fellow, I was excited to know you, I must say, I am quite the admirer of your work"

"Oh, you are an engineer huh, you look pretty young to be one though," She said looking at the boy with curious eyes.

"Well, not in this life, but rather in my past life, I was an engineer, so looking at your work I must say I am pretty impressed by it," He said with a smile.

"What are you telling me?!" She said with genuine surprise and approached the boy quickly "Are you telling me that you died, and then reincarnated in this body with all your previous life memories?"

"That is pretty much what reincarnation means in my book, so yeah"

"And you are saying it as if it was the most natural thing in the world, listen here boy, it is not normal at all, if what you are saying is true, it would change the focus of science upside down"

"About that, since we are going to see each other more lately these days, I think it is something you should know, but please keep yourself from telling any other person about it"

"My lips are sealed, a promise," She said with a gesture as if zipping her lips and then looked at the boy "So anyways, tell me what is your favourite thing in this little complex of mine"

"I saw those giant robots, really impressive"

"Hah, I know right? Those are one of my proudest creations, the Frame Gears, though the ones you saw are outdated versions," She said with a smile.

"By the way, isn't this place a little bit lonely just for you?" Levisay asked with genuine curiosity in his voice.

"Well, maybe, but this place was made for you to use as you please, I made it to maintain that organization of yours, the Shadows or something like that," The blonde girl said looking around "By the way, if my mind works right, and it always do, it was about time for you to meet at least one or two of them"

"The Shadows?"

"Of course, this group you created was tasked with the protection of the world from the shadows, hence the name of the group," Regina said "Looking at what you did, I dreamed of joining the group"

"Yes, about that... I don't know anything about it," Levisay said dubiously.

"How strange, I think it was about time..."

"Host, there is something," Liscia said turning to Levisay "There is a new mission from the system"

"Wow, my first mission huh?" Levisay said with expectation "Verry well, let us see what is this about"

Liscia disappeared and transformed into cumuli of blue light that flew to the blonde boy's forehead, then a window popped in front of him and he read it.

[Mission: Neutralize hostiles

Potential Hostiles soon will be in your vicinity, these people are the worst among the worst, rapists, kidnappers, and traffickers, go and show them why it is a bad idea to mess around with you.

The mission begins in three days and lasts until the moment someone in this city gets hurt because of these people and it will be considered a failure.

Rewards: 15,000 SPCs/ Possible secondary mission with its own reward

"What are you thinking about?" Regina looked at Levisay curiously.

"I am going to put into use the workshop and this R&D facility"

"Something you have in mind?"

"An armor like those giant robots, but smaller, the size of a human"

"Ah, I see, then right this way," Regina aid with a gesture of her hand, and both of them walked to what looked like a table and Regyna activated it "Okay, then let's get ready with the design, we have to do something capable of resisting against whatever you may face out there"
