The quirks

"Well then, it is good to meet you Yua Kaminari and Itsuki Kanimari." When the Kaminari family entered the doctor's office a warm voice aking to that of a kind grandfather welcomed them all in making them relax

Standing before them is a doctor, he is a little bit on the short side for a man, he has greyish brown hair, no facial hair, and some wrinkles indicating his middle-aged status, he is wearing a white lab coat, blue pants, red shirt, and brown shoes

"It is nice to meet you too Doctor Oak." Saying so, Ken, Itsuki, and Yua displayed common curtesy by bowing and greeting the doctor, unfortunately, Denki couldn't bow because he is asleep

"No need for bowing, I am just a doctor. Anyways, the nurse told me that both of your sons have just awakened their quirks so what is the problem?" Putting on a kind smile Oak asked them about their problem before he moved towards his desk and picked up a cup of coffee, he then blew out the steam before drinking some of it very slowly seemingly enjoying the taste very much

The mug is purple with a derp face printed on top of it and 2 crossed bones at the bottom while the lettering says 'Koffee'

"Well, you see, the first one to awaken his quirk is Denki. However, it caused him to shock other children by accident. I heard they are fine however after that Denki used his electricity on our second child Ken. The electricity didn't effect Ken however it did make Denki go to sleep because of over-exhaustion. However, after that follows the confusing part, for some reason Ken couldn't let go of Denki when they hugged it is as if their hands were glued together." Yua opened her mouth and retold the story of how this all happened and how everything came to be how it is while Oak just nodded his head and closed his eyes seemingly thinking about the situation

"Hmm, I see. Give me Denki first, I shall examine him before going over to Ken." Putting on a thinking face Oak decided that his first priority should be Denki since he seems to be in a worse state than Ken and he seems to lack the control needed to effectively use his quirk without harming anyone so he set up Denki as his first patient

"Alright." Getting up from the chair he sat on Itsuki gives Denki into Oak's embrace before Oak takes Denki steel table covered with a white cloth

It seems to be a table especially designed for electric quirk users as there are more than 1 table's in the room, and the big yellow sticker saying 'Electrically safe' is probably another clue

There Oak takes out a number of devices, some normal like a stethoscope and some, rather strange ones that measure various other things and Ken doesn't know what those other things are so he just looks at Denki getting his examination

"Hmm, it seems as thou young Denki is alright, he just needs some rest, it is likely that he just overused his quirk which leads to exhaustion. However, because of his current state, we can't accurately determine what his quirk is. I recommend for you to come by next week after he has had sufficient rest. However, Ken can be tested for his quirk so would you like him to be tested?" After 30 minutes of agonizing silence Oak finally opened his mouth to speak towards the Kaminari family about Denk's condition and thankfully it seems to be nothing serious just some minor exhaustion from prolonged quirk usage

'It seems that my theory was correct, Denki is all right, it's just that he overused his quirk.' When Ken heard the diagnosis he also breathed out a sigh of relief before he went back to a neutral face, he knows from the anime that if Denki releases a high enough voltage he will fry his brain but it seems as thou prolonged use of low voltage can lead to exhaustion

"Thank you very much, doctor Oak. We would be glad to have Ken tested for his quirk." When Itsuki and Yuan heard the doctor's diagnosis they both sighted a heavy sigh of relief for knowing that their child is safe before they both turned serious and pushed Ken forward towards Oak

"Well then, Ken if you could be a good boy and step into that room. And if you complete all the tasks set up you will get some candy." Seeing the parents agree Oak nodded before he crouched down and met face to face with Ken, Oak put on a warm face and pointed towards a door next to him and tried to coax him like any small child into obeying him, by using candy, how sly and dirty, yet also at the same time sweet and delicious

"Alright, uncle Oak." Unfortunately for Ken, he doesn't have a choice but to obey and follow Oak's words, besides that he will get free candy, who doesn't love candy or anything that is free, and free candy is even better

Ken goes towards the door and opens it, only to find out it leads to a completely empty room white room, the room is so white it seems to be sparkling and glowing to a certain extent, Ken doesn't know if it's because of the witness or what but the room also seems incredibly clean

The walls are white, the floor is white and the ceiling is white, everything is just white, it reminds Ken of when he met the god of randomness it's just that back then everything was black and there was no floor, walls or ceiling

"Alright, Ken now listen to what I am going to tell you. First, try to stick to one of the walls with your hand." Suddenly Oak's voice rang out within the room, it doesn't come from just one direction, it is seemingly coming from everywhere worst part is Ken doesn't see any speakers, this room is creeping Ken out, it's creeping him out very very much

However, Ken has to find out about his quirk so Ken just shrugs off the creepiness before he goes to a wall and puts his hand on to the wall or rather his palm to the wall

Now all that Ken does is imagine sticking his palm on to the wall and haza, like magic he has stuck himself to the wall spider man style unfortunately besides Ken in this world no one knows of spiderman

"Great job, now could you imagine yourself releasing electricity, just try to release as much electricity as possible." A few minutes later Oak's voice rang out yet again, and this time he instructed Ken to visualize himself releasing electricity and that's exactly what Ken will do

'Whatever you say old man.' Removing his hand from the wall the same way as he removed his hand from Denki, Ken then goes to the middle of the room and imagines himself releasing electricity, he imagines himself being covered with electricity Enel style and calling himself the god of lightning

Within seconds blue lightning-like electricity is coming out of Ken, it is not simply coming out of his hands, no the electricity incoming out of everywhere creating a show to behold, the electricity is sparking everywhere and destroying everything or at least trying to destroy, the room is too sturdy for that

'Man this is amazing, I'm gonna have to try and shape it.' When Ken saw the electricity his eyes basically sparkled with joy similar to the electricity he is releasing before he tried to shape the electricity all the while Oak is carefully and cautiously observing him

Ken tries to visualize an electric dragon but it fails, then he tried to make an electric wolf but that also fails and finally, Ken tried to make an electric bird however that also fails when all of that failed Ken nearly wanted to cry out in tears

'It seems that electricity isn't easy to control, alright let's try something simpler.' Determined to at least achieve something Ken tried to do the bare minimum and control the direction of the electricity

And finally it worked, the electricity mooved to the left, not by much, maybe a few centimeters however that is still movement and improvement from the previous zero control

But what Ken didn't expect was for his powers to suddenly run out, his electricity almost completely stopped beside a small electric current that is going in between his fingers taking him from the god of lightning to a less than satisfying human tazer

'Hey hey hey, what happened? Where did my lightning go?' When Ken noticed that all of his electricity was gone he pouted, it was very awesome to be the electric lord after all or rather the king of lightning but now all that he is left with is that tiny ass current going between his fingers

"Very interesting indeed. Now Ken for the final test could you please touch the metal rod." Just when Ken was about to ask Oak what is going on Oak's voice once again resonated within the room letting Ken know of his final test

Suddenly a square of the wall lifted away and a metal rod came out, it looks sleek and kinda futuristic with its metallic shine and curved tip, it also makes it look like an adult toy that is definitely not meant for children to touch yet Oak has told him to do exactly that touch it

'Ah shit, don't tell me that doctor Oak is a pedophile.' That was Ken's first thought when he saw the 'rod' he was supposed to touch

However reluctant he may be, at the end Ken still brought himself to not think dirty about this situation and he walked over to the rod before he hesitantly touched the rod and he felt the electricity flowing thru it, the electricity is going out of the rod and into Ken's body

When Ken felt the electricity flowing into him he tried to once again produce lightning-like electricity from his other hand which is not touching the rod and surprisingly it worked which made Ken's eyes sparkle, any kid and adult would want lightning powers now that he had that why would he not be excited

"Alright now, Ken the test is over you may come back to your parents." And for the last time, Oak's voice echoed in the room as he commands Ken for the last time

When Ken heard him he let go of the rod and made his way back to the door, which he then opened and the first thing he did was go to Oak and stretched out his hand

"Hahaha, you want your candy already. Alright here have some mints, now go to your parents I will explain everything I have found out." When Oak saw Ken firstly going towards him he already guessed what Ken wanted and soon gave him some mints

'Mint, that old bastard gave me some mint how is this candy!' When Ken saw mints instead of candy he was pissed, in his last life Ken had a sweet tooth, whenever something sweat was to be eaten he would turn into a black hole with the only purpose of devouring sweet stuff and that hasn't changed in this life either, so when Ken had gotten mints he was pissed, a tick mark on his forehead and a pout on his mouth Ken was angry and he made sure everyone knew about it

So grumbling and against his choice Ken went towards his parents where he sat in Yua's lap and glared at Oak with all the ill intent he can muster, unfortunately, that only made him look cuter

"Excuse me doctor Oak can you tell us what you found out about Ken's quirk?" When Ken returned to his mother's lap only then did she stop being tense, she didn't know what was going on in that room and was afraid for her son's well being so now that Ken is out she decided to talk with Oak

"Well then, the room your son has just stepped in is called the MOR for short. It means Multi Observational Room, it is a room in which as its name would say we observe multiple things. In this room, there is a constant temperature and thru the monitors on this site, we doctors can find even the tiniest of changes that happen to the room or a person/object inside if it. We can see anything inside of the room from the temperature, to the humidity, to the oxygen and other gases ratio, anything can be observed inside of it." Oak didn't really answer the question that Yua asked him but said some unrelated stuff, Yua would have asked him to get to the point already if he wasn't a respectable doctor

"What I have observed from this is that your son has amazing control over electricity and he can produce electricity all by himself. But he can produce only very little of it, however, what your son can do is he can 'charge' himself up by using electricity giving himself that electricity. Let's say it like this. You are a mage in an RPG and you have 10 mana. You can use that mana however you wish and it will slowly regenerate back to you. Because of your low mana you have learned how to control it very well so that you can beat other mages with higher skill not higher mana. But what you can also do is absorb mana from other mages and mana stones giving yourself 100 mana. So now you have a mage with almost perfect control over his mana with 100 mana. Of course, you can not just stockpile mana since that mana isn't yours and it will eventually dissipate, the same will happen to Ken's electricity that isn't his." Oak said all of that in one breath while staring at Ken with practical stars in his eyes, Ken's quirk is amazing in quite some regards and Oak is glad to be able to have sen such a quirk

"Your son has an amazing quirk, although even I can't explain the sticking it probably has something to do with how magnets work. But here is another thing that is interesting. Your other son, Denki has the complete opposite quirk. Although I can't be 100% sure, Denki probably has a quirk that allows him to have large amounts of electricity but poor control over it." Saying that Oak walked back towards his chair and leaned back on to it as he observed the Kaminari family, the 2 sons of the family seem like the complete opposite yet incredibly compatible

"Yua your quirk is called Electricity right? It allows you to create and somewhat control electricity." Saying that Oak took his cup of coffee and slowly drunk it waiting for Yua's reply and Yua just nodded at Oak's question

"Itsuki your quirk is called Conductor right? It allowed you to conduct and store electricity right?" Itsuki just nodded at that statement, their 2 quirks are not really powerful on their own since Yua takes all the backlash from her electricity and Itsuki can't release the stored up electricity on his own instead he has to use machines, that is actually how he had gotten his job but more on that later

"Well, then it is my hypothesis that both Ken and Denki have inherited both of your quirks. It's just that Ken has inherited more of Itsuki's Conductor quirk while Denki inherited more of Yua's Electricity quirk. All in all, I would call them very powerful quirks." Saying that Oak took another gulp of his coffee with a relaxed expression

Itsuki's and Yua's expression at that moment was astounding and they both slowly thought about the information they have just gotten digesting it bit by bit

"Thank you, doctor Oak for your help, we will return next weak for Denki's examination." After a couple of minutes of thinking both Itsuki and Yua have returned to reality so they both thanked Oak and bade goodbye to him exiting the room

Ken was carried by Yua towards the car while Denki was carried by Itsuki as they moved along

Ken was still thinking and grumbling about the 'candy' that Oak gave him that he was truly surprised when an unfamiliar voice called out to him

"Hey, you!" Suddenly Ken heard a voice calling out to him towards his right, it's a strang voice like it came out of a child and it was very rude

'Me?' When Ken heard it he was confused that is until he was called out again this time with directions of where to look at

"Yes you, turn to your right." Again the voice turned towards Ken and Ken followed the instructions getting the shock of his life when he saw what was calling out to him

Ken then turned his head around only to see 6 golden humanoid midgets staring back at him
