Chapter 199: Exploring Part 2
Ariana climbed in and sat down, putting her seatbelt on. Carter had the guide take them back to the hotel, deciding it was best to just stay in the room and talk.
"I really am sorry." Ariana clamped her hand over her mouth as a sob escaped.
Carter glanced at her with widened eyes, unsure of what to do.
"Pink," Ariana whispered.
Carter brought himself out of it and immediately wrapped an arm around her and hugged her close, kissing the top of her head and rubbing her upper arm. He hugged her and felt her tears soak his shirt as she trembled in his arms. He didn't say anything because he knew it would only make it worse. She wanted a moment of silence to try and grasp it all. Just a calm moment where nothing mattered, and nothing was wrong between them.
