One Problem Down

The rest of Christmas break passed uneventfully as Ivy diligently finished all of her makeup work and texted Carson every so often. She was ready to take her finals as soon as she got back. All she had to do was talk to the teachers about doing it during lunch over the following week.

That was one problem down. Her next one was figuring out what to do about Adrian.

Ivy was terrified of dealing with him in person because she didn't know whether or not he would trigger some other new power she didn't want. Or, even worse, increase her radius again.

He knew something he wasn't telling. She had to get it out of him somehow but was drawing a blank. It had been hard enough getting all of her makeup work taken care of with her headaches.

She wasn't a conniving person. Figuring out plans like this was not her strong suit. She needed a strategist on her side but unfortunately Carson wasn't much help in that department either.
