'I am sorry but I can't understand your language.' - Soul

It seems the spirit has also realised. What she did next surprised me. I felt something trying to connect with me. With my abilities I realised she was creating a spiritual structure or more like a spiritual link between us using spiritual energy and the new type of energy in this world.

Since I don't feel any threat, I didn't resist. When the link was completed I started to remember words and their meanings which I have never learnt before. Could she be helping me understand the language of this world.

My inner nerd activated. How is she doing that? I strengthened my spirit field on to myself and the link.

Somethings were travelling through the link.... they are spiritual structures.... Strange.... They look familiar.... Oh I see, they are like disconnected memories.... It must be the language of this world. My own memories and the new ones were connecting within myself.

Wow... it feels so strange. Learning a language in an instant when you clearly remember that you have never encountered it before. Hm... for extremely complicated knowledge, if I can create a clear, clean and quality disconnected memory about that knowledge then could I store, understand and recall it perfectly. Learning to reorganize my own memories could give me a huge boost to my mental prowess. So many possibilities...

The link was then terminated.

Oh it seems the transfer was completed. The spirit looks at me and asks..

'Wandering soul who came from far away, I give you my greetings. I am a Great World Spirit. You may call me Seltra.' - Spirit

How polite. It's good that I can understand her now.

'Pleased to make your acquaintance. my name is.... is.... I am sorry but I can't remember my name. It seems that my memory is damaged.' - Soul

The great spirit or Seltra nods in understanding. She seems to think about something. Then a smile appears on her face.

'It's uncomfortable to call you without a name. So might I suggest a name for you.' - Seltra

'Oh thankyou. I have no objections.' - Soul

'How about Ren.' - Seltra

Ren.. sounds simple and a bit japanese but I like it.

'I would gladly accept that name Great World Spirit Seltra.' - Ren

'You can just call me mother.' - Seltra

'What?' - Ren

'My power allows me to create and control life itself. So it's only natural that some beings who meet me get the feeling that they are meeting their mother. I would not find it disrespectful but rather I would be happy if you call me mother.' - Seltra

'Oh.. then mother...' - Ren

'Yes child.' - Seltra

She replies with a caring face. She wasn't kidding.

'Where am I or what world am I in? What is this power that I am sensing here? What type of species live in this world? What will you have me do now?' - Ren

'I will explain. You are currently on the world Seltra or currently on me.' - Seltra

'Huh?..' - Ren

She said... The world... Seltra, as in...

'YOU ARE THE PLANET.' - Ren

'Yes, I am this world's consciousness. What you are seeing is my projection.' - Seltra

'Wow, did my old world also...' - Ren

'I don't know what your old world was like. So i am not sure if that world had an active consciousness.' - Seltra

'... Is that so... Anyway what is this power I am sensing in this world.' - Ren

'It is a power generated by me called mana or magic power.' - Seltra

Did she just say what I think she said. Magic... a supernatural power that I have been searching for all this time... it was here. I found it. Feelings I couldn't describe were ignited within me. All those years I was right. There was magic, it existed.....

I was happy. I wasn't wrong. Those bastards who told me I should face reality were the actual ignorant frogs in the well all along. I wish I could tell them how wrong they were.

I knew this wasn't the end. It was just the beginning stages. I could see my way now. A path only the legends walked on. Now it will be my turn to walk on it. Even though my spiritual abilities were supernatural as well, I couldn't help but get more excited about learning magic.

Right now lets understand more about the situation.

'What about the people living in this world?' - Ren

'There are many species in this world. Due to mana all are able to use magic and have strong physiques. There are humans, demons, elfs, dwarfs, dragons, spirits, magic beasts and many more.' - Seltra

'Wow.. it's like a fantasy world from a novel.' - Ren

'What about you? Where did you come from?' - Seltra

'Oh, I came from a world called earth.' - Ren

'EARTH!?' - Seltra

Strange.. Does she know about my old world. Come to think of it, why do people on earth have knowledge about elfs, dwarfs and magic which are actually present in this world. Could it be in the past or maybe even now there is some type of hidden communication between the worlds.

'Do do you know about earth?' - Ren

'Well... Yes... But how I know is a secret that I cannot tell you. I hope you can understand.' - Seltra

'Alright I understand. Even if I wanted to know, there is not much I can do to make mother reveal it.' - Ren

'Yes, that is true. Now answer me this. How did you attain spiritual enlightenment in a world were knowledge of such things were destroyed and became children's stories. Even if you had travelled around the world and met monks, priests or anyone claiming about the secrets of life, what you have achieved is something very different.' - Seltra

It seems my abilities are the result of what she calls a spiritual enlightenment. Well, there is no point in lying so...

'Well my story goes like this....' - Ren

I explained briefly about my life so far and how I figured out how to achieve soul state. Luckily these memories were not too badly damaged.

After I was finished, mother starts to look at me like I was somekind of rare animal.

'Do you realise what you did? Do you really think that just by emptying your mind and grasping your consciousness by almost falling asleep, you can control your soul, spirit and consciousness?' - Seltra

'Huh.. What do you mean?' - Ren

'Technically you are right but there is something you missed. You see in your old world souls or consciousness were in such a way that attaining spiritual powers or magical powers was near impossible. The structure of the soul itself was a barrier. This is because of that world lacking in high spiritual energy and the complete absence of mana. Also because of the inhabitants believing and acting according to only logic and reasoning and not believing in the supernatural. Even if some did believe, it would be a very narrow and inconsistent belief. As such they will find it near impossible to achieve spiritual enlightenment. But you were a bit of an outcast. I don't know the specifics but somehow you got yourself a unique understanding of life. This type of viewpoint and desires will have an effect on the soul or consciousness. The effect can vary and is very small. But over the years if the person holds to those beliefs it will continuously alter the soul, for you the barriers were weakened. The stronger your desires and understanding, the faster the soul changes. This brought you closer and closer to spiritual enlightenment. When you first glimpsed at your spirit, it shouldn't have been that easy, but it was possible for you to achieve soul state due to the years of soul tempering. In Earth, people who call themselves philosophers, sages and like may seem to have a unique understanding but what you did and what they did are completely different. Even in my world where magic exists only one person has ever achieved spiritual enlightenment but for that person the circumstances were ideal unlike yours. Do you now realise how rare you are?' - Seltra

It was like that. Wow.. all those years.. each and every one of them were meaningful. My life was never wasted. It was all for that day when I achieved soul state.

'Thank you.... For telling me this. You don't know how much it means to me....hic...' - Ren

'There is no need for that. It was all your own effort. When you fell into my world I used a magic spell to examine if you were carrying somekind of threat. I didn't see any but that wasn't all I didn't see. No talent, no special mutation, power or anything. Everything you are now was a result of your own beliefs and effort. It is good if a person with power stands up against evil but it is even more incredible when a powerless person stands up against evil even when they know they are powerless and it is absolutely divine when the powerless one actually manage to defeat that evil. Ren you should be proud of yourself.' - Seltra

She came near and embraced me. Why can't I cry? I feel sad and so happy... I wish... All these emotions...

'It's ok my child. Let it all out.' - Seltra

'Hic-.. Yesh... ' - Ren

(After sometime)

'So what do you plan on doing from now on?' - Seltra

'I am going increase my strength and then figure out how to use mana.' - Ren

'Then are you going to be staying here for eternity.' - Seltra

Just how much did I seclude myself. Come to think of it this world is filled with magic. I should explore it. It hurts me that there is no internet and electronic devices in this world but there is fantasy that didn't exist in my old world. I just hope it isn't as restricted as Earth. But there is a big problem...

'I don't have a body anymore. I had already died.' - Ren

'That's true. But you can still reincarnate.' - Seltra
