Apail family meeting

There were seven people in the meeting hall. The patriarch was at the head with three people on either side. the first to the left was the disciplinary elder. He had a withered old man with a stoic face. He was a neutral party that did not speak of clan affairs and just listened. Next to him was an elderly woman who had wrinkles all over her face, grey hair and currently had a tired look plastered to her face. She was in charge of the skills pavilion of the Apail family. The last person to the left was the foreign affairs elder of the family. He seemed younger than the other elders, middle-aged but coming to his later year. He had black hair but many streaks of grey were appearing. He was chubby and a cheerful person.

The elders to the right started with the elder of fate and destiny. He was quietly snoozing away like he did not have a care in the world. He was middle-aged and had blue hair. Next to him was the elder in charge of the business, the moneymaker/bread breaker of the family. He was chubby and unless it mattered concerning money he did not care but if it did he would go so far as to bite if you took more than a dime more than you should from him. However he was not a greedy person, he just liked his work and was good at it. Finally was the internal affairs elder. she was young and beautiful. A recently promoted elder and the daughter of the patriarch. She dealt with training the younger generation of the family.

The patriarch spoke, "Our next order of business is the Destiny child found by Lily on the planet named Earth. Currently, he just arrived on Planet Castian of Mayfield sector of the galaxy. What should we do about him." Instantly the room was in chaos with shouting coming from most of the elders. "Give him the core disciple position then forget about him, if he lives or not will be up to him" the skills pavilion elder spoke without care.

"How is that possible, that is a destiny child, they are more trouble than they are worth." The foreign affair elder complained.

"how much would it cost to raise such a twerp?" A voice projected from the business elder.

"Destiny children are rare talents, we should train them for the rise of the family" spoke the internal affairs elder.

The foreign affairs elder looked pissed. "They are trouble, just having him in the family will draw hate from others to us, the whole family could be destroyed. I don't want to act as a mediator to the trouble he will bring"

"How Much Would It Cost?" the business elder raised his voice as no one was paying him any attention. The Patriarch rolled his eyes at the expected scenario presented to him but was secretly filled with glee.

"Destiny children are hard to kill, just let's give him a few skills and resources and leave him alone, that way we would not be dragged into his shit and he would be indebted to us." states the skills Pavillion elder.

"Hate magnets, hate magnets, HATE MAGNETS," whined the foreign affairs elder like a child having just learned a bad word and says it everywhere no matter how many times his parents tell him to stop.

"This could cause the family to rise if he is trained well" the beautiful lady internal affairs elder.

"HOW MUCH WOULD IT COST? Raged the business elder with steam coming out of his ears and nostrils. He was about to erupt like a raging volcano ready to blot of the sun. The patriarch just let the scuffle before him continue as he felt his goal almost about to be achieved. He had plotted and plotted, sowing discord in the clan for the past few weeks for this very moment.

"Let him fight for his place at the table, he should shed every bit and flesh and blood he has in bloody battles showing every skill and technique he has available until he is reduced to nothing and then rise from the ashes of his former self I say. That's what it takes to be a real man" A sweet voice projected through the room with a not so sweet message.

Everyone in the room shivered before muttering in unison "Psycho witch"

"He can be trained, problems can be solved, since when were the elders of clan such cowards" the Internal affairs elder interjected.

"Hehehehehehehe" a burst of maniacal laughter exploded out of the business elder. "Since that's how you want to play, that's just fine, I suddenly remember that a few of the clan's business seems to be going downhill lately, There are just not enough funds and resources to go around." The elder spoke in a soft sinister but a slightly innocent voice. "I guess funds can be pulled from a few certain elders' allowances for the next sixth month to make up for the clan deficiencies. I am sure the disciplinary elder has no problem with this, anything for the clan after all."

Horror painted the elder's faces as they realised the situation they got themselves into, on the other hand, the patriarch was almost jumping in joy. So many resources were going to flow into his hand. Sure they were for the clan but no one would notice or care if a bit of it disappeared and someone got in the hands of his little granddaughter who was soon going to start cultivating, About to arrive on cloud nine but a short sentence brought him to despair.

"Of course, such acts of sacrifice are necessary for the clans continued survival. In fact, I think that the patriarch would more than happily also give up his allowance for causing today's situation." The withered disciplinary elder calmly and slowly spoke, finalising the matter and the elder's despair."

"That's right, bow down to the power of money, mere mortals" the business elder muttered in absolute hysteria. Only to also quickly fall into Despair from another sentence of the withered old man. "Do not forget to show me the account books so that I can ensure that there are no mistakes anywhere. We need to know how much we have lost in this quarter." The patriarch and the elders smirked at the business elder while the withered old man continued to mutter under his breath, "That's right, swim my little fishes, swim." A satisfied smile clung to his withered face along with smugness seemingly shooting out of his eyes asking, what can you do to me? That's right, nothing.

While the patriarch and elders were wallowing in anger and self-pity, they thought to the reason why this situation came about in the first place, Sej. As their anger was slowly transferred Sej the foreign affair elder said, "Hatred Magnet" which instantly cooled down the anger growing in those present and showed why he was given his job in the first place even if he was a bit whiny. "Shall we now move on to the official business and get this sorted out," pointed out the destiny elder who just awoke from his nap.

"Agreed" everyone spoke in unison.
