It wasn't an out of the blue concern, especially considering how much Elias has been manipulating Serenia's behavior behind the back all this time.

If Elias, someone who she trusted to the highest degree continued to whisper sweet lies into her ears and made it so that Duke Ardenne appeared to be a man who holds unlimited charm and gifts, who says that her infatuation can't be forged?

"..Did he tell you that I called him? Well, I needed him to do a favor for me. It concerns some monster subjugation, nothing much. It's definitely not about the ball." Elias looked disturbed, but he quickly put on his mask and continued.
