Elliott

Sej arrived at Elliott's residence. Elliott's residence was slightly larger than the residence Sej and his friends lived at. It also had a courtyard in the back with plants growing, most of the plants were a shade of green but some blue could also be seen. The residence looked slightly cleaner, less dust could be found and looked slightly more majestic.

Shouting and cursing from Elliott can be heard.

Sej knocks on the door slowly as he stands bathed in the slightly grander environment. The residences in the area that Elliott lives were all similar and the impact on people far greater.

Elliott opens the door. He was a medium-sized boy of about 11-12 years old but was a full head taller than Sej. His hands were delicate and small and his build lean. A scholarly hair emanated from him like he was well-read. Shining red hair and blue eyes that seemed to pierce the veil of clouds in the sky. Elliot's robe was silver but he had allowed cultivation realm, only stage 2, essence gathering realm.

Elliott looks down and sees Sej and his notice for assistance

"You must be here for the mission I posted, hi I am Elliott"

"Yes, hi I am Sej"

Elliott took notice of the uniform Sej was holding and the shabby clothing that he still had from the orphanage.

"A new disciple, and of the Apail family, whatever come in the close the door behind you"

Sej does as he was instructed before following Elliot to the centre of the residence. The residence was also cleaner than his own, not a speck of dust could be seen but lots of materials were lying around. Most likely these were used for making formation She thought to himself.

Elliott spoke "your job mainly includes, moving materials for me, and placing formation flags at certain areas that I point out. You will be paid 10 sect points once the formation is made."

Sej replies "oh, I was hoping to learn more about formations from you" Sej was feeling slightly dejected that the work was only a labour job.

"Haha, naive aren't you, I am only a grade one apprentice formation master, I don't know enough about formations to teach you, at best I can give you a book of formations, but you won't get the sect points from the mission, " Elliott seemed slightly happy about being able to keep some sect points for what he took as common knowledge for anyone wanting to learn formations

"Sect points?" Sej asked with a confused expression.

"Truly know nothing don't you," Elliott mocked silently to himself. "Did you not yet even read the sect rule book yet?" Sej's face flushed red from embarrassment before quickly looking toward his toes.

Elliot sighed in exasperation before continuing, "you gain sect points from missions you complete and you can use the sect point to trade for rarer resources, artefacts, guidance, skills or even setting up your own missions as I did.

Whatever just do as I tell you and at the end, I will give you a basic formation book to study. I suggest you earn sect points and ask for guidance about formations if you wish to learn more about them."

Thus began a day of hard labour by Sej before eating and returning home. Elliott offered some food at his place during the day and evening as he wanted to keep working and not waste time.

Even then the formation was not set up so Sej would have to return the next day to complete the mission if he wanted to gain the book of formations.

Sej returned to his room to cultivate, but first opened the bag he was given and took a look at the sect rules book. The bag was a storage space bag that held about 2 cubic meters of space. Sej currently thought it was large enough for everything he would need, like a walking closet. He was briefly reminded of 'mary Poppins. The book was not too interesting, just stating not to kill or cripple other members of the sect as well as that their badges record sect points and the uses of sect points. The badges also have a language translator in the event that you come across someone of a different race. The language was never a problem to Sej as when the earth was conquered 15 years ago, the common galaxy language was compulsory for everyone to learn and all kids in the future were raised to understand it. What was interesting was that Sej finally found the explanation of the sect robes, It turned out that the sect disciples were split into, outer court, inner court and core disciples, Outer court disciples wear copper robes, inner court, silver robes, and core wear gold robes. As for elders, they have light purple robes if they are outer court elders and dark purple for inner court elders. Members of the Disciplinary court have black robes. The sect master has a red robe. The sect disciples must wear their robes at all times but elders and above only need to wear robes in very formal settings or if they are on duty such as teaching public lessons.

Inside the bag was a pill bottle with two pills. The pills were black in colour and had a few grey spots. They were body refinement pills to help stage one body refining cultivator speed up cultivation. They achieve this by speeding up the absorption speed of spiritual energy into the body allowing the body to evolve more quickly. The grey spots were an indication of the purity of the pills. The fewer the number of impurities, the greater efficiency of the medicine and the more often they can be taken.

Finally. two crystals, the same that which the instructor for the absorption test back on earth gave him, that he was threatened for, were present. They turned out to be low-level spiritual energy crystals and the currency of the world. It was a stable currency as the crystals could be used to speed up cultivation for cultivators and are needed for formations, pill refining and artefact creation. It has many uses so they could be traded with by everyone, no matter the culture and most races. After organising everything, Sej moved on to begin his cultivation session.
