Chapter 10 - Establishment of the Golden Chance

The trio was sitting together around the table, each with a cup of water in hand. However, their stomachs seemed to growl melodiously together. They had water and shelter, but now they needed food, a way to bathe, and definitely some defense.

Because of this, they decided to sit together to discuss their future plans. There was a huge world that had just opened for them. They knew that the Lareyville province had enough places they could possibly explore for portals or monsters to hunt. They knew they needed to keep improving to survive in this new world.

For now, they decided to explore their new home village and gather any materials to put up a basic wall. But before they went outside, there were a few things Collin wanted to do first, starting with calling Sandy.

"Sandy, I was wondering if you would be able to have a simple overview as your main screen by default?" Collin asked.

Sandy spun around. "Of course, Collin! Just tell me how you want it to look!"

"Ahh, good to hear, Sandy. In that case, could you show my stats to the bottom left and my minions on the top left? Inventory in the bottom middle, and my current quests above my inventory, and maybe a few handy features on the right side?"

"Of course, Collin, I will now be configuring it to your wishes." Sandy's screen then changed to configuring, with the percentage slowly increasing. At last, it was finished.

Collin could now see his stats:

Host (Collin)

Level: 2

Exp to next level: 30 (20/30 collected)

HP: 20

ATK: 2

DEF: 2

Passive Skills:

Basic Assembly, Robomechanic's Gift

Regular Skills:

Quick-Repair (Heal 1.5 HP of a minion/5m cd)

Wrench Smash (Deal 10% damage on the enemy, ignoring DEF)

He then went over to his inventory and saw a Components Bag. He clicked on it curiously but found out it only contained the components he had found, which right now was basically just the ancient screws. For that guardian he would likely never get, it was good to see that all of his parts didn't take inventory space but instead got placed in this Components bag. From what he remembered of the game, it most likely wasn't unlimited. So he double-checked, and like he expected, he now had 2/50 spaces filled. Leaving that as it was, he checked out other items in his inventory but only found two small health potions. Then he checked out the RTP he had gotten and saw he had 100 total, which was pretty neat.

Above the inventory was what the current quest was. However, he hadn't received any quests since completing the tutorial quest, so it was currently on "none". Then he looked at his minions tab and was pretty surprised. First off, there stood:

2/2 minions:

Steel Boar

Robo-Bird

There went Collin's dreams of making a minion army; there's a limit on how many he can have with him, and it is currently at max. He was actually wondering why his robo-rat was wandering around the village instead of following him around like the boar and robo-bird did.

So he clicked on the 2/2 and was met with a selection screen and just left it be because, even though he adored the rat, it was nothing compared to the boar or the bird.

"Hey, Sandy, will all my minions who aren't active on my party be wandering around our house?" Collin asked.

"Yes, if a minion isn't in the party, they will retreat to the base of the host. The base of the host is currently set within this village. Minions who wander around here are actually patrolling and will be defending their home while the host is gone.

Actually, Collin, you haven't set your home territory yet. Would you like to establish a settlement? This will open new options, and you have the minimum requirement of three inhabitants.

Yes - No

Collin looked at Maya and Samuel, expecting an answer, but they simply replied with "sure." So Collin clicked on Yes.

New quest gained:

"Very well, Sandy, create the tribe with the name 'Golden Chance'," he told Sandy proudly.

Host successfully created the tribe "Golden Chance".

Please make a design.

A painting program arrived in front of Collin. He looked out of the window and thought for a while. He then decided to make the emblem a simple golden flower, symbolizing Mother Earth giving them a new chance.

He clicked on confirm and clicked on the tribe icon at his menu. He went to member and clicked on "invite a new member," and he pointed at Maya and Samuel, who then got a system prompt.

Would you like to join the Golden Chance?

Both Maya and Samuel clicked on Yes.
