The Secrets Between The Prince And I

They say the night holds many secrets, and secrets did Dean surely have. One night, Melissa was drawn to Dean, by a force much greater then she could ever comprehend. And of course, alcohol had a little something to do with it, and maybe lust as well. The morning Melissa woke up in Dean’s arms, everything changed for her. The way Dean made Melissa feel was in stark contrast to her ex-husband. She now knew what it was like to be completely desired, to be adored and she was not easily willing to give that up. When the King of Moldavia found out that his son was ready to marry a woman who was not only a few years older than his son was, had already been married, and to top it off also had two young children, he had enough. The King had granted his son freedom to study in Europe, but he would not stand for this disgrace. The King announced a matchmaking event, and plotted to make his son see that there were other, much more suitable brides, for Dean. Unwillingly, and without telling Melissa his identity, he went back to his home country that summer, as he was ordered by his father. He had made a deal, that if he did not fall for one of the participants, he was free to go. And that was all he wanted, going back to Melissa. Melissa was devastated when Dean was gone, without any proper explanation. She thought their love was forever gone... To chear Melissa up, her best friends thought it would be a great idea to participate in a matchmaking contest, she had read about on the internet. It would surely brighten Melissa's mood, wouldn't it? A free vacation for Melissa and maybe a prince for her. It sounded like musisc to Melissa's bestfriend's ears. Would their love survive the trial?

What?!

I slept in late. That was not something that I was used to. In normal everyday-life I managed several jobs at once, went to college, volunteered at a homeless shelter and managed to keep my kids alive. Needless to say, that my lifestyle gave me little room to sleep and rest.

I yawned when I opened my eyes. The room was lit by the sun. I groaned and put the blanket over my head and blew out sharply. I considered turning myself around in bed once more, and go to sleep again.

Deciding that was probably not the best of ideas, I slowly got out of bed. I pinched my eyes shut, when the images of last night filled my mind again. "Oh, for the love of all that is dear to me, for heaven sakes…." I thought out loud and blew out sharply.

"God…" I said glancing at the bed and then at the phone again. What had I done last night? "How stupid can I be…." I said to myself again. I walked to the bathroom and stared into the mirror.

What would Dean think off me, now I had let myself go like that last night? I felt completely embarrassed by the thought that I had made myself cum and that he had not only watched it, but encouraged it as well.

I walked back to the bedroom and picked up my phone from my bedstand. There were several messages on my screen.

Two from Dean and three from Dani. I did not dare to open Dean's messages first, so I opened Dani's chat.

Dani: Girrlllllll! You can not believe what is happening right nowww…

Dani: Wait for it…. Can you guess? I think you never will. I have entered into a competition.

Dani: And not just any competition…. I have entered in a competition to become the next princess of Maldoviaaaa! Call me!

I stared at my screen for a while, smiling from ear to ear. Would Dani have found that prince that was supposedly walking the university's buildings? I dialed her number and it took a while before she picked up.

"Good morning Dani," I told her. "Morning, it is well in the afternoon, ya sleepyhead," Dani teased me. Was it that late? Probably kinda. It was one in the afternoon. "So you are applying to be a princess, or how does it work?" I snickered.

Dani laughed as well. "There was this tv commercial. I am not kidding, like seriously; a TV commercial, that is calling all the single woman in Europe to sign up to the reality show, that will allow you to date a prince. And if you play the game right, he might end up your husband by the end of the game," Dani cheered.

"I thought it wasn't a mainstream thing when I had signed the both of us up… a week go, but it is everywhere now."

"You did what?!" I shrieked. "Oh… come on… don't be like that… I did not know you and Dean would hit it off this week," she said nonchalantly. "But guess what," Dani hinted on something big. I sighed.

"Do I even want to guess?" I frowned. "Well.. yes. Because the golden tickets were drawn yesterday," Dani tries to entice me. I walked to my bedroom window, that looked out on the backyard. The kids were playing in treehouse and my mother was laying across the lawn on a blanket.

"The golden tickets?" I shook my head. "And you won't believe it," Dani kept on talking. "I probably won't," I said sourly. "Would you really want to go and compete for someone's attention? Worse yet, for someone's affection?!" I spat at her.

I could not think of a reason why someone one would want that. When I thought of competing for Dean's affection, I felt sick to my stomach. I was glad that I never had to do that. Like he said; I had him. "How cool is it to be on TV AND have the chance to live in a castle," Dani said nonchalantly.

"So, I guess you have drawn the golden ticket then," I guessed. It was quiet for a while, so I suspected there was something more… "Dani?" I pressed.

"We are both one of the 50 woman that are especially chosen to compete," she said in a small voice. I stopped breathing all together. She did what?! "What are the odds, huh?" said Dani more cheerfully now.

"Dani, you need to sign me out. Dean would kill me," I thought out loud, getting nervous. "Alright, I get that," Dani mused.

"But you are really going to do it, aren't you?" I smiled. "Yes!" Dani immediately responded. "Well… good for you," I said happy for her. That I was not up for it, did not mean I could not be happy for Dani though.

"Will I see you today?" Dani asked. "Yeah.. I guess," I offered. "Need to go see the kids now though. I will talk to you later," I told her.

The kids were doing just fine at my mom's house and Zion was exited to go to school tomorrow. My mom had promised them a Disney movie marathon, so the boys were not interested in coming home with me yet.

I walked for about ten minutes to the main building. The grounds of the property were gorgeous. When I walked up the stairs to the grand entrance, I heard a few girls calling me.

I hadn't seen them sitting in the grass. One of them was Christal, but she wasn't calling me. It was Lauren. "Hey, how are you?" Lauren cheered as I approached them. "Good, thank you," I offered, not looking at Christal.

"I heard you and Dean are getting serious," Lauren tried to get me to talk. I said nothing. "He gave you a house right," she pressed. "Mhh.. mhh…" I murmured. "True," I said a little annoyed.

It was not like I did not want to answer Lauren, but just not in front of Christal. "But you drove him away," Christal said under her breath. "What?!" I questioned, directing myself to Christal.

"Christal raised one of her well-manicured eye-brows and darkly laughed at me. She did not answer my question, but started a new topic. "I heard you and Dani are so lucky to be picked in the match-making contest," she bit. "Figures that you are the one that gets picked again, seems like you get all the things you do not deserve."
