CHAPTER 40

TESSA POV

It took a week for all the warriors to arrive in the city and we arranged where and when to meet them in the woods outside the city. 

We all got prepared at the mansion and tensions were high. You could practically cut it with a knife. No one knew what was going to happen or who was going to come home. And the worry that I felt coming off of Tyler was palpable. I couldn't figure his emotions out at all. Or these glances that I saw him constantly exchanging with Aria. And the secret little mind links that them two had going on. 

I left my engagement ring in the nightstand at the mansion because it would break when I shifted and I didn't want anything to happen to it. And Tyler and I headed downstairs to meet up with the others and again, we left in small groups carrying backpacks headed to the woods outside of town. 

By the time everyone had arrived it was just after sundown. So Angelo and my aunt's and uncle's had caught up to us.
