The Scent Of Lust And Tears

Twenty-year-old Felice Bonny from Kingston knows many things. She knows how long she can hold her breath. She knows how many steps it is from her room to the garden. She knows that her stepmother doesn't have a drop of goodness in her body. She knows her father is wrapped around her stepmother's finger. She knows that she doesn't belong to the place she calls home. She also knows she's ignorant of the world beyond the walls of her home. Felice, daughter of a lord and former sailor, has lived a life in wealth. But wealth also comes with ignorance and captivity, or so does Felice think. Felice can imagen that her stepmother and halfsister see it as the opposite. Felice never expected to follow her heart. Never expected to follow her, and she deceased mother's, dreams. Never expected to see the ocean again. Smell it. Feel it. Never expected to sail over the many seas. To be free from the expectations her family had. From the upcoming forced marriage. The corsets. The dresses. Never expected actual friends. True love. Never occurred to her. In the slightest. Until she met the captain of the Black Pearl. Disclaimer!! **I do not own most of the characters in this story nor do I own the pirates of the Caribbean franchise. However, I do own some characters like Felice, her family, Prince Felipe, and other characters along with the story. I've also taken several lines from the movie to match my storyline up with the original, along with events. All credit to the creators behind this amazing series** --English is not my first language, so feel free to come with improvements:)--

"I'm Will, but you already knew that?"

The bright light hit me in the face. The first thing I felt was the pain in my head. I moaned. What the bloody hell happened? I opened my eyes slowly, realizing I was laying on the ground. Why was I laying on the ground? I shoved myself up into a sitting position. My dizziness made the room swing. The carpet underneath where my head had been, had a big red stain. Blood? I raised my hand to my forehead and felt something warm and wet. My fingers were covered in blood. My own blood. Then everything from last night came flooding back to me. Bloody god. Those bastards! I pushed myself up on my feet. Elizabeth. I staggered out the door. The chandelier was still smashed in the ground. There were both big and small holes in the walls, and anything breakable was broken. Someone had removed the servant's body. Why hadn't anyone found me? I could've been dead as far as they knew. "Hello?" I yelled. My voice echoed in the empty mansion. I waited. Nothing. "Elizabeth!" I yelled again. Nothing. What could they have done to her? I trotted through the doors and started running down to the town square.

....

Everything was chaos. People wandered around in the streets, attempting to clean up the mess. Chickens were running wild around the streets. Smoke from houses in ruin. I looked around. My head was still pounding. Guards carrying injured, or even dead. closed my eyes. I didn't want to know if they were dead or not. I didn't know what I should do. I had no idea where Elizabeth was. Neither did I know where my own family was. Hell, I didn't even know where that perv Antonio was. I started looking around.

"Hey excu-" I began, but the woman just gave me an unpleasant glance, and walked away. Rude. I tried again.

"Excuse me si-" the man just turned his back to me. I began to panic. I didn't know anyone here, and no one knew me either. I walked down the streets, hoping to end up somewhere or bump into someone.

"That's not good enough!" someone yelled. I looked around me but continued walking.

"-re not a military man or a sailor. You are a blacksmith." Someone answered the man that seconds ago had been yelling. I didn't think much of it, but then it hit me. That man Elizabeth had mentioned yesterday when we first met. That man she liked. He was a blacksmith. I turned around, looking for the blacksmith. It had to be him. How many blacksmiths could it be? What was his name again? It felt like my head was about to explode. Come on brain. What was it? Warren...William?...Will! Will it was. I began walking back to where I had come from. I saw a man walking with his back to me. It had to be him. He was young. My age.

"Will?" I took the chance of yelling. People looked at me, but no one stopped to answer. "Will?" I yelled louder. The man a few meters in front of me stopped and turned around. Was that Will? He sure looked like a will. Young, tall, muscular, brown hair. He looked like a big question mark. I don't blame him. He had no idea who I was. I strutted towards him.

"You know Elizabeth, right?" He still looked clueless. "Uhm, I'm Felice" I offered him my hand to shake. He took it.

"I'm Will. But you already knew that?" Awkward. I suddenly came to realize I walked around wearing only a robe. Elizabeth's robe.

"Yeah, Elizabeth told me about a certain good looking blacksmith named Will, and since you match that description I really hoped you were the one she was talking about," I explained. His dace got red and he scratched his neck.

"Oh, here I am" he looked closer at me. "Hey, you're that girl that almost drowned, and got threatened by that pirate Jack Sparrow"

"Yeah that's me"

"Felice Bonny, right?" I nodded.

"You know Elizabeth. Do you know where she is? I got knocked out last night." he looked at my forehead.

"Oh, yeah it doesn't look that good. You should get it checked" he told me with a warm smile. I could definitely see why Elizabeth liked this man.

"It's okay" I waved it off. "But do you know where she is?" He looked down at the ground.

"They took her." What the actual lord?

"They took her?" I yelled. I looked around, realizing people stared. I lowered my voice. "They took her?"

He nodded. "Last night. The pirates took her to their ship" he looked down again. "I'm sorry, miss Bonny" I lifted my hands to my head. What should I do now?

"They're looking for her, right?" I asked him.

"They are, but they're not willing to do everything they can. It will take too long to do it their way, my lady." Bloody hell. I took a deep breath."Okay. Okay. It's fine. Everything will be fine. She will be fine" I convinced myself.

"I'm sorry"

"It's not your fault. It's those bloody pirates. So you know where the Bonny family is?"

"No, I'm sorry miss"

"Again with the apologies. It's not your fault. Stop apologizing. Do you have any idea where her father is?" He smiled and pointed behind me.

"Right in there, where I came from" I looked where he pointed.

"Thank you so much!" I turned around. "And hey-" He looked at me. I smiled. "-Elizabeth will be okay. I'm sure of it" We smiled, and out paths parted. I wondered if I would ever meet him again.
