"I, I don't... I don't know," I was on the verge of tears, my head pounding, and my ears feeling deaf to his questions. I just wanted peace. I wanted to escape... In that moment, a memory came to mind.

December 21, 2013, I was sitting inside a bar, tired and desperate after what happened to Ellie. I still remembered the moment vividly. The bar seemed almost medieval with its colors and architectural choices made by the owner. A grungy place filled with unsavory characters, with shouts and moans mixing with the smell of beer throughout the establishment. An old man sat next to me on a dirty, damp chair.

"What do you want?" I asked, looking at him.

"Nothing, nothing special, son, just enjoy life," he replied drunkenly, and I immediately knew he was about to throw up soon.

"Enjoy life," I muttered, staring at my hamburger, which I had just gotten. My life had always been horrible and full of pain, every moment filled with negativity, except for Ellie. She was the only friend who understood me immediately. The days with her were full of fun and happiness, but without that light, who was I? In that moment, I realized what "peace" meant, a moment when you feel good about yourself and what's around you. Ellie was my peace...

Suddenly, that faint memory stopped. The policeman grabbed my head and forced me to look into his eyes, threatening me.

"So, perhaps we didn't understand each other well," he said, tightening his grip on my hair.

"What are you?" A firm and entirely reasonable question.

"I am human," I replied.

"LIAR!" he shouted, tightening his grip even further. My fear was suddenly erased. A new feeling came over me, my eyes turned bluish again, and my strength amplified. The chains broke, and my hands reached towards the man's face. But then, electricity stopped me.

"AAAAAAAH!" I screamed. My body was on the ground, powerless.

"I knew you would try to do something like that, so I put an electric collar on you as a precaution. Souls have this particular stupidity for electricity," he kicked me in the stomach, making me spit blood on the ground. I struggled to breathe, and the strength I felt before disappeared again. His foot continued to strike me harder and harder, until a figure finally intervened, breaking the cycle of violence.
