prologue

It was the starting of a day and beside a lake stood a cottage a little away from some others. Beside the lake an old couple were sitting, the man had a fishing rod in his hand and the woman was looking at some vegetables. The old man looked up and gasped because he saw a huge oval rock floating!!! yes it was floating toward the old man. The rock was as big as his hand and he stared at it. The wife came from behind to see it as well. They picked it up and took it to the cottage. Inside they tried breaking it open but nothing from the smoothest chisels to the biggest hammers worked. For three days they tried to break it open but nothing happened so they decided to throw it away. But on the night of the third day something unexpected happened the egg cracked open and inside it was a little baby. The couple were old and weak so they thought to take the child and make helper out of him for there days.

-14 years later-

The boy had been working for the couple for 14 years now. They had given him minimal food and clothing. They never gave him a name, he asked sometimes why but they alway said "Only things that exist has a name." This confused him a lot because he never understood the meaning of it. One day the couple heard that some army people and some people who check the health of children were coming. They answered to only the king and it was there job to come and see if all the children were being given the proper resources, education and food distributed by the king. They have not come in last 20 years and the couple was scared. If they were found out then the' be punished and hung to death. They though about it and decided to kill the boy and throw him somewhere to hide the evidence. They got a huge sack and a knife and were ready to kill. They sneaked on the sleeping boy and they old man rased the knife above the boys neck and pushed it down.

The boy woke up in the morning but all he saw around himself was fire and blood there was no sign of the couple who had taken care of him. He ran to the lake but something felt off he felt a lot heavier and also like he could fly. He peered into the lake and what he saw scared him. What he saw in the lake was a dragon. And not any dragon it was the Jade dragon, the rarest and most dangerous of all. He had to run and tell the guards the dragons were ordered to be killed by the king. But then something hit the boy. It was the realization what he saw was a reflection, The reflection of himself!! He was the jade dragon!! He had to run if found he will be killed. He heard somthing like a footsteps of soldiers. Had he been found! He had to run if he somehow found a Dragon village a kind of Santuary then he might be safe. Thinking that he took off to see and find an SANTUARY.
