The Hydra

On February 13th, 2019, Jennifer and Chris emerged from the police station.

"So, still chasing your failure?" Chris asked, his tone sharp.

"Shut up," Jennifer immediately retorted, having been reprimanded for believing that a soul could be used to help the world.

"Huh... what?" Chris took out his phone from his pocket, staring at the message from the central, looking stunned.

"A Hydra has been spotted in Manhattan, HURRY!" The two immediately alarmed, rushed into their cars and arrived at the scene. Many people lay on the ground, fallen skyscrapers, and decimated police officers. The dragon had three heads, scaly green skin, it was enormous and powerful, emitting an aura of death. Its mere presence instilled fear and made throats dry. This soul had been seen only twice before, and in both cases, it had destroyed cities. In 2013 in Budapest and in 2016 in Venice.

"WHAT DO WE DO?" Jennifer shouted.

"Wait," Chris said, charging towards the monster. The electric pistol was useless, and he continued to strike, but it was futile.

"A soul that doesn't feel electricity..." he exclaimed. The beast approached him with its yellow, rage-filled eyes. Its indifference to electricity was entirely new because in the other two attacks they were defeated through electric weapons.

"They're evolving...?" the woman thought, watching the beast open its mouth towards Chris. He closed his eyes, accepting his fate, but suddenly a white veil struck the point where the beast stood. A being appeared before everyone, he and Jennifer exchanged glances.
