Increases in stats weren't the only rewards he got from doing challenges in the past month. Maybe the god from above pitied him during his torturous training, they had bestowed him a reward that increased his mastery of Haoshoku.

Now, not only could he differentiate between his allies, but he could also control it in many ways, quantity, qualities, direction,..etc.

So, when Jayce released his aura, it only targeted Vi, Powder who was confusedly looking between the two, wondering why her sister is shivering with sweat flowing down her forehead.

*Pat* But what awaited her was a few pats in the head. She opened her eyes confusedly, as she looked up and stared at Jayce's face.

'He's actually not that bad looking...' Vi muttered in her head, this is her first time getting a closer look at his face. Brown eyes, beautiful hazel hair, diamond-shaped chin, his skin is clearer than the best-looking woman she had ever seen.

Her thought was interrupted when she felt the space enclosed as she got embraced by Jayce. This should be one of the most dangerous situations she had ever gotten into as when the enemy get a hold of you means Death! But somehow, she couldn't or better, doesn't want to push him away, she feels a sense of warmth and security that even her godfather, Vander, could compare.

"There, there, you're safe now, I'm sorry that you had to go through those trials, I'm sorry..." Jayce said a single tear dropped from the corner of his right eye. He then indicated Powder to come closer as he also hugs her too.

'Maybe I should thank God for my luck, huh...' If he were to be born in the same environment as Vi and Powder, without status, without money, without food, shelters, and especially without the system. He couldn't imagine how he would live his life, struggling to see another day.

The three continued to hug and console each other for several minutes, Vi is fine but her gaze softens when she looks at Jayce, Powder on the other hand...

"WAHHH!" She is bawling her eyes out on Jayce's shirt, wetting it. As if venting her pain and suffering for all those years.

Jayce smiled wryly, patting her head, then looks at Vi.

"I have a proposal for you guys, I wonder if you want to hear me out?" Jayce inquired.

"Proposal?" She asks, they had just gotten to know each other, what could there be any business between a rich noble vs a slump dweller?

"Well, it's more connivence for you as I have no profit in this, I want you guys to be my disciple," Jayce said, shocking both vi and the crying Powder whose mood suddenly changed brighter.

"Why?" Vi with her blunt personality didn't like to beat around the bush and asked. Don't get her wrong, Jayce is extremely strong, someone that could even survive the void beast invasion, he has more than enough credentials to be their master, but why them? They barely just met.

If Jayce could hear her inner thoughts, he would also lament about his decision as well, all because of a certain evil being...

*Sigh* She sighs, with a soft smile, she hugs Powder, whispering sweet things to her ears.

"I agree.... but I have some ground rule," Vi said.

The relationship between us is equal, you respect and vice versa.

"Do we have a deal?" Vi asked. Honestly, her thirst for power is extremely great! She was over the moon with Jayce, an Arcanist, asking them to be his disciple. She would have accepted the request the first time if Powder weren't part of her life, but alas...
