Chapter 93: Chaos

"And did you add this deadline to this day over here?" Adalee pointed to a day on Ariana's computer screen.

"Dang it. I spaced that one." Ariana sighed as she right clicked it to add the event to the calendar.

"Excuse me a moment." Adalee stepped out of her office to answer her ringing phone. "Good afternoon! Thank you for calling Anderson Publishing Co. This is Adalee. How may I help you?"

"When was Blush supposed to call me?" Carter's voice came out clipped and annoyed. "I was not prepared for such a call and neither of you warned me it was going to happen."

Adalee walked back into Ariana's office and took his schedule from beneath her hands. Ariana peered up at Adalee confused. Adalee rested her phone between her shoulders and cheek, flipping through it fast. "Ariana?"

"Yes?" Ariana perked up and stared at Adalee with a worried expression.
