THE BEST FRIEND

It has been almost two month that we are living together, as roommates. It has not been bad. He is clean and systematic, what more do you want

We basically work from Mon - Sat and Sun we both sleep in or watch some series, we also decided we won't order outside food and try to cook food ourselves as I got food poisoning once and also it's not good for health to eat outside regularly. We have become like best of friends now. Mrs Khosla still gives me hard times but Krutik has been a great supporter and motivator. He exactly knows what to say to make my mood better.

He also told me about him and his ex - girlfriend. He was the one who paid rent every month yet he just took that months money from her and left. He could have fought but it would be too rude to kick out a girl so he was the one who just left. I respect this guy so much more now. Honestly, I have never seen any guy being this mature and respectful about people.

Every time I am in a meeting he makes sure to prepare me dinner. He is not the best cook I know but he is quite good. We do not talk much but we make sure we are there for each other when in need. He always makes sure to take care of me in best way possible.

I am having a great time with my team as well. They are all new and do lack experience but they all are very hardworking and have always tried their best in each and every project.

We have had our fair share of failures in convincing the investors but what is life without failures.

It was afternoon; I get a text from IVY… Ivy Trevor. She is an ideal example of best friend. Well she is kind, funny, friendly… ammmm… okay this all just exclusively for me and people close to her which would just be ME again … Otherwise for others, she is hell sarcastic, a little bit rude but still kind. She is the one who has always been my constant support in whatever I do. Honestly half of the time she doesn't even understand when I talk about my work as I am a Finance major and She is an IT major but she would still listen to me blabbing about finance. She was the one who forced me to apply for transfer and look I am here.

"SOS Rhea. YOU KNOW WHAT?"

"WHAT?"

"CANT TELL YOU ON TEXT. CALL ASAP."

Well her 'you know what' means it's no bad news. It's either good news or a new gossip. So I just thought I will just call her later as I thought it could wait.

I left very late from office today. Well I have been doing overtimes this whole week and yet the work isn't reducing a bit, WE POOR CORPORATE SLAVES, but luckily I had Krutik working as well means on the way back I can take a nap, in taxis I can't really do that for obvious reasons. As we left the office around 10.00 and I check my phone I see 20 missed calls and 50 text which meant danger.

"GODAMMIT Rhea, You better call me back"

"Are you ignoring me now?"

"I am going to breakup with you forever"

"RHEA, Are you okay?"

"I swear if you don't call back I am going to file a case against your company for kidnapping you"

Well yeah that's my best friend. Without wasting a second I called her. In 2nd ring she picked up the call and I didn't know if the phone was on loud speaker or it was just her voice.

"A.R.E Y.O.U O.U.T O.F Y.O.U.R F.R.E.A.K.I.N.G GODAAM MIND?"

I think hearing the sudden noise startled Krutik and he hit the break so hard that we almost were going to crash

"Ohh my God!! Are you okay Rhea? I am so sorry I… just got…" krutik said as I could see fright and concern clouding his eyes while he was holding me back with his one hand.

"No no I am fine. And it's not your fault. I am the one who is sorry. Are YOU okay?" I replied comforting him.

"Yeah yeah…" he said smiling back at me.

"Are you with a guy? Who is he? Don't tell me you already have a boyfriend?" a voice came from the phone bringing back my attention.

"Are YOU out of your mind V. Who shouts this loud? I could have heard you all the way here without this cell phone. I am having earbleeds and we were about to crash. This would be that last time you would have heard my voice"

"Ohh shut your dramatic ass up and who we? You are dating someone? That's fast"

"You shut up, what do you want?"

"Is he Hot?"

"What do you want V?"

"Rich? I heard there are many rich guys in Mumbai."

"V….."

"Just answer my questions…."

"IVY"

"Okay okay, don't tell but I have to tell you something very important…"

"What?" I said frustrated
