He was 17 years when before the night he snuck out to go to his friends

Aileen's father warned him about them, he warned him to stay away from them but regardless he went out that night

That night his friends held him at gun point together with some old men and told him to call his father for an amount, they called and called but his father didn't respond, they told him to lead them to his house so they can get the money but he refused he knew the danger, they beat him almost to death as he saw the smile on his so called friend's faces

Luckily for him, Aileen's dad followed him and called the police and they swore to take revenge

At the hospital

"Don't tell my dad about this''

"I would because that's the right thing to do, I have noticed my friend is losing his family and he hasn't noticed maybe this will draw him back from wherever his head is "

Brian cried in his arms

He was never going to trust anyone again, he will not allow anyone to be close to him again, he was not going to be used again, Brian thought

Two months moved passed that incident, but the revenge they talked about happened, one of them jailed escaped when they were being moved to a different prison, he remembered Aileen's dad face that he had been tailing him, he shot him dead in front of Brian and he never forgave himself, he couldn't face Aileen's family, because of him children lost their father, a wife lost a husband and a family lost their source of income and direction.

Every time he saw them his guilt couldn't leave him, why didn't they kill him instead or maybe that was what they wanted, to let him live but not breath and then they were to stay at his father's house and he was disgusted with himself every time he saw them and tried to avoid them, he thought it will ease their pain when they just don't see him and what made it worse was the wife was too kind she never blamed him and was always smiling at him, he couldn't take it, he felt disgusted by himself and acted in a way that they could hate him that was the logical thing they should hate him and blame him for being the reason why they couldn't live in peace and live the life they wanted and deserved.
