Chapter 10: The Hero

Chen Lee and Master Wu finally reached the outskirts of the White Cloud Sect, where they were greeted by a bustling village that had grown around the sect over the years. As they made their way through the crowded streets, they saw many disciples of the sect walking around, their robes billowing in the breeze.

But their journey was soon interrupted by a commotion up ahead. Chen Lee and Master Wu approached to see an outer disciple of the White Cloud Sect harassing a young woman, who was clearly distressed and trying to get away.

Without hesitation, Chen Lee rushed forward to help the girl. The outer disciple sneered at him, "What business is it of yours, outsider? This girl is just a commoner, unworthy of your protection."

Chen Lee's eyes narrowed in anger at the man's words. "No one deserves to be treated this way. Let her go."

The outer disciple laughed and drew his sword, ready to fight. Chen Lee and the man clashed, their swords ringing out as they exchanged blows. Despite the outer disciple's training, Chen Lee was able to hold his own against him, and soon had the man disarmed and on his knees.

The girl looked on, her expression a mixture of relief and gratitude. Chen Lee handed the man his sword and turned to the girl. "Are you okay?" he asked.

The girl nodded, tears streaming down her face. "Thank you. Thank you so much," she whispered.

Chen Lee felt a warmth spread through his chest at the sight of the girl's tears. He had never felt such strong emotions before, and he knew that he had done the right thing by coming to her aid.

Master Wu approached them, his expression serious. "Chen Lee, we cannot stay here for long. The White Cloud Sect is a dangerous place, and we must keep moving if we are to reach our destination."

Chen Lee nodded, but couldn't help feeling a sense of disappointment at leaving so soon. As they turned to leave, the outer disciple spoke up. "Wait! What about me?"

Chen Lee turned back to him, his expression neutral. "What about you?"

The outer disciple looked down, his face red with shame. "I... I apologize for my behavior. It was uncalled for, and I had no right to treat that girl in such a manner."

Chen Lee regarded him for a moment before nodding. "Apology accepted. But you should know that this kind of behavior is not acceptable, especially from a disciple of the White Cloud Sect."

The outer disciple nodded, looking contrite. "I understand. Thank you for showing me the error of my ways."

As they left the village behind and continued on their journey towards the White Cloud Sect, Chen Lee couldn't help but think about the girl he had saved. He wondered who she was and what her story was, and couldn't shake the feeling that their paths would cross again
